I think they should break it up into two seasons as well. Season seven could start at the beginning of Sabaody.

Keep in mind that Season 2 was over 100 episodes. That should've been split into 2 seasons, although I think it has to do with that particular story arc corresponding to what 4Kids did, which was basically cut down that part of the story to typical season length. Either way, it's not farfetched to think that Season 6 could be that long.

As to why exactly they've announced Season 5 and "Strong World" so far in advance, and perhaps have even more to announce? Well, there could be a combination of reasons but I don't remember all the ones I've thought of already off the top of my head. For now, I'm guessing maybe FUNimation and Toei Animation are attempting something along the lines of what VIZ did, and that is catching up to the Japanese release as quickly as possible. Obviously they can't do it like they can publish a book, so consistently releasing a new season each summer is the best way to go.

Also remember how long it took for Season 4, a lot of fans couldn't stand the wait. Not only are FUNimation and Toei Animation possibly trying to avoid that from now on, but the way "One Piece" is being treated now, from the simulcast to the re-branding (One Piece 101 videos and the new style for the trailers), to future releases that have been announced (and I guess we can count the rumors if you want), to the re-pricing of the DVDs, the Neon Alley broadcast… this could explain why it took so long to get more "One Piece". Maybe they were negotiating a long-term gameplan and we're starting to see it.
