HbP is propably one of my least favourite books in the series; that said, it doesn't mean it's not good.
Like the Amazon review I feel not much happened in the book, and I also figured out who the HbP was, and what Malfoy was up to, Rather quickly- for the first time, the "major revelations" didn't surprise me that much, and I thought there was too little info on the "War". I mean, is it worldwide, or is it simply England that is taking a beating?
However i found the idea of you-know-whats to be intriguing, and Fenrir Fascinated me. -
I wasn't overly pleased with Book 6 either. I mean, Books 4 and 5 had me BLOWN AWAY, but Book 6 is kinda "meh." Even with Dumbledore's death, which did have me surprised. I kinda pegged him for death before this, but I was under the impression he wouldn't die until Book 7.
All in all, Book 6 is basically a set-up novel. It's the big set-up for the big showdown, and does not easily stand by itself.
I'm gonna go read Book 3, it's my favorite.
