Hello there, just recently become a very big One Piece fanatic and love watching the anime. Was just wondering why Kaizoku have only subbed up to 150 and that gerosama(?) are releasing episodes in the early two hundreds. Did gerosama start subbing from somewhere other than the begining? how is it that kaizoku are so far behind (since most anime i watch is subbed within a week or so of it being aired)? are the gerosama subs any good? and where can i get back episodes of the gerosama subbed episodes?

We've NOT subbed episodes 141-219**

K-F subs from region 2 DVDs. Gerusama subs from TV rips. K-F has higher quality subs than Gerusama. Translation is better, spelling and grammar is better. But Gerusama's eps are still quite good.

If you want faster, offer to help or donate. But quality work takes time, and OP is a long series. Plus, it's not as if this is their day job. This is something they do for the love of the show.

the main reason kf is so far behind the anime is because they wait for the dvds to come out

Gerusama started at the end of the foxy arc so people who are up with the manga have a good subed version. they use tv rips so they can keep up with the anime
so you cant get past episodes from Gerusama because they dont exist

We started when the series was at episode 124, almost three years after it first started airing.

That's the reason.

Since you are here in the topic, I have a question.

I was watching some older episodes from when it was KF and Aku-Pixel or whatever. You seem to be the "head" of KF, doing all sorts of things, but I noticed that your name isn't in many of the old episodes.. Did you just go by a different name or something?

I also have a question.

What's gonna happen in the case that you catch up to the DVDs?

I may be wrong, but I heard that the DVDs are at ep 180, and you guys are about 30 eps away.
Your latest releases have been pretty fast, and I'm sure other people are thinking this same thing.

Now I'm not telling you how to do things, but if I were in this pickle, I would use the RAWS, and then redo the episodes with the higher quality DVDs later.

So what's up?

Nope, I wasn't there then. I joined the distro crew (lowly bandwidth grunts) around ep 7, and then I didn't get into the subbing aspects until the 30's (because they screwed up Ending 2 Run Run Run soooooo bad I forced my way in ;o )
