      http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/04/07/beatles.remastered.catalogue/index.html

      Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music have announced that as the date for the release of the entire original Beatles catalogue, digitally remastered.
      That includes all 12 Beatles albums in stereo, with track listings and artwork as originally released in the UK. The package will also contain the LP version of "Magical Mystery Tour" (initially released as a double-EP in Britain, though available on CD since 1987) and the collections "Past Masters Vol. I and II" combined as one title.
      The release marks the first time that the first four Beatles albums are being made available in their entirety on compact disc, and it also coincides with the release of "The Beatles: Rock Band" video game.

      Nice, I never did complete my collection…I still have a lot of vinyl ^^

        mmmm I saw these a few months back advertised. Gonna be a HUGE dent on my money next month ;-;

        Amusingly they are releasing 60s themed Rock and Roll Movie 'The Boat That Rocked' around the same time. Cant wait for both XD

          Oh no, they found another date to bring out new remastered collections.
          Let's hope it's worth the money. Got a lot of CDs already, my mother owns many vinyls.

            I might pick up another copy of Sgt. Peppers with the remaster, since I have this annoying buzzing in the background of my copy.

              I'm very excited about this. I have been holding out on completing my Beatles collection because I just KNEW they'd remaster them some day. I guess good things really DO come to those who wait!

                Yeah, Sgt. Peppers is definitely going to be first on my list. And Abbey Road since my old copy turned out to be defective. I'm probably fine with the rest of the old CDs, but we'll see.

                  Hmm, it'll definitely put a dent in my wallet, but perhaps I will buy a few of these.

                    I think I'm most excited for Revolver and Rubber Soul. They're possibly my favorite Beatles albums.

                      Revolver is probably my favorite, actually. But I'd have to hear a pretty big difference in the CD quality for me to buy it again.

                          picked up Sgt Pepper and Revolver the other day. Both sound absolutely brilliant. Much better than the older CDs I got. Will pick up Abbey Road soonish too.

                            Bought the stereo collection along with Beatles Rock Band last week.

                            A good week for Beatles fans.

                              I heard on the radio that the estimated revenue expected from Beatles Rockband and re-release of the catalog is going to be about $1.6 billion. Now that's something. BTW, does anyone know who owns the rights to the Beatles songs now that Michael Jackson is dead?

                                it's a massive clusterfuck between sony/atv and Jacksons' estate. Jackson being in huge debts at the time of his death didn't help matters one bit.

                                    i got the game, and the stereo remasters box set. best money's i've spent in some time, those cds.

                                    if you want a good time, listen to them start to finish, in the order they came out.

                                    SUCH an amazing ride.

                                      Bump because I finally picked a bunch of these up.

                                      Just got Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt, Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Let It Be, Abbey Road, and Past Masters (That's all I got in order)

                                      We've been listening to them all day, listening to Abbey Road right now, Sun King is playing and just WOW! The Remastering job was just fantastic! The Discs finally sound pristine, you can make everything out, and there's no more buzz on the earlier stuff.
                                      Plus, hearing the Earlier stuff from Past Masters Disc 2 in Stereo is nice!

                                      And the cool thing is, my Significant other's gonna pick me up the Beatles "Box Of Vision" box to keep em in

                                      Also, Mushroom Boy is right, but you have to listen to them in Production Order instead of release Order (So Past Masters Disc 1 Goes just after Please Please Me, Disc 2 Goes Just after Let It Be, and Abbey Road goes just after that) that way you listen to everything in order, and you literally end on "The End".

                                        I finally went out and bought Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band today and I've already listened to the whole thing. There were quite a few songs on there I hadn't heard before and they were pretty good. Of course I bought because it has my favorite song "With A Little Help From My Friends."

                                          You really have to listen to their albums as singular entities. I definitely can't imagine dissecting any of their studio year albums.

                                          @Demon:

                                          I'm quite enjoying the masters. I've got all of them aside from Revolver (the store didn't have it for some reason) and Yellow Submarine (who counts it, anyways?).

                                            I Me Mine was worked on during the Let it Be Sessions, it was just never actually recorded in Studio Quality, that's why they went back after Abbey Road, but they simply went back to do a proper recording for the Album, John actually wasn't even there, he'd already privately quit the band at that point.
                                            The End is the last track the Four of them recorded together as the Beatles (Before Free as a Bird and Real Love at least)

                                            @Wagomu:

                                            I'm quite enjoying the masters. I've got all of them aside from Revolver (the store didn't have it for some reason) and Yellow Submarine (who counts it, anyways?).

                                            I'm enjoying the HELL out of these! The quality is just superb! I've noticed the older songs sound more noticeably better, but just WOW! And the pricing on these is great!
                                            I'm getting them in increments of 2-4 because the Target I work at has them for 11.95 each and has a "Buy Two, get a $5 Gift Card" Deal until October 10th, so I'm buying them in increments of 2, then using the gift cards to buy the next couple of discs XD Between this deal and my Employee Discount, I'm paying great prices!
                                            I'm probably going to pick the Rest up in the next day or so. Still gotta get Please Please Me, Meet the Beatles, Hard Day's Night, With the Beatles, HELP! and… I guess I have to get Yellow Submarine for completeness' Sake, even though the 1999 Songtrack Release is already leagues better...

                                              Most of these will probably end up on my Christmas list, since right now I'm beyond broke and I can't even order Porcupine Tree's new album yet :cwy: Spare change goes to Marillion's new acoustic CD coming out in a few days first. Damn, how is it all these good CDs are coming out at the same time.

                                                @Bad-Beat:

                                                Bought the stereo collection along with Beatles Rock Band last week.

                                                Same. It was definitely a good week for Beatles fans.

                                                Loving Rock band, it's my first foray into the Rock band games, and prolly my only foray. Can't get into it when they're not songs I care about. They put a ton of effort into this game, just stunning.

                                                And the remasters - holy hell. Noticeable difference. The bass lines for many songs is a lot clearer. A must buy for any Beatles fan. Easily the best $180 I've ever spent.
