14 seconds of Fudging AWESOME! The animation looks smooth, color is well tuned to the mangas feel, and the (I hope) theme song I heard in the background is already catching my ear.
Didn't like how Leon turned into the gun. It looked too much like how Ninteno turned their Duck Hunt guns yellow to keep them from looking realistic. Wait…did that even happen in the manga? NOOOO! Creativity liscences have been given out! Duck and cover!

Erm. I think that's an AMV. that song is from/in Eyeshield 21 (titled "BE SURVIVER").. >_> Dunno, just seems a little weird to me that they'd use that song.

Man, do I hope so. Same for the rest of all the Jump shows starting early October, just Death Note, D.Gray-Man, Buso Renkin, and Reborn I think? All start the same week, too. Can't wait, just hopefully each series is picked up (and someone continues Gintama!)

I'd say it takes till volume three to get going, but yea.

I have been getting interested in this series ever sense e1n has been doing fanart for it.
However I have far too many mangas I'm reading right now and too many I want to read in the future. If someone could give me a good non-spoiler sum of the series I can see rather I wanna add it to my list.

Whatever we are still scanlating now (up to c25) is still boring arc, at least for me. And it'll continue until the "daily" arc ends, which is c47, or for some people, c61. Those daily arc is mainly for gags and character introductions, so you won't miss much of the story if you skip it, but you wouldn't know who's who later.
Some people have already scanlated c62-81 (Kokuyo arc), and something will happen soon for the arc after that (Ring arc) :O I wonder what :D
Probably the best way is to read up to middle of v4 (c27 or so), then skip to Kokuyo arc and continue onto Ring arc. Then when you like it, you can come back to Daily Life arc and get to know more about the characters :)
Now that said, since this is an anime thread… I wonder if anime will continue those Daily Life arc for a while... I really think they should somewhat shorten the daily life arc, and jump into Mafia land, Kokuyo, and the Ring arc :x

Pssh,, Buso Renkin Volume 2 was easily the greatest thing ever just because of the "prancing around in a thong" moment….
but I hope Hitman Reborn gets subbed.. as I've read a bit of it, and really like it.

I saw it today and Barnes and Noble. Didn't get to buy it though. I am running low on cash too. I was going to read it there though,but I had to go.
Also why do you buy it when you have the japanese version? Oh well though, but its out btw.
Also,what is the link for the later scanlations for the koyuou arc (62-81). I am very interested in reading it.

And I buy English one to support the author, even though I don't really "read" it. I usually buy v1 of whatever I scanlated so that I can check out the translation, and buy more if I like the series (ie Yotsuba&!) so that I can make my friends read it :)
I should check out B&N or Borders… tomorrow, maybe. What time do they close? I wonder if Border's have it already.

I only have one burning question now that they americanized "Dying Will Bullet" and "as if I were to die"…..

(if you do get together a group for REBORN) Not the same for Sunday: neither Kekkaishi (which is out as a manga in the US already) nor Shishou Saikyo no Deshi Kenichi (which I already know one other person that is interested…well outside myself, if I cared about fansubs ;P) have fansubbers yet.

From the start, kirimi and her friends only planned to do Kokuyo arc. KEFI recruited majority of Reborn! staff from LJ, too :P (All recent posts in that comm is done by our staff.) So yeah, no worries.

Yeah, Reborn has slowly been creeping up on my newer favorites from Jump, and the Kokuyo arc solidified that for me. And the Vongola Ring arc is already off to an.. explosive start, so it looks like the series just keeps getting better. Many thanks to you, ocean, and the rest of KEFI for bringing Reborn to us.
And, my local book store finally got the first American volume in. So nice to actually hold it in my hands~
