I actually thought of this thread while the forums were down, but didn't make it. I think the thread title is self-explanitory. Just pick a game (preferrably one that you've beaten) and review it then give it a score on a 1-10 scale.
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django
System: GBA
Genre: Adventure/RPGish/Stealth
Best Feature: Excellent Audio (best on the GBA in my opinion)
Worst Feature: Inventory is limited
Boktai 2 is the follow-up to Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand which was by Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame (Solid Snake even has a cameo!). As Django, you return to your hometown San Miguel after adventuring in the City of Death, Istrakan in the previous game. Roughly 5 minutes in, you lose your main weapon from the last game, Gun Del Sol, by having it stolen by a Vampire. You shortly gain the ability of ENCHANTMENT, which allows you to fuse magic with whatever weapon you're equipped with. One interesting aspect in this game is the solar sensor on the cartridge that effects the game world (such as being able to recharge your magic energy and purifying the bosses at the Pile Driver). The stealth feature is an interesting idea, but you can get pass some enemies a little too easily (Mummies, which can only detect you through hearing footsteps, don't have as big a range of hearing as the last game did). This also has my favorite BGM for a GBA game, especially the bosses. It also has an addictive minigame called SOLARSMITH, which allows you to combine weapons to make a new one. I personally can't wait for the sequel to this fine game.
SMALL SPOILER:
When you beat the game, you can go on a little sidequest after getting a PET. That's right, you meet up with MegaMan! You basically have to defeat ShadeMan and when you do, you get the MegaBuster!
OVERALL SCORE: 9.5/10
