There's two good ways to do this, but if you have one of those long 16+ digit passwords, then it'll be tougher.
first off, try here and if your old computer lacks the ability to do that, then you'll need to use Windows Safe Mode to hack it.
There is a 3rd alternative, but you have to have a second account on your laptop that you can log into(admin or restricted user, it doesn't matter)
For safe mode, it's a long, hard hacking technique that requires a lot of time, or there's a way to enter safe mode to format windows, but lets you copy important files to a USB drive first. So if you want to go the safe mode route, you'll need to pick: Copy important files and format the drive then reinstall, or try to hack the file(good luck).
The easiest is obviously the first one. Try using it.
