Yeah, uh… I need to post some poetry. Feedback and criticism are more than welcome.

**Say My Name
Do you remember that last November
Back when innocence was new
Our eyes burned like embers
And happiness stood in discontentment’s lieu
If you recall that wondrous Fall
By some token of folly or fate
And if your heart still yearns out to call
My name…
Say it! Say my name, and I’ll say yours
Give out a cry, and I’ll come running
Just before the final casket closes its doors
Say my name, and I’ll be there

**Upon the Beach of Tidal Flat
Dreaming onward in an ocean of despair
As looking back the tide rolls in
Lying dully upon the shore
Nothing heard but gentle wind
And as the glistening waters roll
While our song plays in my head
The cawing seagulls watch me loll
Sometimes, it’s best not to be dead

**Reverence
Oh, say! Do you sight the gleaming night
Within the darkened light, around a land of blight?
Humanity says to me, “Come to me, come to me”
So I come with bated breath, waited for the rest
Waiting for the rest
Nightlife shining, darkened suns
A silver lining for the only one I love
In this living hearse of mortality and muddled things
Can I not dream of you my every moment
‘Ere I spread these wings?

**Humankind
Cross on, fall off, where the armor chinks thin
Humankind is rarely kind
Lost upon the winds, where the gale is roughest
Is a voice of reason and the fallen kin
Where does the time depart to if not to heaven’s gate
Humankind’s greatest foolery
Up from stars to slate, o’er and up
Drifts the kindness we’ve not sated
So where, to where is which way gone
Humankind’s ultimate truth
Now o’er yon from once hither
Wherever it is, the magic is lost

**Final Croons of a Loser
You said to me that I cannot
Thus I fight and struggle so
I won’t accept my given lot
Perhaps I shan’t, still I go
You said that I could never win
My victory was full impossibility
The strength I carry you cannot ken
Unless you know my carried weight
My victory looks unviable
To you, at least, it seems
But still it looks try-able
Be what may, I shall not weep

**Oceanic
Oceanic dream, below the brine and bream
Ideal light underneath the waves
Oceanic desire, a never-dying fire
Glowing deep below and crying to be saved
An oceanic pyre lit for those who’ve died
Buried beneath the crashing surf
An oceanic pact which remembers they who lacked
The strength to keep on going even in the final act
Oceanic truth, knowing all and saying none
Along the underside of a long, deep-curved keel
Oceanic times are changing, almost there, almost gone
We who’ve come so far, we still aren’t nearly done

**Neptunian Lament
From sea to sky, sky to slate
Humanity will compensate
But for its irresistible weight
Which bears upon the lake
Onto better things to take
Upon times of countless freight
Even Neptune cannot say
“All is enough, begone before late”

**Soul
The moments keep on coming
And I'll just go on loving
Going to and fro in frantic step
My heart is weak and wistful
But for grace I've got a fistful
On the morn, its promise kept

**Mind
Brilliance have I not
Street smarts I do lack
I've but a bit in the pocket
And I hardly have tact
Yet if the dream is there
And if the heart is true
The thoughts I'll always bear
Are the memories of you

**Body
The body I wear cannot bear
A strain as tough as it daily takes
If, somehow, you really care
If, somehow, you'll take my sake
If, somehow, my frame can last
And if the power from present-past
Arrives
Should the sun still rise at morn
Should I keep the promises sworn
Should my heart be not torn
By the riving power of your eyes
Then, maybe, my body will last still a while

**Nature
Fallen snow, droplets of rain
A rising sun, a rolling plain
Gone by pretenses of blood and blade
For as nature wakes, the storm abates
Life is but a moment in time
Frozen for some, as passes by
If some somehow somewhere makes
To my grave the memories taken

**Life
Either man or beast
Mineral or plant
Will live or it will leave
The land, can or can't
Life is but a sieve
Fractured manifold
This I do believe
That as the tale is told
Its gift someone will keep

**Hades
Crashing close to the heartless banks
Of the river that culls the Dead
Hades' hand beckons on and yanks
My spirit until I'm but one of his dead
I watch the river twist and twirl
As it bends and bursts upright
I see the sky's black curtain unfurl
My dreams dissolving into midnight

**Ending Twilight
A diseased twilight, not long to die
Morn arises, a distant dream
A change in truths, a falcon's cry
Now's the time! Dawn cracks a scream
Awakened, are we, from slumber sweet
Where few tread of willing foot
A night passed, a dead dream replete
Possessed by blood, blacker than soot
Distant sunrise, come to morn
I cannot wait but one moment longer
Dying twilight, to you I scorn
Bring me the day when I'll be stronger

**Walk Away
Life ain't always easy, hon
But there'll always be another day
So few things are absolute, love
So are you sure you'll walk away?

**Regarding Yesterday
I wake up, morning's come
Every chance is open
I fall asleep, the day is done
And so I'm left to hoping
Regarding yesterday
I wanted so much more
I'll give it to you straight
Even greater days are sore
When you don't believe
When you aren't complete
If God don't smile no more
Regarding yesterday
Just a living casket
Dead inside but walking still
If I could I'd ask it
God smile down, I will
Regarding yesterday
I thought it would be great
I'll tell you truly, though
The memories still ache
Of the morning, of the evening
Of the every moment living
Forsaken be it all
Regarding yesterday********************************
