Well, I need a program to record sound. Take audio from video, etc. I used to use Sound Forge before I reinstalled. Can't seem to find the exe backed up… and it looks like I'd have to pay for it now.
So, anyone want to recommend a program?

I don't know what to recommend for recording sound (like through a microphone) but for stripping audio from videos and editing audio and the like I use GoldWave. It's free with a catch. You can only do so many things at a time before it complains that you should buy it. Then you're forced to shut it down and re-open. I usually don't run into that wall though, and I've used it to strip audio from avi, mpg, mk4, and wmv as well as editing mp3s and wavs when necessary.
One thing, though. I'm a poor judge, but there might be a bit of a learning curve.

Audacity is a pretty good audio program, and it's free.
