A tangible punishment for a tangible crime, if said crime can be proven beyond reasonable doubt to have been committed by the alleged murderer. Yet unless you're claiming that a lack of faith and/or refusal to worship the god of Abraham is the equivalent of murder, I completely fail to see how this statement relates to anything I've said. If you are trying to claim that a lack of faith and/or refusal to worship the god of Abraham is the equivalent of murder…then I really don't know what to say to that.
Like I said, I was merely stating that if one kills another, then there will be consequences.
Unless you really enjoy the taste of your shoes, I strongly suggest that you check yo'self before you decide to say things like this. With statements like these, I'm seriously inclined to completely disregard everything you say as DesertSpada's make believe land.
Now you confuse me. Look at a world map that shows religions of the world. What do you see? This didn't just pop up from nowhere. Much of Europe was "Christian" based which went to North America. Many European nations also had colonies all over the world which tried to spread it. What exactly are you talking about?
For once, I agree with you. Of course, this should come as no surprise as I hold the belief that religion was wholly invented by man and can therefore be ultimately shaped only by man.
Of course you know I meant that the Bible may say one thing, but people decide it's ok to do the opposite. Since you believe its invented by man, then the equivalent would be the law system. It is supposed to be obeyed but lets say a person says "It's ok if I sell illegal drugs because the money will help make my life better." What is wrong is wrong.
The "No True Scotsman" fallacy, and variant interpretations thereof, once again proves its popularity when it comes to the absolute defence of religion and the religious.
Clever, but this is a little bit different. No gentleman would hit a lady. If you thought of someone as a gentleman, but then they assault a woman, well are they still a gentleman? "No True Scotsman" has its exceptions, and this is one of them. Any person who you see/hear about getting drunk, sleeping around with people, and other stuff like that, and then they say "I'm a Christian.", well, that is exactly the opposite of what a Christian is supposed to be. Some of todays Christians are just that. If a Christian is supposed to be a person that puts on a good example for people and someone who serves his fellow man, then the said people are clearly not Christians at all, for they do none of those things to help anybody. If something is clearly the opposite of what it appears to be, then it obviously isn't what it appears to be.
Which is why I think schools should be tougher, to ensure traumatic childhoods so the majority of people would be gibbering messes in a corner whilst I go and steal their broccoli.
I'm not too sure about that one. Schools need to be tougher, but to that extent might cause more problems than we already have.
