Looks good to me. I kinda wished that they would do a 4-volume-release, but whatever. Regardless of the bad first-impression everyone is now sure to get, I'll still buy it. Kinda annoyed that they didn't give a release-date, though.

Bandai put up a trailer for the show:

I found it a bit entertaining how they took several things out of context in there, like how Konata's first line is propably referring to LS itself, and how they took one of the lines from that oh-so-boring food-discussion, followed by just "…Huh?"

I actually liked that trailer; but the series being dubbed can either be very bad or very good, considering how it has a lot on Japanese context.

That trailer was shockingly decent. I finally finished Lucky Star and liked it quite a lot, if they manage to keep the original "feel" of the chatting this good, I reckon I'll have to watch the dub as well.

Not a LS fan here so I was mostly squeamish through the trailer. Good voices, not so good series.

Like the trailer, I consider myself one of the bigger LS fan out there but still I LOL@ those youtube ppl who got all offended and worked up by the mere idea of a dub. And you wonder why anime fans/otakus have a bad reputation among general public, gee.

On the other hand, how can somebody find the show offensive(boring? bad? not ur thing? all understandable, but offensive? C'mon, and he actually typed out a ranting wall of text on the interweb..) is also truly beyond me, even by APforum standards. Fail on multiple level if you ask me.

I'd still say that seems pretty stupid though. It's not like Kiyohiko Azuma INVENTED the concept of random high-school comedies. That's like calling Insert random Shonen action-anime here offensive for being an inferior DBZ-ripoff. (And I see quite a lot of series being accused for just that. Seriously, it's not like DBZ was the first action-anime in the world.)
