BUT THE SOUL STILL BURNS!1!1
Argh! looks hot. But I've become so accustomed to playing Soul Calibur II on my Xbox, with the S-controller. Why does it have to be PS2 exclusive?!
-
It will probably move to the other consoles eventually, but will launch ps2 exclusive. I had fun with the last one but I don't dig fighting games for the most part. SC2 was one of the ones I enjoyed so I'm looking forward to trying SC3. Gotta say, it looks awesome.
I agree that it sucks that it is ps2 exclusive though. I have an hdtv and the xbox just makes games look soooo much nicer than their ps2 counterparts. -
SWEET. I love the SOul Calibur franchise… but this looks like they'll top themselves again.
I'm not a fan of most oft he new characters though (except maybe Setsuka), but it looks like they're working hard to break another barrier. If I heard him right, I think they want to put in a character customization mode, which would seriously rock all.
-
The new characters look lame…
But it's SC!
-
A new Soul Caliber game?! SHOCK!
I can't wait for this…I hope Yoshimitsu is still in the game. He's my favorite character to use!
-
Screw the new characters. I want to see who is returning from the previous game. Ivy, specifically. I love me some Ivy.
The custom character creation looks to be really cool. I wonder how they'll work out the custom characters command list, hopefully they'll let the player choose the moves.

**Well, he's in Tekken 5 for you if he isn't in SC =)
-
I hope Voldo and Raphael aren't in it. I wasn't fond of either of them.
-
I hope they are. The more the better.

You can't have Soul Caliber without Voldo. He's been a character ever since Soul Caliber's predessor, Soul Blade, came out.
-
Is Raphael expendable  ?
-
I like Raphael, the Soul franchise needed a fencer character like that for a while >_>
Woot, another Yoshimitsu fan. he rocks. :D But, I'm not as good with him in Tekken as I am in Soul Calibur..
And if they do make this multiplatform, I just hope they don't throw in lame guest characters.
-
I liked Xiangua, Link (had the GameCube version), and Taki best.
-
I just watched the "Making of SCIII" trailer over at IGN.com.
From what I could see of the gameplay; it looks like Taki, Mitsurugi, Raphael, Cassandra, Ivy, and Astaroth are going to return. Ivy looks to be sporting her usual thong suit thingy, Cassandra and Mitsurugi seem to have the same costume as they did in SCII. Raphael was wearing what looked like a cape and as always, looking very royal.
I definitely want Kilik and Maxi to come back, they were awesome. But this time, they should make Maxi stronger, he was way too weak back in SCII. I'm not talking outrageously stronger, just stronger than before.
-
dude the new character…. girl with cirle blade of doom...... so awesome! but CHARACTER CREATIONG OMGGGGG
-
The only new character I like is Setsuka, because she kind of fits in… the other two look like fanmade characters to me.

Well, for SC II, they hired Todd McFarlene to design Necrid and Spawn for the Xbox, so maybe they are improving their designs for new characters. (Ba-zing.)

Yea they had some cheapass moves..
I wonder if there is an idea for online play, because I want to see what characters you guys would make. -

Well, for SC II, they hired Todd McFarlene to design NecridNecrid was awful and didn't fit the SC world at all. I mean, I like McFarlene and all but it felt like the guy didn't even put any effort on design it. Perhaps it's just me and my hate toward characters whom are collection of other characters' moves. The new characters looks okey, I hope they do some good old final polishing before releasing the game though. And the new character machine's a bit turn off. Beats me, I just don't like them.
-
Todd McFarlane sucks and I hope it was some practical joke when they asked him to make a character for them. Necrid looked like a giant, spiky green turd , and it was just so… uncreative. They should've brought back Edgemaster, he rocked.
-
God, I hated Necrid. He was so cheap and way too button masher friendly. It would be nice if they made Inferno playable again. I guess Zasalamel could be interesting to play as, since he has a scythe and everything. I just wish his costume design didn't look so silly.
-
Talim better come back!! I really don like Tira…a gian hoola hoop...real scary...
-
I wonder why all women in fighting games wear such "interesting" outfits >_>. Doesn't sound like a good idea to fight while dressed as a dominatrix.

Because you have to remember, the stereotype for video game companies's key demographic is that they are lonely, young males filled with hormones with almost no social skills at all who also try to play the games with one hand while watching the women with little clothing.
Sometimes it's true (in the case of the Gamefaqs board about "Vampire:The Masquerade:Bloodlines) and sometimes it's widely untrue.
-
You have a good point there XD.
-
Yoshi fan here too :D
I love to say his lines as he says them, everytime. :D
Yeah, it sucks that it's not on Xbox. I miss Spawn already. I don't really like the character, but he was the best exclusive fighter of all three versions, I think.
And why is it PS2 exclusive when the GC and Xbox versions sold the most?

**You too? Cool. But did you do his poses also? Espically the "If you're happy and you know it, clap your feet" pose practiced by Beck? Because I did.
And perhaps they made it a PS2 launch exclusive because Sony gave them alot of money to do it like that.

dude create a character will be AWESOME and hoola hoop of death looks sweeeeet
