Ok, so here's a fanfic based on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's more of a parallel universe to Jojo, set in another world, the only thing it has in common to the Jojo Universe is Stands, and the name Joestar. Oh, and the Jojo reference in the main character's name.
And I also realise that the opening chapter isn't that good. Bear with me, they get better.
Chapter 1: Joey’s evil spirit
United Kingdom, 1990
“Come on, Joestar! Let’s see what you’ve got!”
The voices echoed in Joey’s ears. Third time this week this had happened. The same bunch of kids had started on him first for looking, as they put it, “like a freakin’ woman”. By now, Joey was getting pissed off, not at the remarks, but at the fact that he couldn’t fight back. Grandma Elena had already forbidden him from fighting at school; having had him moved school several times. Crossing the Atlantic had been the last move. The UK was different to New York…then again, it was the same kind of violence.
The guy in front kicked him in the stomach. Joey doubled over in pain.
“Shit...you guys just get lost!” he yelled. People were beginning to gather round. The most challenging position for a person: when you’re surrounded by opponents.
“Oh, I don’t think so.” The guy said. Joey knew who he was: Bob Velana. To the school, he was a figure of fear. Not the scariest, but one of them. To Joey, who’d seen much worse, he was just another punk. Bob kneeled down and smashed Joey’s head onto his knee. Blood erupted from Joey’s nose as he collapsed to the ground. He gripped the grass on the field tight between his fingers, trying not to lose his temper. As he did, he noticed a flash just to the side of his hand. He looked and briefly caught a glimpse of another hand. Not quite opaque, not quite transparent. He couldn’t have been seeing double: this hand was completely different to his.
He was broken out of this trance by Velana stamping on his head. The other kids in his crew laughed. Joey gritted his teeth. I must not fight. I must not fight...
“See, you little woman, we rule things around here. And we say a newbie like you should get his hair cut and stay in line! I mean, it’s not like you can stand up to us, if you’re not even TRYING to fight back.”
“If it was my choice, you guys’d be dead by now...” Joey snarled.
“Haha. And why aren’t we? Some bitch of a mother holding you down?” Velana laughed and a roar came up from his gang. A chuckle followed from the crowd. This was it.
Joey jerked upwards, flinging Velana off his feet. Joey’s fist flew forward and smashed Velana in his face.
“KORAAAA!” Joey yelled. Velana flew backwards, into the arms of two of his gang.
“Little bastard! Kill him!” Velana yelled. The gang rushed forward, attacking Joey all at once. Joey, however, was ready for them. As they attacked, he began to punch wildly with both fists.
“KORAKORAKORAKORAKORAKORA!!!” Joey yelled, his signature battle cry. The students in mob were pummelled and fell backwards, surprised at his sudden outburst. As Joey stood, he looked nothing like he did before. His long black hair seemed to stand on end and his eyes glowed with an evil glare. Joey looked down.
“Just as I thought...the fists are next to both my hands this time.” He thought. And sure enough, two translucent fists were next to his hands, like they were growing out of his body. This time, however, they were shimmering with energy. Joey furrowed his brow, trying to figure out exactly what the hands were. He had never denied the existence of magic, but he had never acknowledged it. These fists that had appeared had leaned him strongly towards the latter. He looked up, ready to continue the fight. However, something he didn’t expect were the attackers flying towards him at an incredible speed. He dived to the ground as they began to mass above him, more and more people flying in and somehow getting trapped above him. As he looked around, he realised he was in some sort of spinning dome. Outside was blurred, as if the dome was covered in a cloaking device like he’d seen on Predator. The ones who had been sucked inside were rotating above his head, completely unable to do anything. It was as if they were in some kind of vacuum...
“What the hell did you do, Joestar?” Velana yelled. The rest of the crowd was equally perplexed by the way Joey seemed to be beating them up with four arms worth of power. Joey looked up at him, saw he was completely helpless, and smiled.
“Who’s not trying to fight back now?” Joey’s smile widened, a hint of sadism creeping into his voice. He held his fist back, the spiritual fist following it, and threw a punch upwards.
“KORAAAAAAAAA!”
The full force of the punch caused a reaction and pretty soon, the entire dome imploded. The people inside were thrown everywhere, Velana upwards. As he fell down in front of Joey, Joey thrust his hand outwards. The ghostly fist followed, and Velana was somehow sucked backwards, towards his rebellious victim. Joey grabbed his collar.
“Now then, “Bob”. Let me get a few things straight.” He stared his would-be attacker in the face.
“Number one. You are not tough.
“Number two. You are not cool.
“Number three. You will never, EVER be a match for me.
“Got that?”
Velana spat out blood. His face was a wreck.
“You...you ain’t all that.”
Joey laughed masochistically.
“Seems you need some more education.” He said, before raising his fist...
“STOP RIGHT THERE!”
A voice came from behind them. Joey turned round to find that the crowd had scattered. The only person there was Mr Casu, a schoolteacher.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” he grabbed Joey’s arm. He didn’t seem to be able to see the spiritual arms. Neither did anyone else, for that matter. Velana took the opportunity to sneak off, whispering
“I’ll get you for this, Joestar.”
As Joey was hauled off, a girl peeked from within the crowd.
“Joey...why did he have four arms?”
