This is a bit of a long story.
The current arc is a Dream Tag Tournament taking place in the past, and Brocken Jr.'s arm was severed by the arc's main villains (Thunder and Lightning, aka the Time Choujins). Thus, history was changed and he had a fake arm with a hook hand ever since. Jade was thus unable to learn the Red Rain of Berlin, and he was having a bit of a mental crisis... but the history is starting to "piece itself together" again and Jade is remembering some techniques that Brocken taught him instead of the Red Rain of Berlin (like this leg blade attack).
As for Seiuchin (Wally)... it's a long story. Basically Neptuneman snuck onboard the main cast's time machine, and when the tournament in the past was announced and everyone was training and pairing up, he showed up and shocked everyone with his choice for a tag partner; Seiuchin. He mentioned how Seiuchin had a lot of unrealized potential, and Mantaro kind of made fun of the whole thing. Seiuchin got mad and left (apparently not wanting to be known as the guy who does everyone's laundry) with Neptuneman.
Neptuneman trained Seiuchin and brings out his brutal, animalistic nature (apparently inspired by Lewis Carrol's "The Walrus and the Carpenter"), and Seiuchin became an incredibly beastly and bloodthirsty Perfect Choujin. Checkmate trailed them both and tried to attack Neptuneman after seeing what happened to Seiuchin; he becomes the first victim of their new tag finisher, the Optical Fiber Cross Bomber, which was powerful enough to knock off Checkmate's face.
Now apparently Neptuneman's into collecting choujin faces instead of their masks. And Seiuchin is incredibly brutal (grabbing and eating various animals he sees raw, drinking the blood from new faces ripped off, etc.) Their team is called Hell Expansions.
The current match is the Hell Expansions vs. the Super Trinites (Scarface and Jade).

Actually, I got it for an insanely good price. I'm still amazed I did, considering romandos tend to go for $35 and more (I've seen some for 80).

I really would love to see this scanlated. Capn, maybe you should start a topic seeing if anyone is willing to do kinnikuman with your scans.
But holy shit, how did seiushin go from taking attacks for people tho drinking the blood of ripped off faces?
I've always wanted to try to do scans for Kinnikuman (I have the entirety of the old series raw, and 5 volumes of the Nisei tag arc) but I doubt I'll run into people who know the language, people who're good with editting images, etc. who will give a damn about the series.
That and I doubt it'll be easy to find more scans of the Tag arc when more volumes come out. I was pretty lucky to find the ones I do have.
What you should do is get one of the million one piece,naruto and bleach scanlator groups with you on the project. XP
If you do want to try, Id suggest the mangahelpers forum. Maybe a group will do it if you got the scans.(doubt it, but Im an optimist.)

Damnit, I was really happy when Viz was going to release the new series in america….but yeah...I have a few chapters of kinnukuman scanlated from toriyama world. It filled my springman fix....but Damnit now i'm going to have to look for the tankos next time I go into the city.

Well, the main villains for this arc are kind of in the air. The Time Choujins initiated everything that went wrong, but Neptuneman and Seiuchin are up to no good as well. Whoever wins this match goes up against the Time Choujins, so we'll see.

Nah, Gazelleman still sucks. He's just sitting around in the present with the other extras.
Kinnikuman Nisei is published in Playboy. There's a children's version running in V-Jump that's vastly different.
And yeah, Scarface became sort of an anti-hero. He came back as a protagonist during Demon Seed, and apparently he became good friends with Kevin Mask. I'm not sure if he's a Seigi Choujin officially or not, but at the beginning of the tag arc he receives some kind of award at a ceremony so maybe. He went with the others to the past in order to save Kevin.
During this match, while beating on Seiuchin and Neptuneman with his Madness Mask, he revealed his ulterior motive to take the completion bulbs (long story short: they're what the Time Choujin are truly after, special bulbs with the power to make a Choujin superpowerful, as well as heal injuries and disease), eat them, and then create a new dMp. But it looks like that may change; apparently Jade gave Scarface a talking to in the latest chapter and he may've been snapped back to his senses.

What baffles me about the viz nudity edits is, They're inconsistent. Like When they graduate they edit undies onto Gorgeous man, but then each panel after refering to it you can clearly tell he was naked…0_o Then in chp 46? They leave Kid's bare ass ripping through his pants unedited....ok......
I mean sure editting out nudity and toning down blood would be all very well and good.....had this not been a title in their line aimed at a "older crowd."

What I dont appreciate is the Dub names. I mean the lower rated jump versions use the original japanese names(Shaman king for one) while I see the nisei manga(which is rated for 17 and up.) using Butt Buster.
I mean how are you going to use the 12 year old names and rate it Older Teens.(17+) Who is your target audience XD.

I didnt mind some names as much as others.(Terry kenyon I was alright with, but ninja ned? whats wrong with "The ninja"?)
and alot of attack names were changed I believe.

! Belinda (Suguru's wife) = Bibimba
! Kid Muscle (Mantaro Muscle) = Kinniku Mantaro (This is a kind of a goofy pun; basically, the superhero Ultraman had a sidekick named "Ultra Mantaro." So since the family name is Kinniku, Suguru named his son "Mantaro" to kind of make a pun like that, like Kinnikuman Taro)
! Vance McMadd = Harabote Muscle
! Muscle League = Intergalactic Choujin Committee
! Dik Dik Van Dik = Gazelleman (What was wrong with "Gazelleman" I'll never know)
! Jaeger = Jade
! Eskara = Scarface (also known as "Mars")

! Comrade Turbinski = Ilioukhine (It's a pun between a Russian sambo champion and a Russian aircraft manufacturer)

"Butt Buster" is a stupid name. I still cringe when I read it.
I prefer Dik Dik van Dik. Maybe it's because it's a ridiculous name for someone who's been a comic relief character up to the point I'm on (Volume 5)

I'm trying to think of another move names they changed. "Red Rain of Berlin" is sometimes changed to "Red Rain of Pain," but I think they're starting to go with the proper name now.
They have Muscle Driver, but that's just translated from Kinniku so it doesn't really count.
And "The Fire" sounds nowhere near as good as "Burning Inner/Idiot Strength".
Oh wait, was High Horse Driver a change or a translation? I saw Checkmate's finisher on Kinnikuman Generations on YouTube and it sounds like he says "Otoshi" at the end, meaning drop or fall.

Yeah, if an important character's dub name wasn't mentioned I didn't list it. In the dub, if a character's name ends with "man," odds are the dub left it unchanged. Hanzo and Ramenman are the same.
Oh yeah, there's a few old Kinnikuman characters who had lame dub names.
Sosumi = Wolfman/Rikishiman (The name 'Wolfman" comes from a very famous sumo champion who was nicknamed "The Wolf," but it was changed for the anime to Rikishiman to avoid potential legal
trouble)
Beetlebomb = Geronimo (He was an apache indian choujin in the original. In the dub, they changed him into being British… yeah. Another example of 4Kids' fun racism)
I can't think of any other characters except old generation characters who were only "dubbed" in the video games... so yeah.

and I loved how geronimo was british, yet his attack was still "Apache yell" in the PS2 game. Idk about you, but Ive never heard of the Apache in England.

What can't be said about this series that isn't good. I know that 4kids did the dubbing but it was awesome. And it was before they ever got one piece. I hate to say how I never got to see the last match of the series. Kevin Mask vs Kid Muscle I'll never know what happend in that match.:sad:
