I apologize if this post is in the wrong forum (should it be in the media forums, maybe?) but I searched around some and most “looking for” threads ended up here.
Anyway.
I’ve searched for it before, by googling and asking on forums, Facebook etc. but it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack… you guys seem to know a lot, though, so maybe I’ll get lucky?
The animation;
The animation is drawn with black lineart on a white background and it looks as though it could’ve been done in MS Paint if I remember correctly (pixel art).
There was a signature at the bottom of the animation in a language I couldn’t decipher back then and that I can’t remember now. It was not the Latin alphabet, most likely Asian (Chinese or Japanese… if there was one at all… I THINK so, at least).
The story (I could’ve gotten a few things wrong, it’s been maybe 10-14 years since I saw it but I’ll try to tell it as accurately as possible);
There’s a guy that, at the time at least, reminded me of the character Sasuke from Naruto. Black hair. Similar features, maybe? I don’t remember the face clearly these days but I remember I did the comparison back then. It can’t have been THAT similar because I know that he was grinning through maybe 90% of the video.
At the beginning of the animation he sees a toddler in a stroller with a lollypop.
And he steals the lollypop.
A cop across the street with a bike sees the crime and goes after him.
The thief steals a skateboard to run away from the cop.
The cop catches up.
The thief kicks the cop off the bike and steals it.
The cop calls for backup.
The thief is now chased by a police car.
The thief steals the police car.
There are more police cars chasing him.
There’s a super chase.
Eventually a police/military helicopter with a missile gets involved.
They shoot the missile at him.
He ends up on top of the missile.
The missile ends up going around in the direction of the helicopter who gets destroyed.
And then that’s the end.
I probably overestimate how long this animation is, as I remember it I would’ve guessed 1-2 minutes although it’s more likely to be shorter.
Any thoughts?
