@Nekketsu:
While I agree there's no need to be rude, he has a goddamn point. Just HOW MANY times we've been through this? First it was Blue and Heracles, and we already know how that ended. Then some naive individuals screamed bloody murder at Bambina getting hit with a combined attack of the kings and spit some blood (because living beings, King or not, can't be hurt a little, right?), and now this. Even Toriko's supposed powerup took a long way that is eventually going to get a proper explanation once we get to Area 2.
Absolutely not. It was shown to surprise the readers on how much they changed physically, and we already had gotten info about a cave where you age 200.000 times faster. And the capture of ANOTHER is a so obvious eventuality I don't need to tell anymore.
By the time this happens, if it happens at all, we'll be at the climax of the story.
And this goes for everyone. Don't bring up the discussion about storytelling, please. I don't care what you say, liking the method the author prefers to handle the plot or not is up to each one's opinion. So is not good or bad, and it's certainly pretty unique for a japanese shonen, the way the story of this arc is being handled.
I personally can say I'm now at the edge of my seat more than ever. I'm intrigued to learn out how everything turned out in the end and how things came to be the way they are now.
I somehow don't remember the discussion about Toriko ending soon at the Heracles and and Bambina part, or the other stuff. I do remember being a bit disappointed with certain aspects.
I'm a bit confused on the story telling aspect that you don't want to discuss. I'll grant going on a big discussion about if the series is ending or not seems pointless, but discussing about how it's being told and done seems like a legitimate discussion. If I feel like going all over the place instead of focusing on one place is detrimental, and explain why, shouldn't that be an okay topic to discuss? Unless I'm totally missing what you mean, which given my track record that's a good possibility.
For the Bambina spitting blood, this forum is weird when it comes to powerful characters spitting up blood against "weaker" opponents. It was a silly argument before, it's a silly one now.
I'll concede the point of the last page, if we don't get an in depth flash back and that there isn't a focus on who may make it or not. If it goes that route, there's no tension since we know everybody is fine right now. If it is simple like showing the back world, explaining the cooking method, and the Don Slime stuff, that would be fine. I jumped the gun there a little bit and I apologize.
As far as Ichiryuu is concerned, even if it is the climax I'm not going to like it, only because of the way his death had such an impact that him coming back would leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Glad you are liking the series, and I'll try to not be negative and try to keep things discussion oriented. Just know that both positive and negative opinions are allowed to be discussed, and hope that a healthy balance stays, less it becomes like some threads.
