Neatherlands were awful defending, but that doesn't really matters when they've Van der Vaart level players. I wonder who in their right mind wouldn't put him playing in every match... Two really good shots, no chance for the keeper. But the defense was really bad. Not only due to base skill, but also because the attacking players weren't helping. Ronaldo had time to do whatever he wanted in the 2 goals, and the result would be even worse if we had a decent striker...
Still, CR7 is back, remembering us of the CR17 he used to be.
Beautiful assist by João Pereira for the first goal. Which is awesome since the commenters said over and over again that he was less active on the attack, and had mediocre exhibitions. -
