After having watched both of these matches today, I must say I hope Portugal wins against Netherlands. Saying that makes my heart bleed, but the Lusitanians deserve to advance with the kind of game they're playing.
Van Maarwijk is a horrible coach and the players don't try nowhere near as hard as they should. This looks nothing like the team that won silver two years ago.

With the game that they played against Ukraine, I don't think Sweden has any chances at all. Podolski plays well when Klose plays. Fact. Germany's shape would be a lot better if one of Kroos, Gotze or Reus were playing in place of Podolski.
And count out the Italians at your own peril. They played extremely well against Spain. Anyone can look impressive against this Irish team, they sat back and utterly failed to expose the weaknesses in a pretty weak Croatian defence.
Also, seriously does no one still think England can get out of their group? The draw against France gave their chances an immense boost. With Sweden being completely crap at the moment and Rooney being back for the Ukraine game, I am wagering them qualifying at the top of their group.

what's wrong with him???True that but podolski gives a good balance to the team. Lahm bombs forward whenever he gets the chance so podolski usually stays back to cover for him. However, he does run at the defense during counter attacks but I dunno I guess he was asked to chill out this game or something
And hell the dutch were with two def mid and were playing a high defensive line yesterday. They were actually going full fledged this game! Sadly the combo did not work out well

The Dutch team has been a total joke in the past half year. All bark and no bite, supporters are coming back at the airport with their tails between their legs and the media is still boasting about a "12% chance to get to the quarter finals", as if we even have a chance to win against Portugal, never mind winning with a two goal difference.
Van Marwijk isn't going to go away until 2016, so I'm not very optimistic for our national team's future performance…I'm cheering for Germany for the rest of the tournament instead. I really like the way they have been playing so far and have high hopes for them in this tournament.
