I hadn't read any chapters for a few weeks since the end of Negi's battle with Nagi. I just caught up again and damn, I really love this manga. Negi as Nagi is hillarious. The kid is such a pimp and he doesn't even know it. You'd think he'd be a little more careful with the whole World Tree thing, but I guess he just has no idea that all of these girls think he is the hottest shit around.
Ako is definatly a great character, I'd love to see her stick around, maybe even get a Pactio and whip out some cool guitar weapon ala FLCL.
Oh, I also really enjoyed chibi-Chisame's commentary on the cosplay at the Best Couple Contest. That just cracked me up for some reason.
One thing I'm wondering about this arc though, is what the effect of all the time travel will have on Negi. The time machine is supposed to be powered by Negi's magic. Chao seemed to have known how packed his schedule was and I kind of think that she is planning on Negi using it so often that by the third day Negi's magical power will be spent and unable to fight.

It's nice to see such "heartful" Negima fans here. I love this series too, it's a fun rwad everytime, and the fights are godly (especially Mana vs Ku Fei, that one rocked).

Negima is a fantastic manga and far out shines the rest of Akamatsu-sensei's works. At first I didn't think the idea of 30 girl students + even more characters would work so well, but I'm glad I was wrong. All of the characters are awesome and I'm enthralled in the entire storyline.
So far, I've got up to Vol. 8 on the Del. Ray english version, and own 1 through 12 of the Chinese version. Some of the latest stuff has definitely surprised me, but regardless I'm most thrilled with Mai's appearance. I hoped that a character from one of Akamatsu's earlier works would appear, most likely Motoko given her school's relation to Setsuna, but Mai's appearance in a way works better. Truely awesome.
The anime… ack, hated it. Some of the voice actors were nice and made some enjoyable songs (all versions of Happy Material, Kizuna, and Maze in the Dark), but, I'm sure along with the rest of you, the animation itself was awful. It surprisingly picked up in Ep. 26, but even then the storyline was horrible. Bah.
But regardless, the manga! Truely awesome. ^_^

That was Haitani from Love Hina in the epilouge when Keitaro was going to get hitched with Naru.
Man, if only Keitaro could reapear in Negima like Mei did as a archeology teacher or something. Would that make the series even better a bit?

Yeah, I noticed the Setsuna flashback, but I was hoping for something perhaps more, like a full-blown storyline actually mentioning it was Motoko itself.
If we're just going on panel cameo's, though, I noticed some more. I can't remember what volume it is, but remember the scene when all the kids are coming off the train, and we see a heck of a lot of students pour out from it in a double page splash? In it you can see the younger versions of Naru, Kitsune, Shinobu, and, if memory serves me, Motoko. These cameos are nice, but I just wanted something that was actually having them as main characters.
Another funny cameo is when Negi and the Baka Rangers just returned from the test and the results are announced. In one panel you see the school girl Kitsune throw away all her bets after she lost! XD
Mai or Mei was Naru's sister(half-sister? step-sister?) that was featured quite heavily in the Love Hina anime, and is also seen in the last two page spread in LH.

Regarding her item, do you know of a scan of all of the Practio cards? I remember seeing one once, but I can't find it...not all the cards are done by Akamatsu, with some from the Anime, but I think Haruna might have one.

Its the four remaining spoiler pics I posted in the previous page. From what Haruna saying something she means from her heart with a look nobody in the fandom has ever seen in her face from Yue crying, I get the feeling Haruna has fallen for Negi also. Many in AQS also speculate this theory.
BTW, what's your impression on Haruna's dominatrix outfit while interogating the girls?

What? Ok, Ok. Maybe she is a gossip girl and never keeps a secret, but she's cute, very hillarious, and has a good personality.
Dont get me wrong though. Ako has also always been one of my favorite charcters also. I like her even more now after Ch 122-125.
For Setsuna, I adore her. I really think its very noble how she's all devoted into protecting her beloved Konoka ojou-sama. Plus, after all the events in the Kyoto arc, she started climbing up the character popularity polls.
What do you think Volume 14's cover will look like?

Nay, nay; they just look really simmilar. Even though Haruna has that annoyingly bad habit of being a gossip, it's kinda hard to hate her (especially in appearance) because she looks like Konoka, who is allegedly one of the most "traditionally beautiful" of the characters.
In my own preference, I dislike two characters among Negi's class; Konoka is the first because she's kinda dumb yet extremely privelaged with natural talents. This diminishes Negi; he lived a poignant life, yet though talented, he's worked extremely hard. Seeing Konoka as just naturally more powerful diminishes Negi's character.
However, although I dislike Konoka, I hate Mana. There's nothing about her that interests me at all; she's just a "piss off Terek" character in my book.

The only characters I hate are Haruna and Ayaka. They're both loud and annoying…
Haruna gossips and can't keep a secret... I mean, is there anything worse than not being able to trust somebody? And everything she does is just annoying... butting into other people's business, being so bossy...
And, like her, Ayaka is bossy, and kind of snobbish. Plus she's just annoying on several levels.
Besides her, Chizuru is kind of annoying... she's just not interesting in any way, except that she has big breats. Ooo, aah. Admire the cleavage, ignore the character, right?
...Hmm..... this suddenly became a "Why I hate this character" bit... dang.

Haha, this is kinda cool! I daresay I would be disappointed if readers of Negima didn't hate characters; I mean, there should be at least one or two characters that we adore and the same number we hate. Such is how the five personality mix churns, I guess!
I also did not like Haruna, for gossip, while fun, can harm people very badly; I'm willing to disregard her faults, though, if she shows some character development in this chapter.
Bleh, Ayaka the aristocrat. I wouldn't pay her much mind, but her overt shotacon complex with Negi never ceases to amuse me. Fox-Girl Negi was funny enough, but Ayaka's nosebleed nearly gave me acute respiratory failure. XD

Oh, that wasn't the final passing note. Negima! was shown off by FUNimation and here's the sitch; Greg Ayres did a pretty dang good job as Negi, with an English accent (somewhat authentic) to boot! We've also got a Latin expert lecturing the VA's on how to best read, interpret, and pronounce the spell names; awesome!
