And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why his approach options suck. Because if he does get in, he can do shit like that.

@OrangeNinjasSucks:
Oh god, I got my ass handed to by Schmeckie. lol
Before I though taskmaster sucked well Schmeckie said otherwise (by an asswhopping). Sorry I had to leave early but i think 10 wins will be sufficient for ya today. ;)
I gotta practice some more with Felicia and some others. Any character reccomendations Schmeckie?
Taskmaster, for one. The mission mode teaches you his swing combo pretty well, it does huge damage, and memorizing it guarantees you shave off 2/3 of any opponent's lifebar the second you get in close. Plus his ability to continue putting on the pressure is insane, AND he has tools for just about any situation (zoning, rushdown, counters, breaking guard, etc.).
Wesker packs a whallop, but requires sufficient skill and practice to use effectively. Once you have both, he becomes like Taskmaster; tools for any situation, and shaves off massive amounts of health once he gets in close.
Once you learn the rock-paper-scissors properties of his super armor attacks, and get good at predicting people, Sentinel's a great choice if you're planning to actually learn some combos with him and not spam like an idiot. The real secret to his success is predicting what the opponent will do, and punishing them hard.
Hulk's a simple character to learn, but takes smarts to wield effectively. He's mostly defensive and reactionary; his rushdown tactics aren't safe at all, but he packs some nice, strong super armor, and very simple, but very damaging combos. He's basically the beginner's version of Sentinel. Less reward, but much less risk as well. Guess wrong with Sentinel, and you're going to eat a nasty, nasty combo (since Sent's a huge target with lots of cooldown after his attacks). Hulk much less so. if you screw up with Hulk, you have options to save yourself. Not so with Sent. I'd recommend Hulk first, and if you get good with him, upgrade to Sentinel.
Speaking of an upgrade, once you master Deadpool, Doctor Doom might be a good next step. Like Deadpool, he can play both zoner and rushdown, and is very strong in each area, but it's much harder for him to switch from one to another, and his combos are unforgivingly tough to pull off. If you do, though? Let's just say he has an extrememly simple-to-pull-off 90-100% damage (depending on who you're fighting) corner combo. His Plasma Beam is incredibly strong, though, and his Photon Shot gives him great cover and stops enemy approach attempts.
And, of course, Dormammu. He requires a lot of patience and skill, but once you learn him, hoo boy. He can completely control the field if you learn to anticipate and punish any and all enemy movements. He has one of the best beam supers in the game, his Carpet Flame stifles aggressive approach and cannot be bypassed supers with projectile invulnerability, with three Destructor points stored, his Liberation releases a full-screen attack with instantaneous startup, list goes on. And if they do move in close, as long as you wait to use it at the right time, his only melee combo does tremendous damage, and puts the opponent back at a full screen's distance.
