Oh wow…all of those cosplay pictures were awesome. I have not cosplayed yet. In fact this years AnimeIowa was my first Anime Convention. Did anyone of these forums go to that one? I saw a sanji and that was it for OP. No wait...there was some character I didn't recognize in the Cosplay contest.
Anyhow, I can't decide on who I want to cosplay as so suggestions are welcome. I was thinking of doing a vivi or Nami cosplay, but those seem to be done a lot. So I want to do something different. Maybe Bellemere, The Doctorine or Konis. Maybe even Makino. Or! I could do Usopp's mom...can't think of her name. Eh someone help me decide.

yea… we were talking about that (paris and i)... i think those faces are goggles, but paris, since he's a cosplay newbie (it's his 3rd costume) didn't found any round goggles, so he had to make the faces out of fabric...
it's spring here so probably we can find round goggles for our summer team...
^ you could always use the handy styrofoam. but for mine, im probably gonna use clay

I bought them last year, I was SO EXCITED to find those. XD I got the last pair on the whole website and apparently… the world, because I've never been able to find a second pair. SO lucky. x_x.

Clima tact wont be too hard… you could use thick plastic tent pole like things that click into each other and just paint?

^^ thanks a lot!… well the goggles were a 3-week (tedious) work modifing pvc-pieces and fighting with the glue (cos the glue hates me... i can feel it XDDDDD)
the bag was another thing... i went to a thrift store and looked for 40's or 50's bags... i found 2, which i transformed into one... it was almost as tedious as the goggles, but it was made on 1 day...
i have to fix it cos after all the movement in animeexpo chile the poor thing almost ended destroyed...
i have a "small" tutorial about the materials for the goggles...

^ especially the poles that have a stretchy cord that runs through the inside of the pole. So your 3 poles would stick together and you could easily get it to do a triangle shape. You find those from little kids tents.

What I might have in mind though, is using one of those pimp canes that are in all the halloween stores there days. A majority of them are divided in two or three seperate parts. So that'd be a good option too.
Some of them look kind of cheap though, and I think they are too short :

Holy crap - that climatact KICKS ASS. I used PVC as well, but my problem is, I could not get three pieces that would fit on my thigh, and then come together to make something as tall as me. I ended up having them seperate. The way that one is done is really interesting…I HAVE to figure out to do this.

When I start on my Nami outfit, I think I am going to buy these shoes –>
They don't look like her shoes, but they start as a base. The middle strap will be widened and then I will extend it up to my leg.
The shoes are from payless btw, I think they make a decent base for the shoe.
