Oh. I looked on some website a few days ago..it had the episodes listed as startin on March 6th..but now its changed…:ninja:
-
Also - it's up in the air what Amy Pond is.
When she's dressed as a Police Woman she was attending a Hen night. Maybe her own. Maybe not.
Kissograms are very obscure, and I doubt (though i'm sure they probably do) they even exist any more. Also we've got a confirmed list of Episode titles. If you would like them , I can post on request.
A New photo, (the one in my avatar) has been released of Series 5. [LINK](http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/medialibrary/images/misc/11th_doctor/1024/vortex.jpg?size=1024&promo=/doctorwho/medialibrary/images/misc/11th_doctor/main-promo/vortex.jpg&purpose=Computer wallpaper&summary=&info=&tag_file_id=11th_doctor_wal_08)
The face in the bottom left is a villain called The Smiler. It seems the background could be the votex from the new Opening titles.

Episode 3 = Victory of the Daleks
Episode 4 = The Time of Angels (Pt 1)
Episode 5 = Flesh & Stone (Pt 2)
Episode 6 = Vampires of Venice

Episode 8 = The Ground Beneath Their Feet (Pt 1)

Episode 13 =1st 3 are definate, set in stone public confirmation. The rest are strong, strong rumours from inside sources, so probably on the money.
For example, we were told "The Eleventh Hour" by these sources long before the BBC confirmed it officially in a press release. -
Also im not sure about the kissogram thing. In the clips from The Eleventh Hour from the EOT trailer you can clearly see a police station. (Its the part were he busts open the double doors)

That's a Hospital. The Doctor ends up going there, and conincidentally, Amy's boyfriend Rory works there as a Porter.

Black and white checked pattern?
New trailer up for the series but I warn you - it's shit.
EpbmMhNe6aANo new footage - its just like a lame live action version of that lame picture released the other day.
Also, the Season 4 theme plays at the end. I know that they got Murray Gold back to do the music but they better change the theme tune!
Compared to the Ninth Doctor teasers and the Tenth Doctor Season 3 trailer - this sucks ass more than anything
Also - no bloody release date! Only Easter 2010 which we had already worked out!
-
I enjoyed the Trailer, it was different, but good different.
And probably was designed for it's premiere in 3D cinemas anyway.Oh and the release date while not confirmed, everything adds up to it being April 3rd.

Ok so I'm a little late to the party apparently but I just finished my first exposure to the series which was the 9th doctor's season. I bought the season about a year ago but for some reason never got a chance to finish it. Really really enjoyed it. I haven't found a sci-fi series that I have enjoyed that much in a long time.
From what I've read, Jack Harkness(is that right?) is the main character of Torchwood? How is the spinoff? I rather enjoyed his character and might wanna check it out. I'm also really looking forward to the tenth doctor from what I've heard hes rather good.

Well firstly, congrats, you'll really love it. Are you gonna watch the 5th series with Matt Smith? It airs on April 3rd.
Secondly, Well Torchwood. Yeah Deffo. Watch the 1st 2 series. if you're still in doubt. Watch the 3rd series, it's made of 5 episodes, rscreened over a working week. Series 3 was FANTASTIC ! Everyone loved it ! Amazing drama.
But I' afraid we don't really know what's happening with TW @ the minute. The Creator RTD has moved to the states,
and they've commissioned a US version of the show. And we're not sure wether that's a coninuation, or a seperate series. But I wouldn't worry, Torchwood'll definately be back. With it's success, it has to be. A lot of things have pointed to Torchwood returning, with Captain Jack atleast.

I just got finished watching Torchwood as a series last week. 1st 2 series were great, except maybe a couple of episodes i didn't like but really good. Series 3- Children of Earth was just exceptional stuff.
The 10th Doctor played by David Tenant is just fantastic.
First episode of season 5 is on April 3rd if I'm not mistaken. Just over a month to go then.

ROFL. The VA who voices Shiryuu is the same VA who voices the Doctor in the Japanese dub of Doctor Who (doesn't say which Doctor. I'm presuming 9th.)

- James Corden and Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood from EastEnders) are in episodes.
James will be in episode 11, The Lodger. Nina will be playing an evil psychiatrist. Believed to appear in episode 1, but unsure.

Methinks this episode will be the Love & Monsters of the new series perhaps.

The Doctor dons hs Tweed over a football kit and has a kick about with Corden & the lads, in ep 11, he's The Lodger, stranded.
-
dear god. Gavin and Stacey was unfunnily bad. Don't want him shitting up Doctor Who.
-
Excited about the BUS Tour, but the press release was truly awful.
So we'll have to wait for more details. But apparently it's only for local schools,
but then again, the schools in my area, and in Inverness are off those dates.Hmm … Just hafta wait for more details.
But I hope I get a chance to meet or atleast see Matt & Karen ! -
It's 3 Dimensional ! 3 DIMENSIONAL !!

I hate that kind of gimmick

I don't usually buy Who Magazines, this one just seemed pretty great because it had loads
on The New Doctor, Amy, and pics from The Eleventh Hour. And The 3D Cover is beautiful.Yes, it's been confirmed for April 3.

Infact, there's a rather nice trailer airing every now and then on BBC One, you haven't seen it have you ? If not keep your eyes peeled, it's pretty good.
-
I've been watching season one of the 2005 series on BBC entertainment which I have been loving and I find out they changed the Doctor after one season? WTF!!! N w I know this isn't the first time that's happened and "different aspects of the same character" yadda yadda but like I love this 9th Doctor. He looks and acts awesome. The 10th one looks like some dumb pretty boy. I haven't seen the 10th one in action but he already doesn't look as cool as the 9th. Can't imagine him having a better personality either. That "Idea one, idea two, idea three" and "Everything has its time to die" line in episode two still gives me chills.

The Ninth regenrated because Christopher Eccleston who plays Nine didn't want to do more than one series, thus we got Tenth.
I didn't like Tenth at first, but he grows on you and in my opinion is a better Doctor than Nine.

Yeah I know that, I researched and stuff including the names of the actors.
Hmm, you say you didn't like him at first but grew to love him more? He must be pretty good then since the 9th doctor was so good he'd really imprint himself on a fan's mind and make any subsequent doctor seem like tosh. Guess I'll give him a chance then. Can't really wait once a week though>< Anyone have links for online episodes/downloads for the first few seasons?
Oh and does this show stay awesome throughout? Because the first few episodes were so awesome already that I can't imagine it staying at the same level of incredible creativity and story-telling genius for the rest of the first season let alone the remaining seasons.

Wow its like I've travelled through time to 2005!
This is pretty much what everyone thought of the 10th until they saw him in action.
The 9th was good but I'd rate him fairly low compared to his predeccesors

This show has been awesome since 1963. The new series is hit and miss to be honest. Its good that the production has changed for the 11th because it seemed like they were running out of a lot of ideas.
Theres probably some good streaming links on SurfTheChannel.
Just as a warning, dont rule out the classic series. Its at a different pace, made in a different time with a considerably smaller budget but some of the older stories are just fantastic.
The Eighth Doctor movie is definately one to watch for beginners!
…that said, anyone picked up any of this years releases yet? I have been pondering The Space Museum/The Chase but I've heard that The Chase is the out right worst Dalek story ever.
-
Yeah. For me 9th is down there with 6th, 1st and 8th (excluding audios, books etc.) for me. Mainly because 6, 8 and 9 weren't in much.
-
My List Goes :
The Tenth Doctor
The Eighth Doctor
The Second Doctor
The Fifth Doctor
The Fourth Doctor
The Ninth Doctor
The Third Doctor
The Seventh Doctor
The First Doctor
The Sixth DoctorTen's completely awesome. But yeah, Thousand you get that, some will love Ten and prefer him to Eccles. Some will feel no-one can surpass Nine
once they've seen him. Sympathy's right, everyone was skeptical of Ten in 2005. He turned out to be the "most popular doctor ever"A small minority of these will do both, Ie love Eccles undeniably, and then also grow to love Ten. But Ten really is an absolute piece of art.
EOT was simply heartbreaking, my only words to you Thousand are 'give him a good chance' because you'll be missing out on a real legend if you don't. -
My list is this
Davison
Tennant
Troughton
Tom Baker
Hartnel
Destro (not even gonna attempt to spell his surname)
worzel gummage
Mccoy
Mcgann
Colin baker and his amazing technicolour nightmare coat

Oh right, i never went to see GI Joe :(
-
believe me you didn't miss much
-
Ah man, you people and your Colin Baker hate! he's easily one of the best.
McCoy is without a doubt the worst!
Anyway, new clip from the beginning of The Eleventh Hour. Little Amy's reaction to it being a time machine made me lol pretty hard.

It's all coming out now after the press release. The Silurians are now OFFICIAL-ly confirmed. As are the Cybermen (Redesigned) - So for all you Cybus haters, rejoice now.
I guess Moffat's decided to bring back the "original" cybermen :getlost:
-
EDIT, New NEW TRAILER !!
WITH CYBERMAN

Never seen Colin baker, but i was checking out wikiquote some time back with the 4th doctor's quotes and his were easily the best.
I can't wait. Just 2 weeks left to wait. Its been a looooooong wait.
-
Wow, so this week I saw the Dalek episode and it was fantastic. A roller-coaster of amazing character development. It was so tragic and near flawless. I say near because they didn't really handle that smarmy American properly. Either keep him as an absolute hated asshole or give him redemption, don't start redeeming him and then send him off to be a druggie anyway. That kind of half-way stuff is sloppy. And omg, they got a new guy what a hilarious plot twist. I figured that bloke would die or something not casually join them XD
-
McCoy is without a doubt the worst!
16 characters of wat?
-
@Mr.:
16 characters of wat?
Bad stories, bad characterisation. He's by no means bad, just not nearly as good as any of the others. Colin Baker needs to be given more of a chance. His audios are among the best and there are some true gems in his short TV run.

Thats Tom Baker. Dont get me wrong, I like the 4th but a lot of people do tend to forget the amount of crap thats in his tenure as the Doctor.

Another new longer revealing trailer on BBC Americaa today. NICE.

Tom baker. yeah. my mistake.
I've not seen much of him outside a few short clips on youtube. -

I've not seen much of him outside a few short clips on youtube.Blasphemy. Right this second you have to watch these 4th Doctor stories before you can call yourself a fan:
The Ark in Space
Genesis of The Daleks
The Brain of Morbius
Pyramids of Mars
The Deadly Assassin
City of Death…but yeah back on track - people need to give Colin Baker more of a chance. Beyond the stupidly coloured coat there is one of the deeper portrayals of the Doctor. Easily one of my favourites if not for the audios alone.
-
So….I finished series 1. Do I watch the entire series from there on to the end, or are there any specific episodes I should watch to catch up with the important shit(if any).
I can get a hold of the rest of the series via my library and the internet, but is a lot of the show filler? Or is there major stuff to watch out for?
