Yup. You are.
That jump-in counter attack move is the funniest thing since ever.

Oh
My
God
I am now upset that I cannot play as Hakan right this instant.
Why does Dee Jay look like the only one who enjoyed the ride?
Sorry Necro, you're not the weirdest anymore. I'm looking forward to it.
His ultra is so hilarious.
Whered does he get that much oil ?
Personally, I like his design. Lol at Rufus and Dan on the ride.
Someone on the dev team has to be a One Piece fan - that first ultra is straight from Big Pan in the Groggy Ring fight!
@Giraffe:

You are right.
There was the giant who had a very slik skin who was the ballman.
….....Does Hakan seem.....wrong to anyone else?
I see the oil and his popular finisher, and my mind just goes to the gutter.
And Dee Jay enjoys everything.
Hakan is the best thing to happen to SF since…forever...
HERE I COME!
I like that he seems to be a fast grappler. One of the main reasons I don't like using grapplers is because they come off as being too slow to me.
I've seen this trailer at least ten times by now… and every time, I'm trying to get over that anti-air ultra. It will be too effing scary to jump in on a Hakan with an ultra ready. And I still have NO idea what that "oil armor" move from the Hakan vs. Juri video does.
But hey, this is the right way to do a comedy character. He's wacky, but looks fun and effective. He's a medium-speed grappler with a slide, a slam, lots of command throws and such, and goodness knows how his pokes are. I'm stoked.
Hakan also looks badass, sure his moves look funny but they managed to make him look badass while doing it.
EDIT: Thanks for the GIF Toshiya!
He is the Family Man. LOL
No problem Tizoc. I'll see if I can find a better one lol

So from the Juri vs. Hakan vid I think he has the following moves-
1- Oil-up
2- normal command grab that sends opponents to the other
3- ground slide, with an optional follow-up
4- A running grab (if oiled-up he'll run faster)
5- Another command grab (In the vid he did a throw that did 5 hits, unless it's his normal throw..)
Hakan…
16 Oily Men!!
Gameplay vids from GDC can be watched here-

Hakan footage included (and in HD!)
My only question - why is his skin so red? Has he burned himself a ton or does he train in the open-air desert all day or something? Turks don't have skin colors so bold, I knew a Turkish girl in college.
EDIT:
This post at eventhubs has pretty good first-impressions info on the SF4 character changes. My boy Rufus got nerfed a little bit :/, but Chun-Li seems more dangerous than ever. Dudley is every bit as scary as I feared.
Abel: Crouching Hard Kick is faster. His Ultra 2 can't combo but its fast and has armor if you hold the button, it looks to be very good.
Abel's ONE weakness (footsies) fixed. And if his stamina has really been upped along with his damage output, we might be looking at one of the new Monsters in SSF4.
My interest in this game just sky-rocketed. This Hakan guy is awesome.

"As a final message, Ono confirmed that Hakan is indeed the final Super Street Fighter IV character. However, he promised more announcements for the game in April and May."
Until Super Street Fighter IV Turbo, that is.
I think that SSF4 is more complete than SF4. They basically went into development on it moments after the arcade release of SF4. My prediction is that SSF4 will last a liiittle longer than SF4 and we won't see the next expansion until the first half of 2012.
Hakan has to be the single greatest Street Fighter character of all time. I dare somebody to challenge that statement.

While I agree his design and overall feeling is pretty epic (in a fun type of way), I still have a VERY warm spot in my heart for Darun Mister and Cracker Jack. The very fact that Hakan's slippery Ultra II involves laying flat on his backin a similar fashion to Darun's Backbody Springboard makes me think the Ono design team may have a soft spot for the EX series.
Also, did anyone catch the Hakan trailer in the montage of World Warriors getting pwnt via floor slide + fourth wall? Guile had his shades during his slide! And Dudley's face was hilarious!
Guile's new taunt has him put shades on. I assume that's how the shades got there.
I'm just glad that none of Blanka's strengths or weaknesses changed. But it sucks that his new Ultra is lame.

Oh I know how Guile gets his shades, I was just pointing the hilarity of the video in showing Guile WITH shades will sliding towards the screen at high speed. Whoever decided to put the shades on as opposed to bulging eyeball face deserves a raise.
Blanka is still my weakpoint when using Abel and Gief… and with Dudley I forsee the same problem so I have to start learning ways around him >.<.
My history with Blanka is weird. I never really used him in Super 2T or in the Alpha games, where my main characters were Vega (claw), Bison (dictator), and Cammy. However, a few years ago I tried him out in Capcom vs. SNK 2 and liked him, then tried him some more with SF4 and liked him even more. Now he's probably my main character, and a LOT of people really don't like fighting against him. Blanka's fun.

I admit my win-loss record with Blanka against RANDOM opponents USUALLY is a good one. My problem stems from the fact that I cannot use Charge characters the way I did when I first started playing SF. When I was a kid I used Charge folk cuz I couldn't do Hadoken motions (let alone Zangief fucking 360 commands). But as I grew now it's become opposite. I can do 360s in my sleep and hadoken motions while Charge commands become impossible for me to link (I can do them but with a LOT of pre-planning).
Blanka's defense and his ability to get people the FUCK off him is what makes him tough against grappler or rekka types. Shotos (or any projectile based fighter) USUALLY can dominate him. Depends on the people behind the Fighters as well.
The thing with Blanka now is that he has way more anti-shoto moves than ever before. Duck, sliding fierce, and EX Beast Roll all go through fireballs (except you need to EX Roll for low Tigers) and he can cross up and rush down like a beast if you're good.
Really, it is hard to get used to charge characters' charge timing. The best way to practice that is to just do the Challenge Mode exercises for the character you want. That can get you working it just right.

Yep essentially that's why I love the Challenge modes, gives you a nice reference tool. My favorite one is Abel's challenges since learning how to use him took me a bit to get used to his rolls, grabs and the mechanics behind his "anti-air" throw.
Tell you what thou, out of ALL the normal challenges the ONE that has stumped me forever is Goukens Fierce Kick (standing) into Shoryuken Super. For the life of me I can't figure the timing out for that beast. But I can combo his back throw or his EX Charge Fist into an Ultra like nothing.
Late to the Hakan party
I was too busy getting oiled up and laying out in the sun
wonderful wonderful shit there

Didn't they nerf his Blanka Balls somewhat?
Also Flash Kick, FADC, Sunglesses will be the new hotness.
Fuck supers it's all about those glasses.
From what I've read, it seems Chun and Rose got better, Rose's new Ultra gives her a small advantage against the opposition, and she now can combo off her reflectors (even into her Ultra I =D)

You sir, take a bow.
Cody Adon and Abel New Alt
!
Ryu Chun Li and Seth
!
Dee Jay, Juri and T Hawk
!
Guy Rose and Rufus
!
Ibuki Sakura Makoto and Akuma
!
Hakan Dudley and Bison.
!
I totally want Makoto's alternative costumes… not because she's wearing a Straw Hat like Luffy... not because she can turn red, then go faster like Gear Second...
I'll either buy all the girls alternative costumes, but just buy everyone.
Those costumes are hotness. I wonder though, will the 10 new characters have TWO alternate costumes or just the one?

Probably two.
Because they're newbies. lol
IIRC, Capcom ATM only have 1 alt for the 10 newcomers =/
Adon's alt looks like he's a nascar racer O_o
…So Bison is Kamen Rider Bison, now, without a mask?!

This post is full of win :o
With those above costumes, the 5 that they revealed for the Brawler Pack (my preorder is already in!), and the additional 3 or 4 we've seen in the new features trailer (Mecha-Zangief!), we're almost done with official costume unveilings. I still haven't seen Honda, Ken, Vega (Batman rumors?), Sagat, El Fuerte, C.Viper, or Gouken. Does anyone have pics of the new alts for those seven?
So I was just doing my thing and rolling around the forums when I found an interview from GDC with Yoshinori Ono where he was asked about Rolento and the possibility of him being in SFIV and his response was:
Rolento is actually my favorite character! I wanted to include R. Mika and Rolento in Super Street Fighter IV, and they were on the list,” he explains, “but the director kept cutting them! I think he was doing it to spite me. I even tried to get them into the backgrounds of one of the stages, but no luck.
Playing with my emotions Ono… playing with my emotions.
But man OH man does this roster look solid for a numbered entry in the Street Fighter Series or what?
I feel Ono's pain… I'd kill to have Rolento, myself.
I feel Ono's pain… I'd kill to have Rolento, myself.
Yeah, at first I wasn't wholly convinced he would fare well in SFIV; but after seeing Ibuki, Dudley, the Alpha cast and HAKAN especially; I think our militant madman has a good chance of being included at some point into the numbered series. Especially since Ono has effectively resurrected SF stateside for mainstream. It's a good era for Street Fighters worldwide. I'm still secretely hoping for R. Mika and Remy at one point (dunno why but I liked them in their respective games).
I'm not a Remy fan, but I like R. Mika okay. I think the smart thing for the next version would be to add a few more from SF3 (maybe 2-3 of Alex, Elena, Urien, Yun, or Yang) and a few more original characters. Technically SF4 has eight original characters (Abel, Rufus, El Fuerte, C.Viper, Gouken, Seth, Juri, and Hakan), and I really like almost all of them. More please.

I ONLY liked Remy cuz of his Sonic Booms and his Counter Ultra (it stopped fucking EVERYTHING but sweeps). SF3 peeps I'd mark for are: Alex, Remy and Elena. More original characters would be nice since Hakan proves to me Capcom is at the peak of their creative genius when it comes to making new fighters (Rufus is still fail looks-wise but as a FIGHTER he rocks). If anything I'd see if it was possible to extract some EX fighters (Cracker Jack, Pullum Purna, Doctrine Dark) or MAYBE even bring out some Rival Schools peeps (Shoma for the fucking win).
I'd die a happy man if we ever get Mike fucking Haggar in a fighting game proper (and no Saturday Night Slam Masters 2 doesn't count).
I love R. Mika… too bad her seiyuu is Naruto's seiyuu. :cwy:
I know SFIV:2 isn't out yet, but for SFIV:3, I'd love to see...
Alpha: Charlie (finally, give us a plot twist!), Karin, R. Mika, and Rolento
Three: Elena, Remy (^), Sean and Alex
and of course, two brand new characters... once of them named, "Cain". -looks at Abel and Seth-
