Four years ago, Kazuma Kannagi was defeated by his cousin Ayano Kannagi for the right to be the successor of Enraiha, a sword passed down in the Kannagi family. His defeat, along with his lack of talent for En-Jutsu, the fire arts, the Kannagis' specialty, resulted in his banishment from the family. Now, Kazuma returns as Kazuma Yagami, a skilled master of Fū-Jutsu, the wind arts.
This anime ended recently at episode 24 but I've seen up to 17. I have to say, at first, I thought this seemed like some Shakugan no Shana rip off but it's pretty different. The characters are pretty well developed, especially Kazuma's godly yet badass sarcastic slurs he dishes out at Ayane anytime, who's pretty hillarious for a girl. Katherine McDonald and Ren have become two of my favorite characters as well. Plus, best quote from Kazuma, "Dont blame me that I kick so much ass."
Pretty much, it was Kazuma's sarcastic yet "cool" kind of attitude that got me into the series.
