A thread for a movie we may not see for a while. Huh.
Now it's definitive that it will be a reboot. While I like Donner's Superman(but utterly despise Singer's Superman Returns), I think it's about time to see a modern Superman movie.
However, they are trying to make a script without Lex Luthor. I think that's a big mistake. Yes, he isn't as interesting in the past movies, but that was all pre-crisis Lex. Businessman Luthor shows why he is considered Superman's Archnemesis.
But they have some point, he shouldn't be the main villain. And if he will be, at least have someone who could throw some punch. For example, if anyone read the LL: Man of Steel mini by Azzarello he knows how good it is. I wouldn't mind if this story would be adapted, or just an inspiration for the movie, much like Year One was for Batman Begins. Of course, there are many other great Superman stories.
I just hope that WB keeps Snyder's nostalgia out of this.
Or Millar's stupid idea, that would be even worse.
