@Dark:
…might I ask why Gen's in here, then? Wasn't he supposed to have some terminal illness or something?
Gen had Leukemia, but it was never stated whether he died of it after SFZ3 or not. It's possible he might've recovered from it by SF4.
Or how about Gouken, whose death is a major driving force in what passes for a story for the series?
He came back to seal Ryu's Satsui no Hadou, or so some have speculated. Besides we finally get to play as 'Shen Long' :P
Hell, even Rose should, by all rights, be dead.
Not really…like Gen it was never stated what exactly happened to her after SFZ3. ...but there is something a bit questionable; Capcom stated that Rose and Vega share the same soul or such, so when Gouki Shun Goku Satsu-ed Vega, he sent Vega's soul to hell. Seeing as Vega is the 'evil part' of the soul, Rose would be the 'good part'. Was her soul also sent to Hell?
Don't think so since, the SGS sends you to hell based on your Karma or such. So if anything, Rose was imprisoned by Shadaloo, after Vega was defeated and Shadaloo was falling apart, she escaped from their captivity, and the rest will be explained in SF4 perhaps.
Sadly, the story's followed the graphics right into the toilet. :/
Graphics are great, and the facials are wonderfully done, part of why its awesome.
One more story tidbit if it wasn't posted yet; it's possible that Seth is connected to Gill's organization.
Seth is the director of SIN, but what this anacrom stands for wasn't revealed yet. If you add the character 'sha' to the end of it, making it SIN-sha, then in Japanese it would come out as something close to 'Secret Organization', which is what Gill's group is known as in Japan.
Gill's group is only know as Illuminati in the US translations only IIRC.
Finally Seth is named after Seth Killian aka S-Kill, he was the one who made the SFII Super Turbo Tutorial in Capcom Classics Collection 2.
