Man, depends what they do with Gin, it could be a big spoiler even for us manga readers.
If they either removed or reduced the role of Gin, and Oda approved of this, then it's clear he has no plans for him to return in the manga.
The "hero" coby feels forced af and based on some off panel event. Even more considering that the only known "hero" of marines is Garp the legend that rivaled even pirate king Roger. At least if this was admiral coby but he is still some captain rank.

As someone who's not following the anime, I am curious to know if they expanded Crocodile destroying the marine blockade, which was relegated to 1-2 small panels in the manga.
There's at least a vice admiral there, you could show a small mini fight. So, did they expand on that in any capacity?
We see the marines ships explode one by one but don't see who does it, then crocodile is shown using his sand slash attack to cut one in half. Then he beats a few fodder but no sign of any vice admiral or anyone above fodder rank.
Either he beat him off screen or marines know Buggy is a fraud and a fodder so they only send fodders after him.
What is the target audience, because based on episode 1 spoilers from the other thread, this sounds like it's going for mature.

Oda made powers so broken he wrote himself in a corner because characters only remember the full potential of their powers when the plot demands it.
Garp got from the marine base ( next to egg island) in such a short time.
And with garp there, someone for sure has to rescue him. Doesn't look like koby is coming back.
But elbaf is where luffy has to find eustass and elbaf buildup.
But early confrontation between BB and luffy will not be anything but a win for BB.
I'm going to guess that maybe all BB pirates left and will end up fighting shanks and only aokiji guards the island and luffy will defeat him similar to how he did with the other admiral, to knock some senses into aokiji because a blackbeard pirate is really not him.

It makes no sense for marines to go back to sanji's Duval picture.

Season 2 should cover Alabasta, Crocodile and Smoker adapted in there and main villains duo ( with smoker becoming ally in second half of the season) and maybe even Wapol will be a cameo along the lines of Gin but not proper villian, to hype crocodile or smoker.
Maybe they can also make it 10 episodes since this will cover chopper arc, little garden, everything going on in alabasta.
But 2025 most likely the year we get it.
This is a small complaint but I don't like the often first mate thing used for zoro by himself and the crew. I don't remember him or the crew calling himself first mate, maybe people outside of the crew that don't know them.
Like even after wano he is know as the sword master of the crew.
Sanji and zeff great, they placed arlong and his gang well in there but buggy stole the show.
Sanji flashback was done well, just like in the manga.
mihawk looks like mihawk but his voice, it sounds really wierd. Not sure if it's intentional or not.
And who came up with garp and mihawk. Everything sanji and zeff is great. And garp
is from Scotland or something?
