Seems like every time he attacks, he slams his front leg on the ground (for balance?). It might be possible that Hendrixen was counting on that and threw acid on the area around Dryfus as a set-up for Dryfus' next attack, hoping he'd do it and the ground wouldn't be solid enough to withstand the impact. Dryfus even mentioned Hendrixen should have known that the acid wouldn't injure him.

Why would someone think that's laughing? Doflamingo's laugh is "fufufufufu". "Haa" is obviously panting.

As everyone has already said, he's panting. "Haa" "Haa…" has probably been the most uttered phrase in this entire arc, given how much running every single character was doing.

I'm not sure why the editor/typesetter eliminated the ellipses from the first and third bubbles. Those are actually important.
