I've known about One Piece for a very long time,
but never gave it a chance partly because of
what seemed to be at the time, and I quote my friends,
a "lame pirate story appealing only towards 5 year olds".

But it wasn't until late 2004 or early 2005
I decided to give One Piece a chance.
Searched up the OP manga online and HUZZA~!
I fell in love. It wasn't until Chopper's background
was revealed that I was fully addicted.

Me and my two younger brothers all love One Piece. My mum likes OP, despite the language difference.
But she's becoming pretty open minded about other
culture's dramas and animations, since I love watching
asian dramas and I'm constantly watching them.

All my friends at school however,
with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 of them,
all dislike One Piece. Mostly because of the
animation style or the "weak" storyline, leaving me saying
"What the hell!?!". I don't think they've even given OP a try.
