Random thought but I've always thought that Mihawk's blade must have been made by Shimotsuki kozabaru considering his legendary status. Now that he has specifically mentioned that Enma was his greatest creation, it makes me wonder if there was some other master craftsman who can make incredible swords and is still alive. Secondly, there has also been no mihawk related references in the Wano arc yet. So I am wondering if Oda is waiting to mention his relationship to wano somewhere and also explain how he got his blade. It would be nice if both are related! Someone from Wano who can still make excellent swords who has made for mihawk at some point of time in the past and who could possibly make one for Zoro post the fighting perhaps? Tenguyama seems like the obvious option but would like to see how this pans out

RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
! Saitama vs Garou in itself will take around ten chapters easily. Plus i don't think the end catharsis he has will be translated the same way as its done in the webcomic.
! Garou has been relatively silent at this stage as compared to his webcomic counterpart. His literal character/redemption arc is yet to even start from a storywriting perspective. Adding to that, I don't know what new plotlines Murata will add to the fold as well in conjunction to the current storylines of webcomic too -
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
@TLC:
Now that Murata is done with his endless redrawing, we're finally making some real progress with this arc. It'll probably end in the next few chapters.
You mean the whole arc? I very much doubt it

RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
Wonder if black sperm's design inspiration was Majin buu from dbz. Including his multiple transformations so far it seems that way

RE: Chapter 1,028: Brachiosnakeus
To think from an alternative pov, the knowledge they need is how to read Poneglyphs not necessarily Robin herself. We know Caternia devon can shape shift herself to another person. Will that include the memories and other intrinsic linguistic abilities too? We know that her ability is similar to Mane Mane no mi but perhaps this is what differentiates from that? It not only clones oneself but copies their learned talents and knowledge as well. If such a thing is possible, that would mean a contact with Robin might just be enough to capture the ability to read Poneglyphs.
We also know that there is another way to read it which would be the the ability to hear the "voice" of the text. If we see people who has more of these abilities, they might be pretty darn crucial for the WG to capture
-
RE: Chapter 1,028: Brachiosnakeus
Won't be surprised if CP0 finds someone else who could read the Poneglyphs (in Wano) or an alternative to reading them directly. Reading poneglyphs might just be the big boost WG needs to prepare for next big things that might crop up

very unfortunate situation let's hope at least it doesn't devolve into a second syria
Might be worse. A tad bit.

RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
! Because yeah, it's obviously some more meat on the bones for the God of Homeless Emperor, the logical next big thing for the arc after next - maybe even the super threat of the prophecy. So why not flesh out Orochi in such a beneficial and funny episode? It's not like anything was sacrificed, unlike the Phoenix man encounter.
! Orochi was a side character from the start anyways. And we knew how it ended the first time so hyping him up again wouldn't be that good.
! I am a bit confused about Gods portrayal here. Its implied that he might get resurrected only now due to orochis death. Hope its not a resurrection ritual but some sort of power upping one. -
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
Hmm
Webcomic spoiler:
! Looks like it's the "God" who gave homeless emperor his powers

RE: General football "soccer" thread
Tbh I didn't expect England to come all the way to the finals let alone almost clinch the trophy.
That said, I feel bad for the youngsters forced to come in the end to just take penalties. I remember an experienced player like Anelka coming in at the end during the 08(i think?) CL finals against MU and squandering his penalty. If we have even experienced players having their jitters during a shootout, it's not fair to put the burden on youngsters like that. I don't know what the f was expected, 19 yr olds coming in and hitting panekas like the zidanes and del pieros?! Poor poor decision
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh and Italy was fucking amazing!! England was very confident after their goal but Italy literally thawed off that confidence by the second half. Brilliant use of subs as well! I felt that this was like a better version of the 06 Italy that won the WC.

I'll say ten years down the lane a major chunk of cruptos won't survive except for a select few like bitcoin and ethereum. The others would be replaced by newer 4th or 5th gen cryptos. Cryptos are surely there to stay though
-
RE: Investments Thread
There would be a conscious effort in decentralising bitcoin and consider around the power issues as well hopefully. Hell I don't care, I am investing in ETH and ADA majorly both having their own utility

RE: Investments Thread
The tech is way ahead and governments are yet to figure out how these things can be used. Bitcoin, if its not used as a currency, can perhaps be used as something else altogether. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the tech companies are going to play around in the crypto business

What Musk said wasn't entirely false nor does it make bitcoin bad in any way. Proof of work as a concept behind bitcoin surely has flaws wrt energy consumption and centralisation than proof of stakes. Plus the crypto fall wasn't entirely his fault. It was bound to crash sooner or later

It's always good to split up your portfolio as per your age. I would strongly suggest people less than 35-40 have high risk portfolios. Mine is currently 80% stocks, 10% etfs 5% cryptos 5% liquid cash. Once I cross 35 it would gradually flip over to mixed etfs and less of individual stocks/cryptos.

I would not recommend cryptos to anyone. There is literally no asset behind it which determines whether it goes up or not. Its just fancy gambling.

Woah what a change in perspective to happen in few months.
Post a lot of research and discussions with few people knowledgeable in cryotos, I retract the above quoted statement entirely. Cryptos are worthy investments but surely if you can handle only high risk and high volatility

What currency would you guys choose to invest in if you knew the US dollar was going to collapse ahead of time?
Gold. Strictly a currency? Euro or the Chinese Yuan maybe.
It depends on what might the reason behind the currency's collapse. USD is one of the most widely circulated money kept around the world in reserves. If the dollar falls, many currencies will indirectly get affected.

Stock market is a great option for investing. I am investigating this field myself. But must admit that there are so many moves to be made if you want to get shares or bonds :( you need to be really patient for that! At the moment I am also looking into buying cryptocurrencies and real estate. I believe that in the long run these fields provide some sort of financial balance. Real estate market is stable giving little profit though. While crypto market is quite risky but theoretically can bring a lot of profit. My dream is to live in Spain, in the Alicante area to be exact! hope one I can afford it through sensible investment! fingers crossed
I would not recommend cryptos to anyone. There is literally no asset behind it which determines whether it goes up or not. Its just fancy gambling.

RE: Investments Thread
For an aspiring investor, how does the situation differ between US and Europe, practically? Keep the advice coming guys.
I can speak mainly for the UK vs US ones since I trade in both. The major difference is the sheer amount of companies that are traded in the US markets as compared to the UK ones. Also, due to the brexit fears over the years many investors have slowly transitioned over to the US market to be on the safer side. I prefer technology stocks and US has way more tech ones traded than the UK.
Apart from these I don't see any major differences as such.

- Just put your money in the market whenever you can. Don't worry about whether the market is falling or rising right now. The market picture over a period of weeks or even months does not really matter in the grand scheme of things. There's no sense in timing the market. Professional investors try and fail all the time, so don't even try..
I would probably add to this that this applies to only blue chips and not the others. To really weather the ups and downs without timing the market requires the money to work for you for 3 yrs minimum and only a blue chip can give some guarantee on achieving that

RE: Investments Thread
As Robby mentioned, it is definitely worth waiting for few more weeks to see how things are. If you are new, this is probably the best time to pick the right stocks and ready yourself to get into the markets once it becomes a bit stable.
Generally, a good indicator is the VIX index which shows how volatile the markets are. Somewhere around 20 or less is usually a good indicator so its worth to wait till it drops towards the 20 mark. It is around 75 right now so a strict no no for investing. Just to give an understanding of how unstable it is, the 2008 crash sent the VIX index to a max of ~60 so this is way more unstable.
S&P 500 is probably the safest one amongst equities to invest in the markets once the volatility has reduced. I am doing a bit of a research on what to invest too in these markets once it clears up. Will post them here if it helps.

If you're buying a stock in a company, and it has already and attractive price, it is not a good idea to wait any longer. If you're talking about the overall market, you're right, that's how it seems, but it is always deceptive. It could stabilize 1 day, and continue to fall for 3 months or more, that's how this thing is.
It sorta depends on what as an investor you are looking for. I generally pace it for at least a year so even if I see losses in the immediate month or so, I wouldn't mind but considering the volatility at place now, either waiting for things to slowly stabilise or keep buying bits and pieces as it keeps going down so that you normalise your losses would be a good option. It depends on how impatient you are really [emoji14] I would sit through for some more days though. I am eyeing Tesla for it to go down although the current prices are reasonably attractive

RE: Investments Thread
I'm a complete noob and I've never bought stocks before, but I know enough to say that the stock market is basically gambling.
Not really. If you believe companies are good enough to run for a long time and in a profitable and sustainable way, then it is worth investing in them. Day trading is gambling surely but long term investing isn't. If it was, people like Warren Buffet wouldn't be raking billions. The difficult part is trying to see how good a company really is.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
For beginners, mutual funds are a good place to start off with so that you can see how well your funds grow over time. At least for me, I started off with those to understand how things really work and besides, the majority of the hard work of trying to find out which company is good etc is done by the fund manager pretty much so not a bad way to start off. Plus it is probably the best way to beat inflation.

RE: Chapter 971: Sentenced to Boil
This might be just a silly line but Orochi saying that he was not able to sleep due to him being afraid of being hunted - could it be that BB ended up in a similar state of fear throughout his childhood that he has become permanently scarred to not sleep at all? I know it sounds very random but considering we had that shown just few chapters back makes me think twice about such a similar statement coming up now. Are these lines similar in japanese too?

RE: Chapter 957: ULTIMATE
I am curious to know why Xebec was intent on attacking the tenryubuittos. And additionally, why Roger felt it as a need to protect them. Roger would have known about them and there would be no need for him to protect them at all unless they possessed something that Xebec was keen on getting which would cause a much worse chaos than the tenryubuittos currently do? There should be something about this island that attracted Rocks and hence the cover up

I wouldn't put it as a recent epidemic. The problem was there from the start. It is just that things are coming to light more (which is good in a way). I don't see it correlate to the extreme groups popping up now since the pattern of emergence is quite in line with what has been happening in other countries too as mentioned in the article. However, as any male centric extreme groups have acted traditionally, the ones that we have do have a bit of regressive views on women and their conduct.

RE: Football: 2018 World Cup
I am reaally excited for the France Belgium game! Belgium's attack has such a clear cut edge over France but French defending can perhaps bail them out at the end. The last Belgium's game had the attackers create gaping holes in the center of the Brazilian defense I am curious to see if they can replicate it here.
I am going to go for a risky prediction of Belgium winning this game

I felt Germany changed their approach to attack in the second half. Their over reliance on Kimmich to provide crosses was reduced when they concentrated more from the left during the second half. If Mexico follows the same strategy, expect Lozano to get fouled bigtime

Poor uneducated racist snowflake.
How common is this in the US? I know that there aren't very many languages in the US to cause such outrage everywhere but just wondering. I guess NY and other diversity intense states bear the brunt often?
Linguistic chauvinism is something very common in my country so curious to see how it holds up elsewhere too. It isn't classified as racism though in our case since the outrage mainly rises due to the inability to speak the same tongue rather than stemming from the race of the person. People feel that their language should be imposed so that communication can be more easier. It's a different debate altogether anyway
