K, first off I know this goes in the discussion thread, but I feel that the chapter that I am sharing my opinion on is so epic, that I have permission from Oda to write a thread.

Anyway, 485 is out on OneManga.Com out of the blue (still no Claymore :sad:) Oh my god… Zoro is amazing... he actually took in all Luffy's pain to save his crew and make sure Luffy becomes pirate king, and Kuma actually teleported away, believing he was dead! Wow, Zoro is waaaay loyal. Probably one of the most loyal of all the Strawhats...

BE WARNED: Please don't take offense to this people, but this show REALLY isn't for those who cant grasp there mind around more complicated concepts such as symbolism. This series really fucks with your mind. This series is a psychological thriller, and is aimed towards an adult audience, or at least an audience that can understand it. (I'm only 13 xD) There are also a lot of unsuspected endings in the middle of a situation or predicament that doesn't seem to be solved, so don't watch this if you're not into opening Wikipedia at the end of every episode to find out WTF just happened.

I love ALL the strawhats, but mai fav characters aar:

Luffy
Devilishly funny, remarkably powerful(with an original ability), and a generally astounding character, I hate it when people say he's stupid though. He's really just slow at first, but he has made some absolutely GENIUS battle plans, mainly when finding the enemy's weakness, and then finding a way to get past it.

Chopper
HES SO CUTE! I also like how he looks up to Ussop, and how he can be so modest at times, yet he still shows everyone up with his super-brain. Plus he has awesome fights. My favorites were his fights with Gedatsu, and Kumadori.

Sanji
Definitely the "Coolest" Strawhat. "God makes the food. the devil makes the spices. Guess it was to hot for you?" ~Sanji ;D Also, I love his rivalry with Zoro.

Franky
Probably because he's new, but also because he is the most original Strawhat since Chopper. I like how he has a techno/dance theme, and how he can go from peppy to emo in a blink of an eye. And his fight with Fukurou was one of my favorite EL fights hands down. Simply AMAZING, or should I say… S-U-P-A!!! >:] Sorry, I had to. ;_;

Brook
Ok, he isn't an official Strawhat yet, but come on, he's got to be! But I wont go into that here. I love his gentlemen theme, although I do not completely understand his fighting style… THATS GOOD! That means that when it gets animated, I'll be blowned awai. ;o He's hilarious too. I can really see some Afro/Skeleton puns.

Ussop and Zoro are next in line. I love the ladies of One piece too. I just don't find them as interesting as some of the guys. ;]

Ok, so most people here think that the Paw Paw Fruit is a Paramecia, but what about this thought: it's an Air Logia? no, not like tornadoes, that's wind. But AIR, that's different. You know how he can telleport and stuff? Well, if it was an Air Logia, this could be explained as him turning into Air and automatically appearing in another location, as all air is connected. This could also explain his bombs. As he can turn his body into air, and since there is an infinite suply of air, he could compress large amounts of air into small "air pockets" that explode over time. This could be compared to a balloon. If you blow into a balloon, it will grow and grow, until it reaches it's limits. POP! But if you start to blow in a balloon, and then hold the sides of it with your hands, the balloon can't xpand, and the air is trapped between your mouth and the balloon, causing it to explode early.

Well, what do you guys think? (Also, sorry for making TWO Kuma threads, I guess I find him interesting enough to be worthy.

Anyway, with Luffy and Co. having already killed off two Shichibukai (Crocodile, Moria) and now Heading to Fishman island, where a load of people (Including myself) believe he will fight another Shichibukai named Jimbei (Jimbei is part of the Japanese word Jimbei-Zame, which means "Whale Shark" heavily implying that he is a fishman) what is the world government plan to do? I mean there is a 98% chance the Strawhats will escape Kuma, and a 1% chance they'll defeat him, and another 1% chance that some other crazy thing will happen. Assuming they escape Kuma without defeating him him (EXTREMELY likely) and then defeat Jimbei, there will only be five Shichibukai left. Mihawk, Kuma, Doflamingo, Blackbeard, and the unknown Shichibukai. Plus there is the beleif that prior to the end of the series, Luffy will defeat Blackbeard, and Zoro will defeat Mihawk. Leaving only Kuma, Doflamingo, and the unknown Shichibukai.

What do you think the Government will do? Find replacements as always? Invite Luffy to the Shichibukai(he obviously wouldn't accept), or just disban the Shichibukai altogether? What do you think?

As far as strength goes, do you thing we've finally met another character with a power level equal of Aokiji, as in other words, an enemy that Luffy and the rest of the Strawhats can't defeat, an enemy that is like, really deadly and stuff.

What do you think? There has been few characters Luffy and Co. couldn't beat, and even fewer that they couldn't lay a finger on. Do you think we'll meet more characters like this?

I do. I think as the series goes on, with the Strawhats making it to the New World and such, they will definitely meet some unbeatable foes. Especaily with the Yonkous out there. If Luffy beat a Yonkou this early on, honestly, I'd be pissed. ;_; I just don't want Oda to give the strawhats that much power that fast.

It seems to me that the anime artwork and animation style are improving…

Someone told me that the Ice Hunter arc is remarkably good for a filler, and that I should check it out to pass the time… should I?

That the recent episodes since they started the Ice Hunter ARC have been animated MUCH MUCH better? I think they have...

Is there any place to find the earlier episodes in RAW format for download??? By early I mean Alabasta and Skypiea, and so forth… I've got some great AMV ideas, but I HATE using subbed episodes (although I so often have too... :()

Anyway, I've been on Google, Vegapunk, Darkside-Raws, and none pf them have RAWs for Skypiea or Alabasta... help pl0x

Am I the only "unsteady" viewer there? As in, I read the Manga for some parts, and watched the Anime for others?

I read the Viz Manga from the "Axe-Hand Morgan" arc to the end of the "Little Garden" arc, and then I watched the Anime from the "Drum Island" arc to the end of the "Post-Enies Lobby" arc.

While waiting for the "Ice Hunter" filler to finish, I started reading the Manga again from the "Thriller Bark" arc, and now I'm at the most recent chapter.

So yah, I am caught up in the Manga, and the Anime (excluding filler), so now I think I am going to start watching the new episodes as they come out, and reading the new chapters as they come out. Is this healthy. x3

So Kuma is planning on defeating the Strawhats 'eh? I really sense another Lougetown/Enies Lobby. The Mugiwara's have to escape fast, and in the middle of the action, some one has to make a decision on whether to go with the Strawhats very quickly.

Well, I've been watching/reading One Piece for about 4 years.. I got into it with VIZ around the beginning… and recently, about one and a half years ago, I began watching the anime from the Chopper arc. Now I'm up caught up (excluding filler) and I'm caught up in the manga too.

During the last four years, I'd say One Piece has been one of the top 5 most important things in my life. I'm still not tired of it, and I doubt I ever will be. In my opinion, One Piece is not only the best anime, but what will one day be one of the best known anime of all time. Probably Dargon ball esque. As long as that happens, I don't think Oda will end it.

Don't flame me, but is the thriller bark arc almost over? And no, I have not read the whole thing yet…

Also, where did people hear about the Fishman Island arc? Or did they just assume that it was next since that's where the Strawhats are heading...

And finally, is the Fishman Island arc suposed to be a traditional super arc? (Alabasta, Skypiea, Enies Lobby)

Luffy: More character development… I would say more gears, if not for the fact that Gear second alone lowers his lifespan every time he uses it...

Zoro: More character development, and some bitchin' new swords or techniques.

Nami: Maybe an update on that dream of hers? Also maybe an actual GOOD fight, where she doesn't spend the whole time figuring out how to damage the opponent.

Ussop: A LOT more character development (mainly his past) and maybe another team up fight (like him w/ chopper)

Sanji: More character development. And DEFINITELY a dream update! DO SOMETHING ABOUT FINDING ALL BLUE ALREADY!

Chopper: Not much... he is pretty much perfect ^_^

Robin: A real one one one fight. Hopefully fishman island will be another super arc, where Robin will get an opponent more worthy than Yama....

I am not sure why, but I actually feel kinda sad when I think that the Strawhats have only sailed for half a year. ='(

I know Skypiea was 2 days long(Enel is constantly stating how much time has passed, and the Strawhats stay one night to party after they are done), and they conquered the ENTIRE East Blue in 3 days.

Water 7 combined with Enies Lobby must have taken at least a week. I base this on absolutely nothing, but it seems like a fair estimate.

And, while everyone here would probably disagree with me, I'm going to guess that the entire Baroque Works saga was the longest. I know they were rushing from island to island, but you have to realize sailing a ship can't be easy. It must take the Strawhats a good bit of time to get from island to island, and I imagine that there is a good bit of undocumented sailing that takes place. I mean, while it's INCREDIBLY hard to believe (lol) there probably are times during the Strawhat's lives when they are NOT on an adventure. It's not like oda is going to write down every single part of there lives, as they sleep, eat, and poop!

Woa… long rant... (I hope someone got that)
