Nice, Luffy got a new Bounty.
Liking how Oda is setting up this arc.

I think Mr. 1 is gay for Crocodile and follows him unquestioningly because of it, despite the fact Crocodile never reciprocates and actually abuses the relationship.
And I'm kind of not joking on this.
Thanks for the chapter :D
Thanks for the Raw :)
My favorite villain is Doflamingo. The guy is a pimp, literally.
I would say Aokiji, but I have a feeling he isn't a true bad guy.
Thanks BF/High School Kid; good way to wake up in the morning :)
What the hell?!
I think I'm scarred…
I don't think Ryuma is that strong; he's strong enough to give Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji a fight, but I think once they put on their game faces they could take him.
However, I must admit we don't know much about him and he could surprise me with newfound strength…
Hogback looks like the love child of Danny DeVito's Penguin and Nosferatu.
Thanks BF.
@Fire Fist:
He's dressed as a pilgrim. (Not an American Pilgrim, but a Buddhist Pilgrim).
I immediately thought he was dressed like Father Guido Sarducci from SNL fame, with the crosses and the exorcising of demons and what not.
Needless to say, Auger is a beast. Hell, all of the BB pirates are; Burgess threw a freaking house at "Poochie".
The Straw Hats have their work cut out for them.
I haven't translated it yet, but as a special present to everyone:
I can't stop laughing!
Important figures DON'T DIE in OP, only the forgettable ones do.
Yeah, like that guy…what was his name? Gol. D Roger.
Oda said he didn't like killing main characters, but I'm sure that there will be atleast one unexpected death at some point in the One Piece timeline and since this around the halfway point...
I say we eventually see it in another flashback, but not here.
Thanks ocean!
So Blackbeard is darkness…I hope there isn't an eclipse when he fights Ace.
My mother once met Redd Fox when she worked at an art show in Las Vegas. Apparently he flirted with her and after he left he called her and asked her if he lost his diamond stud ear ring in the store. She never did find it…or so she tells me.
Either way, Sanford + Daimond Stud Earring >>> Kingdom Hearts
Thanks a plenty, BF!
Maybe Shanks is fighting Whitebeard so that when they draw, Shanks will say "And if Blackbeard is as strong as me, how do you think Ace will do?", at which point Whitebeard will retroflect and begin to cry…Actually, just the first part.
Did any one else notice that Doc Q fell off of his horse in the last panel…that had me laughing.
Also, what type of sword does Whitebeard have? If memory serves me right it looks like a zhanmadao, but I may be mistaken...
Hey…You may be on to something!
So I guess Ace is going to have to have the tattoo on his back redone…sucks for him.
As much as I do think that it should stay, in some ways I do kind of see where it needs to be changed. Having grown up in the southern United States, anything with white hoods and one too many "k"'s only brings memories of hate and prejudice. If by coincidence some childrens writer in a foreign country publishes a story about a little boy whose initials are KKK and likes ghosts, as unintentional as it is, it may still offend some people. Do they have a right to be offended? Yes and no. Yes because, if they were involved some how with whatever the symbol stood for, it is representing itself again, albeit a new identity. No because it is unintentional and the world will never always be pleased.
I personally feel that the second has greater priority than the former, but that is just my opinion.
I've never thought Aokiji a real bad guy (zealot of absolute justice), and I think this kind of proves it. He's obviously been in the Navy for a long time, so he has probably witnessed all types of corruption that has been labeled as good. From what I have read, he isn't on good terms with his higher ups (Sengoku after he let Robin go at O'hara and the Gourousei when he left without their orders) as well as atleast one of his equals (Akainu when he destroyed the passenger ship 20 years ago). Maybe seeing Luffy succeeding against them has made him think about his position. Maybe Dragon has already affected him. All I can say is that he may actually be on the Straw Hat's side, if not completely now, then maybe later.
Thanks BF!!!
Apparently this message needed to be longer….
I knew Aokiji wasn't a real bad guy. Right now he could stop everything, but choses to let them be and to let Robin be happy. He's a big softy inside.
I don't doubt Nami's backstory will be revealed, just as I don't doubt Sanji's will. Zeff plays a big part of that, so he is bound to be used substantially again. And since Oda LOVES throwing in twists, he may just make Zeff a previous Yonkou…
Garp said his son (Dragon) told him he met Luffy in Roguetown. Hmm…That means that he and Dragon met up some where in between. That may also shed light on Garp; given the opportunity to take down (presumably) the most wanted man in the world and chosing not to means he probably has very little taste for "absolute justice". Maybe that's why he isn't Admiral.
I say it was to show him Coby and Helmeppo and to show him his new bounty…crosses fingers...
Helmeppo's glasses remind me of Geordi LaForge…if any one knows who he is.
I'm curious as hell to know what Robin is saying...
First page! Woot!
Thanks BF!
If Robin was a D, why did she ask Luffy "Why do all of you D's fight"? That's a second person plural "you", she's not included in it. I'm pretty sure Robin's not a D.
So Kuduo's translation says Garp was the guy who cornered Roger several times, meaning he escaped a couple of times. Seeing as how Luffy still has one more grandfather spot to fill, maybe Roger is still his grandfather: Garp couldn't bring himself to take in family, so he slyly trapped him and then let him go. Marines caught on, and refused to make him admiral (or merely because he was related to the Pirate King).
Hmmm… Garp, Roger, and Dragon all have the same nose (and face, for the most part). Correlation?
Agreed. Go back and read from chapter 380 on.
If he didn't act sick, all those nurses wouldn't be around him all the time. Seems obvious to me.
But I really think it was just a tumble with Roger. I mean, Zoro is going to have his scar for a LONG time, why not Whitebeard?
Thanks BF…
Merry's dead. Robin, Zoro, and Sanji don't seem to be taking it so hard. Well, I guess I understand because Robin and Sanji don't have any prearranged attachment to it and Zoro is probably still pissed one of his swords broke...
@Fire Fist:
What's it with people and hating fanservice? When it's occasional, it's fine. But all the time is rather over-doing it.
Some guys get off on that. More power to them, I guess. If it gets more readers and allows Oda to sell more Tankos, I'm all for it.
Plus, you have to remember that the Japanese in general are perverts.
I don't think many will argue that Nami's fight was overly…sensual, for lack of a better word.
I know that the Japanese like that...I'm not Japanese...I don't like it...I see no ignorance on my part...
My favorite part has to be when all of the Straw Hat pirates are standing on the roof of the courthouse staring down Spandam and the CP9.
Least favorite has to be Nami's fight. Too much fanservice and I abhor Calipha for reasons I cannot explain.
maybe you should look at the British Monarchy before deciding that looks go hand in hand with royal lineage.
I would prefer not to look at them. Looks don't necessarily go hand in hand, but ol' Charley boy didn't try to marry a noisome ogre into the family.
Ok, if they go to merman island with Kokoro, we'll find out that she's royalty and in fact Jinbei's wife and thus they won't have a conflict there, it will be a happy-happy-joy-joy fun island
Kokoro's not royality; she's probably considered just as ugly in fish-man standards as people standards. God bless the soul that falls in love with that body…
Thanks BF!
I guess Kokoro guides them to Fish-man island next (as in next arc)…
But once the world had regrown from the "Lost Century", would it not be better for peace to have every one know what happened, so as to say "If we don't stay unified we will all destroy ourselves again"?
Interesting thought, but so far their callous and vicious actions seem to put them on the "bad guy" side.
I could see a admiral or vice admiral try to take Pluton and become the most powerful man in the world so the World Government sacrifices Pluton and destroys it to make sure they remain on top. Then, not to cause paranoia among the rest of the world, they secretly pass the plans off to the world's greatest shipwright, Tom, telling him when the time comes they'll need him to build it. But when they discover Tom built the Oro Jackson (Roger's ship), they realize some one who could align themselves with the King of the Pirates is not to be trusted with the power of one of the ancient weapons. So, they accuse him and send Spandam after him.
Atleast it makes some sense from where I'm sitting…
Octogon: Good theory. I must say I have been thinking along your lines. But how could the World Government alliance lose Pluton and Tom end up with the blueprints?
No one wants Franky's speedo???…eh, I wouldn't either.
Lucci's coat is pretty sweet. But if I couldn't mix and match I would just take Aokiji's, sleep mask and all (bicycle included).
