      ! Interesting moment as Oga declares himself to be Beel's parent. I guess we won't be seeing him trying to dump Beel anymore.

      I believe babu is short for beruzebabu, which is how the Japanese pronounce Beelzebub.

      Dororon Enma-kun Meramera:

      Saggy grandma titties, a giant demon boner, and an OP by Masaaki Endoh. That's basically how I remembered the first episode. If you're ignorant like me, then you probably don't know that this is a remake of the original anime that was based off the manga created by Go Nagai. It's fairly entertaining and the characters are fun, and the overall production quality is good. At the very least, I'd say it's worth checking out.

      Just watched the most recent episode. I can't believe that made Toujou's long-awaited debut to be in a filler episode. That's just terrible.

      @Kaba:

      Highly highly unlikely that the birdman will show up out of nowhere and just tell the crew how to make it cry. You're giving those banana beaks way more credit than they deserve.

      Actually, it won't be out of nowhere, since we just saw a decrepit birdman attack Komatsu in the previous chapter.

      Tamura is certainly a young and inexperienced artist. But the emotions he draws. Damn. I might be reading this manga just for the faces.

      Tamura may be inexperienced, but he's actually almost 31, so he's not really THAT young.

      I never really expected Luu to be anymore than a cute sidekick. My guess is that she ends up being the "child" of the group since it appears she sees Emma as a kind of "mother figure."

      Nice chapter. So… I'm guessing the way to make the Sphinx cry is contained in the book? Either that or the birdman is gonna show up and show them how to make it cry.

      Dude, the opening has Akira Kushida, that's as manly as it gets.

      I suppose if you ignore the filler episodes and just focus on the canon stuff, it's passable. But overall I think Beel deserved much better treatment than what they're getting from Pierrot.

      This is apparently the ED song for Toriko that'll start next week:

      It's soooo awesome. I love this song.

      The song's kinda meh. I was hoping for something manlier than a bishonen kpop band, though I guess that's pretty unlikely to happen. Also, it seems kinda uncommon for an ED song to be revealed before the ED itself.

      Nice to see Beel bounce back after a bad week. And here's hoping that the launch of the anime will put Toriko into a permanent spot in the top 5.

      @Renegadesoul:

      Dois Sol
      Meruhen Ouji Grimm

      Are these new series?

      Yes. Dois Sol is a sports manga and Meruhen is a gag manga.

      @choperman:

      oh yeah I wanted to ask something, I reread the series and saw this

      http://www.mangareader.net/222-57723-15/beelzebub/chapter-78.html

      so my guess is that because it went from tattoo to that one shining symbol it means the shining symbol is stronger than the black tatoo

      so basically (with my train of thought) this
      http://www.mangareader.net/222-37705-18/beelzebub/chapter-35.html
      is greater than this
      http://www.mangareader.net/222-57194-19/beelzebub/chapter-75.html

      what do you think?

      Well according to this

      http://www.mangareader.net/222-15811-11/beelzebub/chapter-6.html

      the tattoos are an indication of how in tune Oga is with Beel. To me, the shining symbol seems to be a display of "energy" right before the user unleashes the attack.

      So perhaps the tattoos show how strong the contractor is, while the shining symbol shows how strong the particular attack is? In other words, I don't think you can really compare which one is greater since they are indicators of different things.

      One of the recent new series in WSJ.

      http://www.mangafox.com/manga/magico_iwamoto_naoki/
      http://manga.redhawkscans.com/?manga=Magico

      It's about a girl, Emma, who is cursed with the power to destroy the world, and the only way to seal it is to get married with the hero, Shion.

      I was kinda surprised by how much I liked it. And according to the cover of chapter 3, it's supposedly garnering some good support from the Jump readers. I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

      I'm aware they haven't cemented themselves in the magazine 100% due to them being new and all, but as far as I'm concerned if they aren't color pages they count for the time being.

      Though your statement seems to imply that this is just a matter of how people perceive it. I'll stick with my stand of Bleach being in 7th place.

      @RobbyBevard:

      Eiji has already called out the big weakness we spotted last week. Nanamine might get a solid idea from committee, but he's not going to make any sort of unique stand out voice like that. One you get past the premise there's not going to be anything personal or interesting there, and substance outlasts flash every time.

      Kubo is living proof that statement is false.

      ! From what I understand, Furuichi is trying to unite the gang by appealing to their school pride. He tells them that Oga and Kunieda were attacked by some students (ie. the demons) from another school (Furuichi makes up the name "Demon High"), and those students are planning to go after Ishiyama. So now the gang is all fired up to protect Ishiyama from those "demons."
