No one considered Koala? After the Sun Pirate arc with Big Mom?

I would like him to join though. A one-legged gladiator would be cool. But he'll most likely stay in Dressrosa serving the king.

Koala would be an interesting addition as she can use fishmen karate. They don't have an exclusive martial artist. But we haven't seen enough of her yet so I'm holding this thought first. And there's the problem of Jinbei joining too. I want to see both of them meeting each other soon when they deal with Big Mom.

I really don't like the idea of Bart joining. He will be the annoying fanboy and worships Luffy too much to be part of the same crew. Besides he is already a captain which will make him more likely to be allies with the Strawhats. He will be like Duval. This arc shows that Luffy will gain a lot of them thanks to the people introduced in the colosseum. I feel that if anyone were to join the crew at this stage of the game it needs to be a free agent who is not affiliated strongly to any group like Kinemon or even Rebecca. But she will probably be the Vivi of Dressrosa.

Well I think its possible for her to leave the revolutionary. Its not entirely impossible. Franky and Jinbei were already part of a group but they still are willing to leave them if it serves a better cause.

I expected Koala to make her reappearance in the Big Mom arc but she came early. Well, Big Mom appeared in this arc so technically it is part of Big Mom arc. Therefore I think Jinbei and the Sun Pirates will be making their appearance soon but will not be involved in this current arc same goes for Big Mom. They will probably be held back in some way. The chaos of Big Mom joining the fray with the upcoming revolution will be too much. Well if anyone could pull it off Oda can.

It would be a great if a human fishman karate user joins the crew. But Jinbei is already filling up that role. Unless….:ninja:

Koala is going to be a big contributor in the upcoming Big Mom arc to help free the Sun Pirates.

I knew Koala will return. The only human with the Sun Pirate mark will definitely have a big role in the future arc with Big Mom.

If you guys want 100% solid proof that character is going to join then of course we are not going to discuss anything here except off-topic points like what the last 2 pages have been. Jinbei is a given already. Points on Kinemon have all been squeezed out. So what else is there?

Nah just saying that being a captain may not be a hindrance to being a strawhat. Not that I'm supporting Bart.

This arc has lots of new characters and trying to find a way for every single one of them to join the crew would be tiring. Until a character has some good interactions with the crew, we shouldn't theorize how he/she would join for this arc. Any suggestions now would just be for superficial reasons. Personally, I'm going to keep track of Rebecca and Cavendish's progress.

I did suggest a couple of chapters ago that the living toys may be the result of a devil fruit. The power to turn humans into toys.

He certainly fits all the patterns. The only weird thing is how fast he got to Dressrosa. Akainu got the report from Smoker the day before and so he sent Fujitora. Is the Marine HQ that near to Dressrosa that you can reach overnight?

And I reckon someone in DD's crew can turn people into dolls and toys. Money's on the small girl.

In the top left of the bottom right panel, we can see the guy with the huge upturned mustache say, "There is, after all, no record of any man before him [Blackbeard] successfully consuming two Devil's Fruits."
Possible translation errors aside, the statement seems pretty clear. Taking into account that the speaker is an Elder Star speaking frankly to the other Elder Stars in what seems to be a private meeting, we can assume that there is no reason for him to be lying.
I'm betting that Blackbeard is special and is the first (known) person to consume two Devil's Fruits and live to tell the tale.

Oh forgot about that. I was only thinking about CP9 discussion. Well it most probably have to do with being a D. They have some kind of genes that enables them to consume 2 devil fruits. That means Luffy is also able to eat one more devil fruit and looking at recent developments, that other devil fruit may be the mera mera. Though I really wish that wouldn't happen.

What if dying after eating 2 devil fruits was a lie?

Anyone think Kaido is doing something bad in Wano hence the reaction from Kinemon and Momo? It could be linked to the "drive samurais out" idea with introducing technology.

That was the coolest den den mushi I have ever seen in One Piece.

I don't think Hancock will fit in well with the crew. She doesn't seem like a team player. I just can't see her travelling and fighting with the Strawhats. It just feels weird. Not to mention the constant fangirling over Luffy would be annoying.

If there is going to be another woman, I prefer her to be physically strong and not just reliant on ability or weapons. 2 of them are enough already, there's no need for more. The strawhats are known to have very unique crewmembers so a girl that's as strong or stronger than a man would be unique.

No, not necessarily. His haki may have been strong enough for Vergo to not be able to shrug off Law's attack.
That doens't necessary mean Law > Vergo in haki mastery, Law used his ability as well.

I see, so like Akainu slaps Vergo in the face using less haki than Vergo, Vergo's face is still going to melt.

So basically Law's armament haki is stronger than Vergo's? The one that has one of the strongest armament haki. Which makes Law like FKING STRONG.

Someone posted a picture in this thread of a badass werewolf swordsman. That's why some people are hoping Kinemon has a Kitsune mythical zoan fruit so its not only a fruit with an ability like a paramecia, but can change the user's form too. It's gonna be hard digging through the trash accumulated in this thread to find it though. Or maybe it was in the old thread.

I still think there are Zoan models for existing (mythical) creatures. If there's a zoan model for human than it would make sense. I mean there's a fruit for a Buddha Statue so having a fruit for a Fishman/Merman wouldn't be impossible. (Redundant, but not impossible.)

No its not dumb. Don't use that word so easily. Luffy just entered the New World. It would be perfectly understandable that he can't beat a Yonkou yet. I don't think its gonna be straightforward as Luffy just beating Big Mom like that. There's gonna be much more elements in the mix.

This makes me think that Doflamingo is going to take over Big Mom's position as Yonkou. I mean the Strawhats or any of the Supernovas aren't ready to take over that position.

Thought of it but in the end didn't see her as outstanding enough a character to join the strawhats. Her quirk could be giving naive comments about guys she see in the world outside her island but I guess that's it.

Sigh. Suggesting this idea apparently turned me into the "BOOBS FOR NAKAMA!" and "JINBEI IS FAT!" nerd. No I'm not. Truthfully I don't see her chance of joining likely because of Jinbei. It will only be one of them and it's obvious who is more favored. I just thought that the fact that she's the only human to have the Sun Pirate mark made her importance to the story very high.

To me, its highly likely that she will appear in the Sun Pirate arc with Big Mom. I've mentioned this in this site a couple of times now because I truly believe so. Now about her joining, I just see it as a possibility, albeit an unlikely one, since she's practically a clean slate now and Oda can turn her into anything. She may have even eaten a DF or something. The only problem for her joining is like I said Jinbei, because only one of them can join since both of them are associated to the Sun Pirates. So yes I know the odds are highly against her favor but I'm just hoping.

Is there a theory behind Zoro's ability to paralyze Monet? Was she just THAT scared? I feel like there's something else at work here. Even Tashigi couldn't believe he cut her without Haki. I wonder if it might be an offshoot of Emperor's Haki. Instead of passing out, she just freezes. She had a hell of a time getting back together too.

We still don't have a proper explanation of Asura. I'm really wondering what Zoro's powers really are. Its kinda different from Haki. Even his ability to hear the "breath of all things" is different from Observation Haki where you only predict or detect living being's actions not inanimate objects like falling rubble. This may be a sign of a completely different type of power set or an advanced type of haki.

So reading this thread, I just learned there exist people who thinks being a gentleman is being sexist. But some girls complain about the death of chivalry. Oh every since the 20th century, this topic is a major annoyance.

I don't think Jinbei dying is impossible. It can be used to show the power of the New World for example. I'm sure Oda can think of better reasons.

I don't know. It sounds good but if you think back, it is too similar to Crocodile being involved with Alabasta and corrupting that country. Knowing Oda, Wano country won't be an isolated arc and it will be connected with the overall story but not sure if I want DD to be that connecting element. Maybe a Yonkou? Kaidou sounds Japanese so he could be from Wano or something.

Some people really see what they want to see even if it's not true. Zoro's eye is clearly still shut in that picture.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but, could it be that Vegapunk "creates" dragons by feeding subjects with the artificial devil fruit he created? Firstly, how does he know the fruit is a failure if there hasn't been previous subjects to enforce that claim? The subjects ate the fruit, turned into a dragon but couldn't change back. This happened with multiple subjects as we can see that there were lots of dragons in Punk Hazard.

Secondly, it could be that after a period of time, the subjects lose their humanity and completely become a mindless dragon. If this were true, then it would be a race against time to save Momo from the same fate. The only way the strawhats could know of this is when CC is defeated, sees Momo and explains the situation. This could further support Momo joining the crew to search for a cure using a method suggested by CC maybe. CC could tell the Strawhats where Vegapunk is and Momo will tag along until they meet him. Once he meets Vegapunk and possible gets the cure and is able to turn in and out of the dragon form freely, then he can decide to join the crew proper.

Good catch there, didn't realize that. My guess would be Usopp or Kinemon would bring down the wall with their respective fire attacks. Although that just begs the question, why would Nami ask Usopp to leave if he has fire attacks that would be useful against a snow woman?

Because there's freaking Zoro. He should be enough to handle a logia.
