Doflamingo is an extremely powerful character and the major antagonist of the arc, no one is going to defeat him but Luffy.

Zoro has fought absolutely nobody of note, strength wise, post-timeskip.

You can't use what people expect to happen as a factor lol.

With all this in mind, and with the fact that Sanji and Zoro have always been portrayed as being as strong as each other for the entire series, I have to say to you sir…No. Just no.

Luffy lost to ceasar not because he was weaker but because of his df. Zoro got captured not because he was weaker but because he can't breathe underwater. Completely different from Vergo overpowering Sanji's leg without even using his bamboo, and again different from DD blocking Sanji's 2nd or 3rd best attack to date with just his arm and without budging and then proceeding to use a technique that would have killed him if not for Law.

No one said Sanji would beat DD, but for someone who told zoro to stay back and that he will be the one to save the crew, only to end up getting beat in 30 seconds and having to get saved instead, that doesn't make his 2 years of training look good at all.

Zoro at least managed to get out of Fujitora's hold on his own, while Sanji required Law's help in the same type of situation.

As for what people expect to happen, the reason people expect it is because of how bad Sanji has been performing in the New world.

It's true that Sanji and zoro have been portrayed equally for most of the series, and with wano coming up and zoro getting a power up, does it not make sense for Sanji to get one aswell in wano then? Rather than zoro get's stronger while Sanji gets nothing which would ruin the rivalry.

gear 2 is the super saiyan type power up for Luffy. It increases like every physical stat and from the looks of it post TS, it no longer has any side effects making it a free power up with no drawbacks. His complete reliance on it reminds me of how in dbz all the saiyans wouldn't fight with anything less than super saiyan starting from the android saga.

Luffy and Zoro are hardly struggling after the timeskip while Sanji was losing to Vergo, DD, and now people expect him to get owned by the Big Mom pirates. Even then, Zoro has wano arc to power up while Sanji (who needs a power up the most) has nothing. The mera mera will save Sanji's character rather than harm it.

I'm disappointed in the lack of use for COO compared to COA. Right now the 2 uses of COO are just locating stuff and dodging.

While COA has several uses so far like:
making barriers
invisible COA
black hardening COA including full body COA
applying COA to weapons and projectiles
adding elements(not sure about this one, depends on if those people adding fire or lightning to techniques was through COA)
and the biggest one is being able to bypass df defenses like logias which allowed non-df users to stand a chance at the top of the world

COO right now looks like the inferior haki to specialize in.

Blackbeard is included in the worst generation because he rose at the same time as them, thus Cavendish would never join his crew. Sanji will not eat the fruit, he has already stated that he only ever wanted one fruit, and we all know that it's not the MM.

So because of what Sanji said in thriller bark, you think he wouldn't eat another fruit? So you're telling me that if Violets fruit appeared infront of him with a piece of paper attached saying "eat this df and you can peek on women from across the ocean", or Mr.2's df instead "Touch a woman and transform into them whenever you want", that he wouldn't eat those fruits if given the chance?

The only way rebecca is eating the fruit is if Oda plans to showcase Blackbeard's ability to suck the fruit out of her without the cape this time. Of course this probably means she will die.

So for now Hakuba will eat it. Then after Burgess is defeated by Sabo, Blackbeard might recruit Hakuba into his crew. He will be more famous as a yonkou commander than as the captain of a no name crew.

If that doesn't happen, then the only option left is Sanji eats the mera mera.

Hakuba or sanji will eat it. Hakuba is closer for now, so he will first knock out sugar and then head to the colosseum to steal the fruit.

Well this should mean that we will be seeing the 7th shichibukai not too long from now, and before the reverie.

Well before the supernovas were created, I'm assuming Oda intended for the strawhats to fight all the yonkou. So I would prefer it that way. Besides, it seems that the supernovas are playing a bigger role than they should have. And i certainly wouldn't want the strawhats missing out on a few volumes or whatever while others fight what should have been their opponents, especially since they were already out of the picture for 2 years(real time) and now half the strawhats might miss out on the war on dressrosa as well.

I'm interested in seeing Violet's interaction with Luffy, zoro,and Kinemon. She is the closest thing to the Robin of this arc. The only member of the riku family who isn't a pacifist, is a doflamingo family member and assassin so probably won't be forgiven by marines. With Rebecca and toy soldier most likely staying on dressrosa, she may not be needed for taking over the kingdom.

Kinemon is a good option and will be travelling with the strawhats for 4 arcs (PH, dressrosa, Zou, and wano) for like a total of 200+ chapters and participating in 2 world changing battles along with them (war against DD, and war against Kaido). So it is extremely likely for him to get a bounty and even be labelled as a strawhat member by the marines. Momo needs to stay behind on wano though so depends on how that works out.

Those are the only 2 candidates I'm interested in this arc.

The M3 seem like they would be on the level of the middle yonkou commanders, not as strong as the strongest (marco, jozu, vista), but stronger than the weakest (atmos, curiel). They still have like 2 arcs until they fight a yonkou so if by then they are near top commander level, they should be able to beat the first yonkou crew.

Yeah Luffy met Violet at the end of last chapter. But Sanji still promised to help her, and then there is still the person she wants him to kill that hasn't been mentioned yet (although most people think it is DD, or 1 of his seats). So it just wouldn't make sense for Sanji to leave her there, especially when he finds out that she lied to him to get him off the island (I believe Kinemon will be contacting Sanji soon).

As for the sunny team vs Big Moms crew, Sanji challenged them so that means he is prepared to beat them with just the current members on the ship so I don't think he is planning to just escape. As for Nami, Brooke, and Chopper, not sure if they will also fight back or just want to run away.

Sanji won't get captured. He's still needed on dressrosa for the whole Violet story, and that 1 colourspread showed him with Bepo so I'm guessing they are supposed to meet soon. Plus i don't think they are going to whole cake island anytime soon as they were planning to head to Zou (and kinemon and the samurai were also planning to go there).

Why would she step on her dead moms wishes of not hurting others, and her whole character up to this point, by knocking everyone out in the colosseum? It's like saying Sanji should forget about Zeffs teachings and start using his hands to fight.

I'm expecting Sanji and crew to head back to dressrosa soon. His story with Violet is still incomplete and she should be in trouble soon as she was heading to the palace (DD should be there by now). Would be lame if he goes to zou and basically never sees her again.

also in the anime they used them to introduce a filler,if it was something tied to the canon story oda wouldn't probably allowed it.

The question about the rabbits were asked in an sbs but Oda ignored the question. I don't see why he would ignore it if it was about a pun. That's why for now I think it is relevant to the story. Not sure about the anime thought since I haven't watched it in a long time but I've heard of them doing certain things that would go against the manga so wouldn't really be surprised if they did it again.

Hmm, well there were those bunnies in the water, not necessarily snow back in chapter 700 i think. Monet just happened to have a technique using snow bunnies so it resembled that. Oda did ignore the question about it in sbs 71 meaning it is something he didn't want to reveal at that time.

I'm expecting Vergo to pull a king bradley and retake DD's castle against the revos and dwarf/toy army, maybe blow up a tank(probably Frankys) and change the tide of the fight. Plus Smiley's df is still on PH so he could have eaten it and got stronger.

As for Monet, the snow bunnies in the water tell me that she is alive and on the sunny atm, probably hiding in Sanji's refrigerator.

Yeah Vergo' coat arm went black when he punched tashigi but his pants remained white against Sanji. Although Sanji commented on him being like a mass of iron. Might be a mistake by Oda or he really didn't use COA hardening.

As for people listing random power ups, Sanji's going to eat a mythical smile zoan on Zou.

Monster trio will always be Luffy, Zoro, Sanji. It has been like that for 15 years, it's not going to change.
Jimbei belongs with Franky, Robin, and Brooke.

Take Dofla's top three commanders, they seem roughly equal in strength and status.

The m3 are younger and have been in the series since the beginning. Makes sense for them to have more potential, plus they have always been the 3 "monsters" of the crew and there is no reason Oda would change that, especially when he had the chance 2 days ago at FI and had Jimbei reject it since it was too soon for him to join. People just need to be patient for another 2 years or so for Jimbei to officially join.

He won't join until the m3 are well above him. He won't be in the crew if he is equal to sanji /zoro for even 1 arc.

Jinbe isn't joining until FI is safely under Luffy's flag instead of Big mom's. That will only happen once big mom loses. It is basically his arc to join.

Jimbei isn't joining until the arc when they fight and beat Big mom, which shouldn't be soon. By then the m3 should be at top yonkou commander level which is a good noticeable gap between them and jimbei. Right now he could still possibly be stronger than Luffy. I would say he joins in at least a month one piece time.

A character needs to have some connection with the main antagonist of the arc for them to be considered. Only ones that i could think of so far are rebecca, violet, bellamy, ceasar, as they have something to do with DD. Although right now I don't think any of them will be joining.

Unless sanji is going to destroy one of pekoms/tamago, there is no way Brooke is going to put up a good fight against the other one.

I could see Burgess getting defeated by Sabo, and then either a stronger BB commander or even BB himself shows up.

I'm expecting Sabo to beat Burgess, but i don't think he will also get to fight Diamante. I'm guessing that the chaos on the island will start before that and the tournament will get cancelled with Diamante leaving with the fruit.

I'd really hate if all Sanji can do is run away again. He's going to be fighting much stronger commanders soon enough so these 2 shouldn't be too much trouble. I'm sure sanji could beat some of whitebeards weakest commanders, probably even 2 of them.

I'm thinking Pekoms and Tamago may not even be commanders but are just the strong fighters in 1 of her divisions. I wouldn't be surprised if that ship is the real commander and threat, rather than those 2.

I lost some interest in the mera mera since it was taking so long for someone to eat it lol. But if I had to choose then I would want Sanji to eat it but right now he is moving further away from it so unless the fruit makes its way to zou/Sanji goes back to dressrosa, his chances don't look that good.

Koala would be good if she is willing to leave the revos for the strawhats. We already know some of her backstory, only thing left is how she became a slave, and how she joined the revo. Being a female and the only human to use fishman karate (so far) makes her a good candidate plus shes a close range fighter while the other 2 females in the crew are more long range. And unlike Rebecca/Violet, she doesn't look like Nami/Robin.

Sanji will eat a smile zoan if not the mera mera.

This makes me wonder if Sanji, Nami, Brooke, and Chopper will even get new bounties since the marines won't be witnessing them take out a yonkou ship (unless a marine ship just happens to be passing by). And since they won't be involved in the dressrosa fights the marines won't get a chance to see what they can do.

I dislike the idea of Kidd alliance showing up to save the Curlyhats. They should be able to fight and win by themselves, just like how Luffy, zoro, and the remaining strawhats will win their battle on dressrosa. It would also kind of step on Sanji's confidence in challenging Big Moms ship last chapter if he ends up needing to be saved. Plus this might be the only thing they have since they will be missing out on all the action at dressrosa.

Big Mom should still be on the cake island, although i expect to see her on a tv screen/den den mushi on that ship. The ship will most likely also remain intact since the plot needs that ship to deliver the bomb to Big Mom. However, Sanji and curlyhats should fight them and win since it may be the only role they have for rest of the arc.

Pekoms is strong but I doubt he is as strong as Vergo or the seats. He isn't even a confirmed commander yet. So imo Sanji beating him isn't something worth celebrating for. As for failing, if everyone wants to ignore his 2 losses then go ahead.

Beating just 1 of them won't make up for the fails. He's gotta take down both Tamago and Pekoms.

Violet still needs to interact with some more members before I can consider her again. Luckily Zoro, Kinemon, and probably Luffy are heading to the castle which was where she was heading. One thing that still hasnt been explained about her is how she is the only member of the riku family that isnt hated. I don`t think simply joining DD would cause the entire island to lose all of their hate towards her.

I just hope the Curlyhats will have more roles this arc after this big mom ship fight rather than Oda focusing only on the strawhats at dressrosa.

They just used coup de burst several chapters ago. And I'm sure Franky keeps a lot more cola since he needs it for himself and general franky.

Right Bepo is also a good option (Bear vs Lion turtle). But unless Zou is close, I can't see them surviving against that Ship for that long. I think Bepo could already be on his way since he should have Law's vivre card and see that he is near dead.

I can't see Chopper alone beating Pekoms. He has 330m bounty and haki and took out Caribou in 1 hit. So far only m3 level people like Luffy and Drake have done that.

Plus they need a few hands on the ship so that it won't get run over by that giant ship or destroyed by all those cannons. IMO i think that either Sanji has to beat both, or Ceasar will get freed and has to help out against 1 of them.

I always put Tamago and Pekoms as the Brooke and Chopper of Big Moms crew, so a good amount below her best commanders like Bobbins, 3eyes, etc, but not the weakest commanders. That said, I believe Sanji could take 1 down, and put up a really good fight against both. He might need some help from Ceasar to win against both. The rest of the curlyhats need to keep the sunny safe.

They probably need Brooke, Chopper, and Nami to protect the ship from cannons,fodders, and to steer it so it doesn`t get run over by the big ship. Sanji might be on his own in this one.

But the marines won't be around to witness Sanji taking out the yonkou ship. So possibly no bounty increase.

Ya but Violet's life is on the line which is more important than the mera mera. She probably wouldn't have betrayed DD if not for Sanji so he is pretty much responsible for what happens to her. I'm thinking that after fighting Big Moms ship, Sanji would get a call from Kinemon(only person to see Sanji with Violet and is also heading to the castle), and then Nami, chopper, brooke take the sunny to Zou while Sanji flies to Dressrosa. It just wouldn't make sense for Sanji who was involved with her since the beginning of the arc to just leave her there when she finally needs his help.

So with both Violet and DD heading to the castle, she's almost guaranteed to need rescuing within the hour(one piece time). I can't see Sanji just abandoning her and heading to Zou after promising to save her.

There are too many monsters to fight this time. How are they going to win this?
