When I saw that Alex retweeted this, I was surprised, because one of my friends that went to school with me last year made this animation. Pretty cool though.
So I got around to finally playing and beating the first Phoenix Wright. It was a great game and I loved ever second of it. I'm currently on the second one, Phoenix Wright: Justice for All. I want to also start the Professor Layton series. Anything I should know prior to playing it?

I love all the Mario RPGs. Partners in time is probably my least favorite while Paper Mario: TTYD is my most favorite. The only one I haven't played is Sticker Star so I have no real opinion on it. Partners of Time has the best story in M&L in my opinion but the gameplay is a bit lacking, to be honest.
My dream would be;
Fat Lil Mac from Captain Rainbow, gets a letter similar to Animal Crossing; then its a 80's inspired training montage. Then it cuts to the other Smashers battling in the boxing ring, with a door opening there he is in silhouette; he walks towards camera revealing himself in his prime. Then cue normal trailer.
That'd be a pretty awesome trailer. It seems like Sakurai is a lot more levelheaded about development of this Smash, besides his ongoing pain. Especially considering that he's basing the game for people with some type of fighting experience but still anyone can pick up.
If Lil' Mac is indeed in the game, I wonder what his introduction tailer will be.

Looks absolutely amazing. I can't believe the series is already ten years old.
The style, while still being sprites looks amazing. Many people, like me, were confused if they were 3D models or just really detailed sprites. Being the latter plus having so many features from all the pervious games and Yoko proving, once again, she's an amazing composer, this may be the best M&L game to date.
The only disappointing fact(for Americans) is, despite the first two M&L game coming to the U.S and BiS coming to the U.S second, Dream Team is coming to America last, roughly a month after the rest of the world gets their copies. Sucks.
So is anyone getting Mario and Luigi Dream Team? I love the Mario and Luigi franchise and the latest one looks like it could be the best. There's been uploading of musical samples and about ten have been put up. I feel like this going to have the best musical of any Mario and Luigi game and maybe Mario in general.

The games in the titles have been set back from before March to "first half of the year." I'm guessing between April and June instead of early year now.

I don't have a DS hack cartridge but a friend does have it and I have used it to try games out and buy them later(I own a lot of DS games), I did hack my Wii(since Europe has only shitty games) and PSP but I do own games for both, as for the 3DS I only want the region lock to be unlocked because I'm used to buy japanese games and 3DS has great ones that most likelly aren't coming out here most likelly.
I agree with taking off region lock though. Nintendo needs to stop doing it. They even went as far as region locking the Wii U's Gamepad.
Looking forward to some hacking, I would be happy with just a region lock hack so I can play some japanese games.
Hopefully not rampant piracy. Then we'll be in a similar situation as with the DS, Wii, and PSP.

I really enjoyed this manga's over the topness. Really was fun to read. The only problem I had was Hikyou's seemingly ass pulls(More on the fence about it but it wasn't too appealling) and stated above, the pacing. Hopefully this mangaka does more work in the future. Also, die Takeshi.

Some great footage of Pikmin 3. Seriously, the visual effects are amazing and the fact you perform multiple tasks at one time is great.
I'll probaby end up getting NSMBU and BLops 2 for the Wii U for christmas and maybe Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Unless that Yoshi Land rumor shines true, that's what I'm going for.

My favorite mini games on Nintendo Land is Zelda's Battle Quest, Metriod Space Shoot(Both games get ball to the wall hard, especially Metriod.), GW's Electric Boogaloo, And Pikmin Fliptastic Adventure. The rest I don't really play a lot of, like Yoshi's Fat Day and Donkey Kong Raging Crash Course or are amazingly fun with friends.
I heard that 1080p and 60 fps thing but I'm kind of skeptical. I mean if they were properly optimized I don't doubt it could run say Batman Arkham City that way but I wonder how long that'll last. It's going to be around 5-7 years and games are just going to keep evolving. And it apparently doesn't support DX11 which I think is a mistake. We need to move on from DX9.
Well, like you've said, once we get out of portsville and developers start making more original games, we'll see if the 1080p 60FPS actually holds up. I thought the Wii U atleast supported DX10?
Edit: Apparently, it does support DX10 but this source is from August so no clue if it was recently debunked http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-08-30-how-powerful-is-the-wii-u-really. Still disappointing it doesn't support DX11. I bet 720 and PS4 won't though.

I think we have really good graphics right now, but most games on the consoles right now run at 720p, and upscaled look pretty blurry. And lots of jaggies. Max Payne 3 is one of the better looking games I've played.

If we could get that level of graphics quality but in a less linear game I would be happy. Obviously this doesn't apply to games that want their own style. I think we should concentrate on better AI, larger levels, and more things on screen at a time right now though. That's what I'm hoping Valve is doing with their new engine and hopefully HL3.
I believe it was confirmed that Wii U can play games in 1080p at 60 FPS. This does NOT apply to Epic Mickey 2 at all. Shit has framerate issues everywhere. And it seems to be only the Wii U's edition of it.(I've heard about other games having them as well on the Wii U but I've heard the opposite about them as well. I guess you've got to play it yourself really or watch videos or something.)
I agree that graphics have pretty much peaked and the only things developers really to focus on is larger levels and enemies, more enemies on the screen at one time and non-retarded AI(Another one of Epic Mickey 2's flaws).

The RAM, like the CPU, is clocked slower than that in the PS3 or 360. RAM has clock speeds too. 360 had 512MBs, very little of which was used for the OS, and PS3 had 512MBs as well, but it was isolated 256 for the GPU, 256 for the CPU. And again, very little of it was used for the OS.
Edit: WiiU uses a GPGPU which has some sort of CPU on it as well. So it has about one and a half CPUs plus the GPU. Apparently.
Alright, thanks for informing me about the RAM speed bit(not really too good on technology but always willing to learn). Yeah, I mentioned that the GPU is a GPGPU so it relieves some stress from the main CPU.
I really loved this chapter, as epic as a One Piece chapter could get. Luffy is really putting his feelings into those punches and Cesar can do nothing but just sit there and try to scare him into begging for forgiveness, which, of course won't be happening.
Law's speech was well executed and I really enjoyed him proving to Doflamingo that the old era is going to be overtaken by the newcoming pirates by (seemingly) taking out his strongest man. The mountain cut was just breathtaking as well. All in all, a 10/10 OP chapter. Hopefully we can keep this momentum.
Edit: And yeah, it has 2GBs of RAM but that's also slower than what's in the PS3/360. 1GB of RAM seems to me too much for the OS anyway (1.5:.5 would have made more sense to me), but I didn't make the console.
I could be wrong but I believe the 360 only had 512MBs of RAM which the OS had to share with games but I don't get what you mean by it being 'slower' than what's in the 360 and PS3. Unless you're still talking about CPU.
It's not much worse, but I don't know much about it, but having a lower clock speed makes me believe that it is worse, even if not much so. So starting with the WiiU we have the opposite of this gen, a strong GPU but weaker CPU. I'm interested in just what the WiiU is capable of, but we'll have to get past the ports we're getting now to see, if anyone ever bothers to take advantage of what it's capable of.
It's not that bad because, like I and others in the comment section said, the CPU Is much more efficient due to being based on a much recent model compared to the 360 or PS3. It isn't anything to exactly brag about but there is no reason for anyone to bag on it that much.(not saying you were but just in general). To me, it seems that developers, such as Metro's development team are just complaining and isn't exactly trying too much but that's me. Plus the fact that the Wii U has 2 GBs of RAM, 1 for games and 1 for the OS is great.
