So, this will most likely be an unwanted opinion and I might be part of the minority but what if the next recruit is someone who was once allied to the marines (I'm referring to X Drake). Much ala Nico Robin in terms of being an enemy during the Alabasta saga: Drake, a character who is currently affilliated to the WG but who seems to have his heart set on true justice might make a decision to turn the tables over the long haul. Among other things, making his story the reverse of Coby's has a delightful tone to it. A WG official who decides to rebel after noticing that not all the shines is gold and that absolute justice can be blind. At the very least Drake might stick around with the Strawhats or Law. Peace…

RE: Chapter 973: The Kozuki Clan
What a satisfying chapter! Seeing the final Scabbard being fleshed out was a much needed addition; curiously enough having his second persona around for this long adds to the depth of his character and the chapter. That's fine story-telling indeed in terms of execution and timing. Kudos to Oda.
The next step is "sailing" to Onigashima. By the way, I don't believe they will sail there. They will FLY over the stormy sea instead and nobody will see them coming! remember that scene with kids adding hot air balloons to their ships to have them fly during the city festivities? From all the strawhats the one who actually got to see this was Sanji; and we know that strategy and Sanji go side by side. It was pretty subtle and almost innocuous and a nice touch that enriches the world. But it has more to it….

RE: Chapter 971: Sentenced to Boil
Hey guys, I'm going to leave this "shot in the dark" prediction here. It has a pretty small chance of happening but there's one none the less. Maybe the person who has been forshadowed is not Luffy himself but someone who by chance or fate ended up sailing with him. Of all the Strawhats there are 2 distinct candidates. Who we really don't know their provenance.
let's start first with the ones we can rule out–> Robin, Franky, Ussop, Brook,Sanji, Chopper, Jimbei and even Luffy. The thing with them is that we kind of know all these characters lineage to an extent and some of them have even had their past expanded upon.. i.e. Robin, Franky and Sanji. I don't really think Chopper being originally a reindeer would be sent 800 years forward into the future. That leaves us with 2 of the starting crew members. Zoro and Nami.
What we know of them is pretty minute compared to the rest. I know someone will bring kokoyashi village but don't forget that Nami was adopted by Bellemere and she was found in the middle of a war; something akin to a "Spoils of war" so she became an "orphan" at age who knows but still a baby. That opens a huge IF there.Nami has 2 distinct traits her mapping and the understanding of weather, currents and so on; plus she seems to be extremely sensitive to changes in the atmosphere, a compass of sorts.
Then there's Zoro whose past if even more cryptic. We only know he had a friend and rival (Kuina) and that apparently she died as a result of a mishap. Pretty vague. For Nami and Zoro not to have a proper flashback considering how extremely prominent they are in this story seems a bit out of left field.
What about Luffy? From what I've read so far Luffy is more of a catalizing agent. His influence on Shirahoshi and Vivi along with his immense Charisma is what will make the cogs turn; but he might not be the center shield but a sharp jaavaline. Now, there's the will of D. Which by all means might refer to a whole new race altogether or a special family, in which case its surname ended up being abreviated to such an extent only D remains and nothing can be traced back.

RE: Chapter 970: Oden Vs Kaido
Now that Teach is on the move I believe he will attack Totoland while the territory is weakened and Mama isn't there . Why would he attack Totoland? The Ryo poneglyph is the answer. Somehow I feel that BM won't really be dealt with this arc; she will either be stalled or barely defeated. During the aftermath however she will go back to her Queendom only to find it in Ruins with another quater of her grandkids out of comission. This Will enrage her to no end and she will set out again to exact revenge on Teach much like Ace did. We know what happens after:ninja:. (Teach ends up winning by some foul means and eats the soul soul fruit) lol. Behold as he becomes the proper cerberus.

RE: Chapter 970: Oden Vs Kaido
My suspicions of the wrinkled old o-baaaa san, that instructed Robin as a geisha , being the traitor are climbing. Now that I think about it, she wouldn't exactly classify as a traitor but a spy. We just had a mini cold war between our heroes and the beast pirates, If Robin is in charge of espionage on Luffy's side what makes us think that Kaido doesn't have his own? Specially being as low key of a character like wrinkled ol' lantern lady is.
-
RE: Chapter 964: Oden's Adventure
Maybe someone has pointed out this already but the crescent moon on Tokis outfit seems quite similar to the ankle tattoo representing the kozuki followers. I wonder what the story about that mark is.

RE: Chapter 954: Like a Dragon Given Wings
Anyone want to weigh in on how many of those Numbers freaks there are? I'm betting 9 or 10 depending on if the 'Ace' is part of it, otherwise it'll probably correspond to the numbered cards in a suit, 2-10. Don't know if Kaido has his own 'Joker' or '10' equivalent in his own crew or if he allowed the title of Joker to be held by Doflamingo despite not being directly affiliated. He has the Jack, King and Queen accounted for with the Calamities but they're worth as much as a '10' card in most games so maybe there's one more special member of the Beast Pirates that holds a high rank like theirs. Or the 10 would be the leader of those Numbers monsters.
I would count the Ace in. Not only that but if it follows some of the most popular card games world wide, there is a high chance that the ACE is the second in command of the beast pirates. Something similar to what happened with Katakuri being revealed late during Big Mama's arc. We know that the king holds a high position in almost any game, yet hardly ever the king beats the ace. I feel there are characters yet to be introduced in this already packed story arc.

RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
I don't think the villagers became more aggressive they just became stronger. So while it might give Mermaid Princess a boost either in range or her ammount of control I doubt it would influence wether or not she make the sea kings attack.
To be fair I wasn't addressing her as becoming more aggressive. But the sheer size of the sea kings (SK as of now cause I'm lazy) is enough to destroy a town at least partially by just standing on it. For comparison's sake take Sodomma or Gommorrah and compare them to one of the SKs. Now think about their rampage and destruction at Ennies Lobby. Obviously their size can't compare to the SKs. That being written if Shirahoshi can't control her power as of now, the danger of a 100% release is Legit. It is clear that the sea kings are sentient beings and judging by Oda's depiction of them akin to Dragons in the sense of wisdom and intelligence, yet summoning such power where there is already a power pool would unleash nothing below chaos of the highest caliber.
On a slightly different note the large number of factions involved in the Reverie reminds me of a sleeping bomb praying to be ignited by a foolish traveler. I'm looking at you dwarves…
-
RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
Looking into the Reverie, I find it interesting that Bello Betty is not part of the infiltration mission. Her sole presence might have put Shirahoshi in danger. I mean if Bello Betty's cheer cheer power releases the latent power that someone has and Shirahoshi was able to summon those massive Sea Kings out of a moment of distress what would happen if all her power is suddenly activated by the cheer cheer fruit? am I reading too much into it?

RE: Chapter 893: 36th Daughter of the Charlotte Family - Flampe
At this point I wouldn´t call Katakuri a villain but more of an Antihero. The Villain here is Big Mom. She has her crew who follows her due to respect, intimidation, fear or what not whereas Katakuri has acted more as a Bodyguard so far. The scenes during the wedding and persecution are a testament to this, yet his morals may seem to not be aligned completely to those of Linlin. Then again Linlin wants a place where there is peace and people can enjoy a meal together. The concept becomes remarkably complex as it is explored further, as her twisted and wicked methods are on the boundaries of being pure evil. This arc seems to portray what happens when people with good intentions (at least originally) make the wrong choices, are pressured by their surroundings or have been walled out due to the innertia of an overwhelming power (food cravings a powerful family and so on )

RE: Best/Worst Moments of 2017
@Shobu:
Yep xd no problem there.
When Sanji dodged Katakuri's bullet, the very first instance for Katakuri to react like that was cause he saw Pudding falling on her knees… so the battle between those two could perfectly continue, and that it would've been interesting, without a doubt. The problem lies that Katakuri didn't continue for one reason, to alert Big Mom about Luffy coming out from the cake, and then the spotlight went to him for the cliffhanger needed to end the chapter.
That is why, Luffy is the equation of failness, he stopped a situation much more better than the one he was doing. Not the situation per se, must add, but the entire chain of events that were needed to make it, and the events forecoming too.
Thank you for your thorough explanation, it served me plenty to overcome my ignorance. Now, After reaching a mutual ground of enlightenment I could argue that since our COO is not as advanced as Katakuris we would have been unable to foresee the caliber of such other path let alone its virtue (Katakuri and Sanji going against each other head on), hence labeling Lufy as a fail by proxy is unfair and bigoted to boot. Katakuri threw a projectile at Sanji (beans or what not) because he was far away and in a tough angle to get another attack going without it being too noticeable. But it wasn't Luffy per se that got in his way, you can blame Katakuri's future sight ability. In words of Perospero " The future-seeing man is quite busy" and in this instance it played against him.

If you find good the path of ignorance and mediocrity, good for you buddy. I won't stop you, nor your planet
In your reply you didn't even tell me the reason why they are related. So how am I suppose to get out of my blissful ignorance if my alien comrades don't give me a hand?
. Can you please trace the path as to why those events are linked? I would appreciate the effort immensely

RE: Best/Worst Moments of 2017
@Shobu:
Cause the equation about what the best and worst, without a doubt, Luffy is in the worst group.
Lately, everything that Luffy does, it makes the plot go for the worse, and there you have it putting a scenario where mah boi Katakuri couldn't do a thing to prevent it.
So, even Katakuri greatness can't take over Luffy + Sanji failness. What planet are you from buddy? on The planet where my kin and I watch OP these event are not correlated. It may be related to the intergalactic wave length and jet lag. Yes, that must be it. Your explanation got distorted half way through. Sorry m8 but I honestly can't understand the correlation

RE: Chapter 890: Big Mom on Top of the Ship
My dear friends I believe this to be a good time as any to bury the weakling trio epitome. They are new world pirates and as such Chopper, Nami or Ussop would easily shine in remote far away islands. They are masters of their crafts, but they are still HUMAN and HUMANE (The irony wih chopper (Reindeer)) So they will always opt to do the safest move instead of confronting the plague veermin guy who decimated 5 countries.Thwy have common sense but apparently that's not appreciated in manga somehow…

Nice question there.

Katakuri is eating nothing less than a King Kong Gun.
What about this…
1. Luffy will enter Baka Mode which will lead to katakuri being unable to predict his next move
2. Then In Baka Mode, Baka Luffy will enter Baka G4
3. In Baka G4 Luffy is an unpredictable Baka monster
4. Katakuri get's baka punched and baka K.Od//I cringed each time I read this but .....:ninja:

RE: Chapter 888: Lion
Couldn't Chopper be considered a Mink though? Minks are just sentient animal humanoids. Unless genetically there is something else special about them, couldn't we argue Chopper eating the DF transformed him from animal to Mink?

RE: Chapter 886 : This Ish The Way I Live
So after looking at that astonishing color spread I have this increasing desire of having Sanji eat an armadillo zoan fruit. I'm perfectly aware that my wish is fanfiction but, Oh, the craziness it implies makes me drool from only thinking about it, which leads me to this question.
Will the straw-hats get a hold of at least 1 devil fruit throughout this series and will any of the non devil fruit users ever eat one?
I understand how extremely scarce and rare DFs can be, but One Piece having a recurring theme of being devil-fruit driven gets somehow stomped by the many devil-fruit users that have been presented against the bunch of the DF's that have been shown. Am I the only one with this impression?
-
RE: Chapter 886 : This Ish The Way I Live
There might be a loose neuron in my brain but I found Brulee's honesty creepily endearing . Nowadays Twig-girl is getting used to snatch 'piggyback rides' around the mirror world… lol
-
RE: Chapter 885: Grrruuumble
That was the case, no? Big Mom was fresh off of chasing the Straw Hats, she saw Nuts Island nearby and headed to it. The "natural progression" you're talking about here doesn't really exist in fiction because the protagonists are not going to fail to wind up in an interesting situation.
Well nothing can unfold if Luffy's in a completely different location from his enemies. If Luffy doesn't go somewhere that affects the plot then there is no plot.
I think that you might have misunderstood what I've been trying to say. If, the mirrors link to only a nearby area, sure I don't see any problems with this. But Luffy might probably end up getting to Cacao island by 'mirror' (first time I'm using them as transportation lol) -it's not as it is out of question that he might still go through a mirror to get through but you get my point. The Mirror world covers a huge area.
I'm not saying that the mirror luffy took should have taken him outside of Big Mom's territory or what not. But for instance what if for example he would have ended up on Cheese island instead? He still has the pressure and he still needs to reunite with his friends one way of another, but he wouldn't have Big mom about to smash the floor of where he landed with a humongous peanut-shaped building . Even if he landed on Nuts island he warped through the single mirror that leads to be immediately found ( I've considered that if Brulee was indeed keeping the other side informed it's not too far off for this outcome, but seeing how she was within a mirror when she mentioned that she overheard the SH's conversation keeps me questioning her need to be directly in front of the mirror gate to the place or just up and about the mirror network- I question that even further if she communicated that via denden mushi) -
RE: Chapter 885: Grrruuumble
I don't think Luffy would have called it a convenience. This is probably the worst case scenario for him, lol, he wanted to get away from his opponent for 10 minutes and now he has three people on his tail and he can't use Haki.
Statistics don't really work like that in fiction. Just because you're statistically more likely to land somewhere that isn't plot-relevant doesn't mean the character should go there because…come on, it isn't plot relevant. Do you know any work of fiction where the protagonists just get into mundane situations because it was more likely than events occurring that together lead to something interesting? I mean, sure, it's not so good when the heroes randomly happen upon something that solves their problems. But, as I said before, that's pretty much the opposite of what's happening to Luffy.
You are right about my word choice. Convenient is not the best selection.maybe contrived would carry my message better..I understand if others might find it natural and I'm not implying that it's an outright error or bad writing. However it does feel too much as if fate wanted everything to unfold this way fate being Oda obviously instead of a natural progression. Someone stating that Big Mom went to Nuts Island, just because Lufy would appear later instead of saying that she went there because it's the closest Island at hand that could harbour some food it's a prime example of this.
As for fiction examples, I can't think about many at the moment, but I'm sure there are some out there. My fear is that instead of portraying Big Mom as this massive ruler with so many islands, it shows that everything unfolds in 3 towns and a forest.
-
RE: Chapter 885: Grrruuumble
These coincidences are things you see in any story. Characters are never gonna meet someone or wind up somewhere that's irrelevant to them.
Even so warping through random mirror X with Twig-chan's power has the same chance of taking Luffy to any of the other Tart islands including WCI as much as Nut's Island. In fact it would be more probable for him to get stuck in any tart. (It wouldn't be irrelevant as he would still be in Big Mom's territory) What I'm trying to point out is the array of conveniences that start to pile up one after the other… Not that many and it's still nitpicking from my part, but still
Edit: Not only did he arrive to Nut Island. But he landed in front of Bigmom+Perospero+Amande... Come on
Edit 2: That might also mean that Brulee has been moving meticulously around mirror by mirror to keep her family somehow informed but seeing how she was sitting there doing literally nothing I kind of doubt she was doing so after she passed the information on via denden mushi a couple of chapters ago

RE: Chapter 885: Grrruuumble
Over 40 husbands to meet they meet pound
Over 30 Islands to land on Luffy lands on the Island that is being attacked and just in front of BM, Perospero and AmandeToo many coincidences. Though I'm loving Twig chans powers being used as scapegoat deus exmachina I'm out of here.
That being said, Where might Ceasar be? We've seen the firetanks, the germa kingdom, the sun pirates and Pound but Ganster Gastino went off his own way and he has dissappeared into nothingness.
I'm glad to see compote, who knows if she has a devil fruit and what it might do. On the other hand I truly don't care that much about smoothie though, I believe she has been downplayed cause her df might be in Robins realm, a DF that might end a fight in an instant if the opponent is not careful. -
RE: Chapter 884: Who
I'm not so sure what's going on with the discussion at hand but I would like to point out that there hasn't been an outright claim to Big Mama being inferior to kaidou as a Yonkou. Even if kaidou has a 500 units smile army. Please consider the following questions and scenarios.
1. Are they really that special?
2. In what instances have the gifters been shown to be a level above the chesspiece soldiers Big Mum has?
3. Are the gifters elite fighters at all? If not, what can a regular dude with a camel zoan achieve? besides surviving in a dessert for a couple of days without water.Yes, I understand that there are carnivores as well, but with 500 species I'm pretty sure we might see a kangaroo a Gorilla and who knows what other herbivores and omnivores. (I'm not saying they can't be powerful but you get the gist)
4. If BM is said to be unstoppable during her Tantrums would kaido be able to stop her? (I just want to have those 2 pit together in a Roman arena and battle to death at their best (or worst in Big Mum's case). -
RE: Chapter 884: Who
Has anyone figured out the point of Pound yet?
Speaking of pound. Over 40 or more husbands to meet and the crew stumbles upon Lola's/Chiffon father. Convenient much? I'd say yes. Now, what has happened with the others? have they been disposed of? is there an anti Big MUm society brewing in the shadows which strives to take down Big Mama? or are all of them as lame as pound:blink:. What did Linlin see in this guy in the first place? there must be a catch, maybe he's filthy rich because frankly I can't see Linlin harrassing this guy for his genes. Which leads me to, how on earth did she manage to have all these kids? I bet she's single and virgin while everyone was adopted:ninja:

RE: Chapter 884: Who
@.access:
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed that we got this big reveal about Katakuri dodging Luffy attacks by simply doing what Akainu already did many arcs ago. I wonder if Oda forgot he had used that already since he is making such a big deal out of it (I can understand it being new to Luffy, but it seems like Oda is expecting it to be new to the reader too).
The difference is that. Akainu is a Logia while Katakuri is a paramecia. For logias, changing the shape of their body comes naturally. I believe that paramecias would not only need to be awakened but would also need an insane COO to achieve such feat. I think the stress is over (hey this is what an awakened paramecia can do)
Edit: Plus oh if you think COO is the least powerful of the haki attributes… think again
-
RE: Chapter 884: Who
I think that we have seen 2/3 of this fight and Luffy will win it in time because he will use Mirrors to contact people all around Big Mom territory and badmouth Katakuri. Katakuri will loose his cool and Luffy will have a chance to land some really heavy attacks. I would love if he could return the favor to Katakuri and grab him using Snake Shot(in Gear Fourth it would be proably named King Kobra) to get a hold on Katakuri and beat him up.
I agree with almost everything you've said, but Luffy has a move called python already right? (Though I think he has his hand clenched as in a punch) will he go over different snake families? If so, I'd love to see a coral or an anaconda reference
-
RE: One Piece Chapter 882: Outside of a Yonko’s expectations
I honestly don't think Katakuri will be defeated. What I believe is that Luffy will take advantage of brulee's ability one more time. If they actually wanted to they could leave Luffy wondering around in the Mirror world till he dies of hunger, but that's not what's happening. Something similar is what I think might happen, Luffy will find an opening to scape with Brulee, and Katakuri plus the rest of the forces will be locked temporarily in the mirror world. I mean KAtakuri can be as though as they come, but he's no portal man, The mirror world is the ultimate prison!

RE: One Piece Chapter 881: Room of Waves
God, Rabiyan must be a jet carpet. cuz he flew all the way to Cacao Island in what an hour? that or the sunny is one of the slowest vessels in the world… We'll make it to Cacao Island in 10 hours using our fastest speed (Nami).. Maybe there are portals in Totland connecting Islands. This is truly inconsistent...:wassat:

RE: 807-808: ''A Tragic Duel - Luffy vs. Sanji''
@Miss:
Yeah that one was one of the only two shots of her in the whole thing. Whereas Germa got like, what? 3 or 4? And actually animated.
You can focus on the wedding (which is where the focus SHOULD be, perhaps more so than this Luffy vs Sanji thing) without wandering into spoilers. In terms of visuals, this opening needed to be more like the Impel Down one: fantastical/dream-like, but also dark and foreboding.I disagree wholeheartedly with the bold section. The whole reason of the WCI ''infiltration'' mission is to retrieve Sanji nothing more nor less. Sanji's first approach of denial is without a doubt one of the main highlights of the arc as it's an ' in your face' hitch to the rest of the crew. Luffy said so himself, Sanji CAN get married he doesn't care, (wedding or no wedding) but the sencho (captain) needs to know if he decides to leave the crew and his reasons for doing so.

RE: Chapter 877: I'm Not That Sweet
But only like 15 matter
Pudding, chiffon, praline, brulee, opera, mont-d'or, cracker, smoothie, katakuri, perospero, daifuku, oven, galette, moscato, compoteAnd by matter I mean they are named, because praline, gallette, smoothie and compote have as of yet zero plot relevance.
I think you might be missing a couple here or there. Amande, Noble croc (Even i he is just a special homie), randolf (Even if he's a homie), Pekoms (a warrior not a son), Count niwatory (Another warrior), the kids with the balloons, the sadistic girl with knives who wanted to kill them or dissect a teddy bear or whatever. Panda-girl, scarecrow-man, giant hat, the minister who was demoted or killed, Streussen (not a son but still family-little grandpa maybe?). Her crew is indeed impressive….
Edit: Bobbin and his sleeping bell.....
-
RE: Chapter 877: I'm Not That Sweet
There is something that I sincerely cannot compute with the logic of the cake theory and execution.
First, the SH's are being pursued by BM and most of her crew. Regardless of her mental state she still has monumental reasons to be crossed with, fight against and punish the SHs. Just look at how they are all running away from her while she chases relentlessly.
Baking a cake and coming back to spoon it into Mama's mouth seems extremely dangerous. I believe my qualm is related to who will be the one in charge of presenting the cake. By no means should the straw-hats be that entity as it wouldn't really make sense. -
Do you honestly think that if the SH's go '' See, we're sorry for destroying your castle, cake, wedding and murdering plans, here why not have this yummy cake as compensation ? :D'' Big Mum will hug and send them off to sea with her blessings? Maybe they will leave the cake somewhere as bait to distract her while they run in the opposite direction? I would be okay with this. In any case, why not leave her in this state? It wouldn't undermine the Yonkou status, but more importantly it would cement what happens when the SH's are involved or are fought against which is chaos. If I could choose a word to describe the crew that might be it. 'Chaotic'
-
RE: Chapter 876 Pudding coincidentially appears
The truth is I fell for Pudding this chapter. She's acting like Chopper when he gets complimented… He has satisfaction all over his face but acts 'rude-cute' to fight against it, only that in her case is love . I agree with those saying she doesn't have a split personality, but her psyche has been damaged, and the cure is Sanji. As cliche as the trope might sound, having a one time only cliche arc in an 800 chapter manga is not too bad, I'm kind of rooting for them. Poor lady, she has fallen for Sanji heels to toes.. good for you buddy.

How to keep OP followers happy?
If the fight lasts for 3 pages–>'' It's not long enough! another short-cut and cut out. Bummer! the pacing has been heavily affected! nuuoooooooo!''
If the fight lasts for 4 pages-->''How dare you Oda. Why are you playing with our time by dragging on this arc. Aghhh I wanna see the next next next arc already, this one is getting stagnated! nuoooooooo!''.
Seriously?.. hahahahah
-
RE: Chapter 870: Parting
@Joy:
Compare all that to the other Yonko.Kaido falls from the heavens uninjured,he smacks 2 goons way past the freaking island,WB literally shakes the world with every move of his etc.The Admirals also have shown incredible stuff.Big Mom simply hasn't.
Wait, what? Big Mom has the power to manipulate souls to a degree, not to mention her ridiculous constitution. If she had tried to force Bege's fear out I wonder if it had worked. It didn't with Jimbei and I think that is one of the deterrents why she didn't use that power, but as she is she is literally able to manipulate the weather, she has Coc and who knows what other crazy stuff can she do with her fruit. For me she's a pretty badass Yonkou right there. Given, not visually intimidating always but…

RE: Chapter 869: Under Siege
Maybe not necessarily one of them, but BM might indeed need to be encouraged (I suppose) to be more mad about something other than the betrayal. Perhaps she needs to be reminded of the ruined wedding cake :ninja:

RE: Chapter 869: Under Siege
Well given that the Rumble Balls seem to create variation from the normal Zoan transformation, there's not reason to believe it would effect her at all.
Or anyone other than Chopper, for that matter.
I was under the impression that rumble balls altered the wave lengths in which devil fruits operate.
At this point this is a mere conjecture on my behalf, but why would signals hailing from paramecia or loggia fruits be different from those given by zoan fruits? I get that the ''end result'' is different (being this the abilities given to the user by the fruit).
I'm not implying that rumble balls work on the ''end result'' itself. On the contrary their effects seem to be more primordial, taking place in deeper levels. As I understand it ''the RB perturbs and acts upon the conduit through which the ability is transferred from the devil itself to the user'' , I'm speaking about the reaction that the users experience when they activate their fruit by sheer will. When an ability is triggered there is probably a command given through a wave ( make that 2 waves) one neurological expressing the willingness of the user calling the devil to use the fruit and a second wave responding to such a call in which all the information for the ability to manifest itself will be comprised and deployed. Under this light why wouldn't mochi change consistency as a result of Katakuris' devil fruit wave length being tampered with or why wouldn't rubber change one of its properties due to the same reason is out there to debate. I wish my post is clear enough to get my idea across.

I imagine they will either ignore it or just try to animate everything they can in 1 go for once.
They can always recreate their MARVELOUS SCENES of Ace crying during Marine ford. With Mama questioning 'Where did you go mother' every 2 fcking minutes while sending us 5 second still shots of every and I stress EVERY dmn character attending the wedding.(The convocation has enough characters to have a 10+ minutes filler with still shots - from different perspectives of course for our entertainment
) then after the FB we could have a 30 second sequence of Katakuri releasing his rice earplugs and the mirror+launchers being destroyed (with of course another round of Stills of everyone plus their grandma's reactions to the events)…Yes, I can't wait for that day, GLORIOUS!

Well I believe it's "winch…"
http://images.4wheelparts.com/aux_incl/images.ashx?i=images/products/SB/SB_98510_WRCLogoAdded.jpg&w=200&h=200Which makes about the same amount of sense to me… since zero is about the same as zero.
Sorry, my bad. yep, he's the ''wincher'' of the family. Whatever that means anyway. Maybe he's an expert in assassination by hanging, or he's the one to call when your car breaks down…

So wait… what's Yonji's power again?
With that Alias? He ''wrenches'' people to death. Perhaps he's good at plumbing.:ninja:

RE: Chapter 869: Under Siege
This is just a thesis. But what would happen if the tammatebako gets opened at the base of the castle?
Have we received any information on how powerful the explosives inside the chest are?
If not, someone might pry into it just to be welcomed by a massive explosion. My doubt is, might it be possible to have an explosion powerful enough to destroy the foundations of Mama's tea party building? It would certainly bring insult to injury and still it would add another layer which would allow the crew to escape (in all that chaos conveyed). Sadly if something like this happens its execution must be impeccable to avoid any feelings of 'well, that's TOO convenient' or meh..'we hit a deux ex machina event' -
RE: Chapter 867: Happy Birthday
I still don't think that linlin cannibalised Mother C and the kids. In fact I believe we are in for a surprise. First of, Was it me or did we just saw the birth of prometheus? Granted with another name and much smaller but The sun, the raincloud and the Bicorne are starting to look extremely suspicious in my eyes

RE: Chapter 866: Natural Born Destroyer
It was really cool to see Elbaf, but I'm not sure about the possible redemption of Big Mom. Her backstory goes along with her character, but I'd rather prefer her as a villain - she's been a very good villain so far, but it seems like that's pretty likely where it's going. Would be the best if she'd have this backstory and still stay a villain, though.
She can remain a villain. One with a couple of layers exposed. Her childhood story won't necessarily soften her character nor tarnish her misdeeds and threat. If anything, it will flesh her out and provide depth to the complexity which is Linlin. From where I stand this Flashback is still uncooked, yet the pan is on the burner and the fire is on! Believe it or not, I do feel for 5 Y.O Linlin. That said, as BM's past gets unraveled opportunities to showcase her larval stages and how she evolves from caterpillar to BIG MUM (can't call her a butterfly:wassat: a moth perhaps?) are far too juicy to be wasted. Mother Carmel's death is sure to be one of the triggers If not THE Trigger, but I ponder if we're in for a domino buildup with a tragic ending.
Regardless of what happens in the FB and hunger pangs aside my feelings towards BM are unlikely to change.Honestly, In spite of her unripe behavior present day Big Mom has been portrayed once and again as a proactive schemer with set goals (many of them stemming from her childish desires).

RE: One Piece 865: "Hey, Mother"
Apparently people interpret it differently, but to me it's obvious that Big Mom's "iron balloonishness" stems from her haki and not some super thick skin. Her defense is simply strong and always active (similar to Whitebeard dodging stuff in his sleep). People calling her an untouchable iron balloon is a metaphor, just like Sanji calling Vergo "basically a mass of iron".
The mental breakdown gets rid of her haki defense, which makes sense since Haki is considered manifested willpower.
I could get behind this.
