In my case i thought I will merely focus on anime series POPs.. but suddenly Strong World appeared… I dunno just bought Luffy and Chopper SW along with my Kuma last Christmas.. I dunno why I bought them.. well maybe because of SPARE CHANCES that they are still available in that store by that time.. SO NOW I'M FACING ANOTHER COMMITMENT OF MY LIFE... COMPLETING THE POP STRONG WORLD SERIES.. and soon the POP Mugiwara theater!
This is correct, I started by just wanting the girls….Vivi, Robin, Nami, Tashigi....not even Bellemere as I knew she was pricey....one thing lead to another....and now I have every POP style except Usopp/Chopper (because I don't like it) and Smoker.....it really is an addiction....on top of that, I got hooked to some mini figure series like big heads and now the banpresto world collections....also made some impulse buys like Shanks GLM etc and plenty of other side toys.....my wife is not diggin this. =P At least she likes OP, so it's somewhat justified haha.
OP collectors are just like PIRATEs from different seas of this world.. You will never be satisfied to a single treasure… you will surely hunt for more treasure that this world may offer.. lol! :-)
Being the tightwad I am, I thought I'd never bring myself to purchase a P.O.P. Even after seeing pictures of all of them, I've only ever wanted a select few partially because they're so expensive. Tonight I finally broke down and bought a P.O.P. I purchased Brook, one of the three I want most, through Rightstuf. I think as long as I get Rob Lucci, Sogeking, and possibly Franky, I'll be alright and not have the "OMG I MUST HAVE THEM ALL" syndrome I occasionally get. I certainly hope all this money was worth it.
Anyway I'd like to ask, does anyone know why Rightstuf removed their listings for the Sogeking and Sanji P.O.P's? Any chance they'll (or at least Sogeking) reappear soon?
I'm happy for you that you have a limit for your satisfaction for this POP addiction… but i think as you finish your 3 most fave POP you will never stop thinking to complete even the MUGIWARA CREW..... well let us see and good luck to your collection! :-)

Scary things to hear….I thought the Golden Toei stickers were a good determinant for bootlegs. I'm comparing all the POP figures I bought from ebay to the ones I bought from Japan (Amazon, Rakuten, Yahoo auctions etc) and the packaging is very similar. Good thickness cardboard, golden Toei, everything is neatly packed and tucked in between the plastic suspension holders, good quality paint job, and also a serial # under the fold flap when you first open the box. At least nothing I have seems to be a fake to me....guess that's all that matters....but surprised to hear the bootlegs being so good these days.
For Milds Extra detachable heads + extra were the best determinant to know its legit. Always ask the seller for its authenticity. How I wish no seller will sent a POP items which in orig packaging but bootleg inside. that's really scary!!!

Since I'm new I have to ask (+ I have the figures and paid good $$ for them). How were you guys able to tell so quickly that Luffy, Sanji, and Robin (CB-1 series) are bootlegs? I couldn't discern any packaging differences + quality differences from the authentic ones I bought in Japan from the ones I paid good $$ for on ebay so I figure I'm good….but the only thing I could tell from his pictures are that the stands aren't clear like they're supposed to be. Is there something else that you guys are looking for or maybe my laptop screen is just too small to see it.
Well REDDRAGON distinguished them as bootlegs coz he seen it personally.. by pictures you can see it as legit if has its own box with toei sticker, spare heads and the stands are clear and shinny. And of course the quality of the figure it's not made of shinny plastic but definitely PVC that when you touch it it's quite matte type. And bootlegs either can fall down backward or forward!

You're right your a certified POP Collector there are bootlegs in there, to tell exactly there 4.. Shanks, mild sanji, robin and luffy…. Maybe for now the merely a replacement since the event must happened. :-) Since got no budget to buy legit ones.... Maybe soon on my next POP exhibit with additional new POPs next year.

I ordered a set of POP Milds of Nami, Zoro and Nojico at Hachioji… well this is my first online transaction using my paypal account since it was activated last Wednesday... They said my items was already shipped. Hachioji is highly recommended shop for POPs right?
Mmyess, so if they made a Buggy P.O.P. with detachable parts like that, it would be fascinating. Though if it does come to that I hope they'll try to include a stronger magnet so Buggy doesn't spontaneously decapitate himself. My Hattori slides off pretty easily. ;x

About the BOOTLEG Bellemere hope that it wil reach our country soon in good quality ( in plastic) and good price.... I hope because of this MEGAHOUSe will alarmed that they should re-issue smoker and bellemere to avoid the spreading of BL POPs..
