@Chopperrules:
I have no idea how it didn't happen, lol. That's what everyone keeps saying. Of course I've known about Dragon Ball before I even started watching anime series, but I just never ended up seeing or reading it. Aside from Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, the first anime series I watched in Japanese was One Piece, and the first manga I read was also One Piece. That's why it has a special place. The second series I got into was Naruto, then the third Bleach. In actuality, I've only been really into anime and manga for about… I want to say 8 years or so (wow, that's longer than I even though). I only recently decided to watch Dragon Ball since everyone keeps saying how it's the must-see series. I've been planning to watch it for a few years now. I've been scratching off other series on my lists, so I'd say I'll probably end up watching it within this year at some point. I'm starting with Dragon Ball before I start on Kai so I get the full story.
To put it simply, I just never ended up seeing it since I didn't have cable growing up to see it on TV, and I never read online scanlations when I was a kid (not did I even know they existed). It's just a weird situation where I sort of fell out of the loop. It's not that I dislike it or anything.
I've also been experimenting with genres over the past few years to find out what I like and don't like. I think I can safely say I'm ready to start visting other series I've been putting off now that I have a pretty good idea of where I stand with my interests.
Very intersting. Thanks for sharing.
