back story: Valentine was an orphan and used to steal every so often when one day him and his best friend reedo (first mate) stole some fruit from a merchant they each found a devil fruit in the mans bag of course they didn't know that at the time. they proceeded to eat the fruit and then complained on how horrible it tasted of course the merchant found them only to find that they had eaten the fruit he attempted to cut the fruit out of them but was thwarted by a pirate who went by the name of Tyke the jade arm (his power is to turn things into jewels when he pleases just thought I'd say that) and after protecting the boy's then told Valentine and his friend what they just ate the boy's shocked and panicked even attempting to punch it out of each others stomachs (yes they were that stupid) but Tyke calmed them down and adopted the two trained them to be able to fight with different weapons and such Valentine wasn't too interested in weapons and preferred to use his bare hands until Tyke showed him the claws which val uses as a signature weapon Valentine only found out how to use his powers when some people had gotten on the ship with the intent of taking it over and stealing all the treasure Valentine thought of this as a way to test his skill and with his friend redo attempted to fight them but things went wrong as redo was caught by one of them this triggered Valentine to use his ability as he manged to use a bloody knuckle on the man who attempted to kill redo when Valentine was shot the area simply turned into blood and regenerated at that point redo also used his power which turned out to let him control particles in the air and make small areas of the air denser almost like water and slow down attacks he can also heat up the area around him so he basically changes climate within limited area at that point Valentine and redo prevailed and the crew threw a party for them Valentine and redo were also taught about haki and Valentine also has the kings disposition as some call it just like luffy while redo can defend himself more with his haki when Valentine and redo turned 18 they set off as the crew gave them a small boat strong enough to take on the waves and they set off to make there crew

appearance: Valentine wears a orange vest with black jeans he also has dark brown hair and brown eyes he is very tall and looks quite scrawny but very strong

i guess that's it i know it might not have been that good but I've had this idea in my head since like 2006 for a one piece character so there you go hope people like it
