Although from the trailer i find it very odd for Luffy to chastise someone from doing something because their parent won't like it. Because, Luffy would never change his actions because his dad/grandpa didn't approve.

Pretty obvious that Luffy's chastising Uta for doing something/choosing wrong. Nothing odd with it.

This series is so great. Easily my favorite anime of the past year and the current year so far. I can rewatch an episode for a good number of times just because of how much I enjoy and love the story.

After having read that interview about one of this show's actors say that they're "fixing/righting the wrongs of the original anime" - possibly the most disrespectful thing you could say about someone's work and a generally beloved series at that in the otaku circle - I couldn't be happier that this show got canceled. Good riddance.

Awesome chapter. It's exciting to think where this Sanji's Germa genes awakening is going to for Sanji's fights in the future. Queen shooting himself out of his own torso and become a snake is Oda outclassing himself - I fucking love it.

I also didnt like that Luffy seeing Sabo again was an Enel face insteading of just seeing him be happy.

I dont like humor to encroach on everything. I prefer emotional moment played straight. I think its easier to feel what the character feel. And I high stakes fight to have villains with threatening presence. I think it makes taking them down more satisfying and feel more like an accomplishment.

So pretty much all of One Piece, then? Ok.

WOW. A Final Fantasy game adapted into anime, and it's 9 of all things?

Don't wake me up if this is a dream - my favorite Final Fantasy is going to have an anime version. Never, ever, did I think anything like this would even be a possibility let alone actually exist.

Accusing people of misogyny is serious and calling others amateurish and misinformed is rude. Oda showed in the story that Ulti was faster and stronger than Nami. And unlike Miss Doublefinger and Kalifa, Ulti actually took Nami seriously. Oda actually gave Nami and fans a serious female antagonist capared to Nami's past enemies.

It's a double edged sword when you claim misogyny, but you want a strong female antagonist to be dumbed down just so a female protagonist can win. One Piece is about recognizing that it's okay to know your limitations and to rely on others. You don't have to win everything on your own. Luffy made it clear in Arlong Park.

Greg also recently said that Nami hasn't used will power in fights since Enies Lobby, yet she stood up to Ulti to defend Tama even after she had begged Ulti to spare her life. Then Nami's compassion saved Zues and gave her a power up.

Nami used her weather abilities and thievery to steal Zues in the first place and her compassion allowed her to gain a power up. Then with team work she defeated Ulti. I get if you don't like it, but it seems very One Piece to me.

Not only is the misogynist accusation towards people who think Nami couldn't beat Ulti terribly wrong, how does it even apply to Usopp, Nami's partner during the entire skirmish with Ulti and Page One? He was in the same situation with and suffered the same injuries as Nami the entire time. In fact, not only is Nami totally outclassed by Ulti, but Ulti also singlehandedly almost killed BOTH her and Usopp.

I definitely understand the disappointment for how the fight played out, but damn what a hot garbage take from Greg.

So I guess it's safe to assume that this is Square's reimagining of the first Final Fantasy? If so, WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL WERE THEY THINKING?

C'mon now.

I actually hope the later stages of the development turn out FAR better than what is currently being teased, because all I'm left with right now is total distaste.

Also in general, I'm kinda getting sick of that really awkward way japanese animated/motion captured video game characters unaturally gesture wildly. It was acceptable a few generations back, but when I see it in FF7 Remake, Monster Hunter World and even this…thing, it just really takes me out of the game
. It ends up looking funnier than I feel they intended it to.

The graphics are the least of this project's issues right now. But that's maybe because I'm not a big graphics guy and most of my favorite video games have graphics that the current generation would frown upon (older console games).

Toei is on a roll. Just thinking about what they can pump out with the incoming Onigashima fights… oh man.
