I find it to be enjoyable , the voice actors are quite good , the animation is serviceable but they censor things quite heavily sometimes .
They skip few things with Kyoukai (assassination attempt).

Not really,dull combat overall (tendency to zoom weird parts so they don't have to animate or draw scenery and body parts),color pallet was definitely sub-par on pretty much everything.
For something only 12 episodes the pace was just awful don't know why ,what weird place to end the season.
The only thing good was Suiryu scenes and King VA for the most part ,characters talking was more exciting and enjoyable then action bits (and that's bit weird on series like this).

Never expected season 2 to compete season 1, but this was just disappointing.

Had more fun with Isekai Quartet and actually looking forward for the next season of this.

Yeah nice designs but makes me bit sad.

Weird i thought Kubo didn't like working for Shonen Jump.

I'm loving the amount comments i'm finding about Rhys mustache .
So far i'm liking what i'm seeing within the trailer, hope we have quest with Ellie reminiscing about Scooter .

! You're presumably forgetting the whole emotional rematch where Bakugo deduces All Might gave his power to Deku. Aka arguably his best moment in the entire series. All Might and Deku fill him in afterwards through a combination of respect and appeasement.
! Anyways, I think this actually shows why Bakugo is a good choice to share with. He's got great intuition and is shown pushing the conversation along, making connections that Deku might not have. He'll be an extra important confidant once All Might dies.

Someone who can't control what is coming out of his mouth and still learning his power and has a bully tendencies doesn't seem good choice to me.

! Did i miss something or not remembering? When was Bakugo informed of any of this and why involve him now? (He had suspicions sure that they were more then teacher and student but nothing specific)
Found this to be really weird ,a teacher would be much better choice like eraser head if All might needs help training Deku.
Heck even in this chapter shows that Todoroki would be a better choice.

He is slow overall, attack speed and movement(but his dodge helps this ,its more of dash really) but he does more damage with physical attacks then other two.
Hmm for story reasons mostly i would advice leaving Aqua for last can't really elaborate on this for spoiler reasons.
Oh you probably already notice this but Aqua can block an attack from any direction(barrier around her) so block with healing its really good.

Why do you need kill 10000 unversed?What difficulty did you choose?
Hope its proud because if it is standard ouch you have to complete report section(mickey mouse icon will appear when its complete) with each character to unlock the secret ending.

No ,you go to same worlds but to other zones that other characters can't access overall.
Just keep save file for each character be careful not overwrite a save file (you need this for extra content) and one for choosing the character .

That's not worse minigame at least not for me , the words fruit ball makes me shudder.

Aqua is hardest to start with (quite frail) but becomes powerful later on, Terra is just slow and has meager magic , Ventus is the easiest to use from beginning but lacks power by end of it.
If you want tackle the extra content(optional bosses) go with Aqua.
Ah with Terra if you want Xehanort letters you have to complete arena if i'm remembering right ,that is going involve minigames besides fighting.

I've started BBS for the first time and so far I'm not liking the battle system with the command deck nearly as much. The camera also seems to be too close to the characters and the font in the reports book makes the entries harder to read, because it feels so claustrophobic. I wish they would'Ve fixed that for the HD version. Also, the board game is weird and from the little I've played, I don't care for it. Too slow and the hud covers so much of it.

Also, the Universed are weird and just there. I've had no explanation so far of them. I've finished up Snow White, which had a weird abrupt ending and started Cinderella.

Hmm i'm guessing you started with Ventus don't know if you know this but BBS its better play in certain order Terra , Ventus and Aqua you get full story that way ,its save file for each character and you get extra chapters after you complete all three.
You don't need to touch the Command Board at all but you get nice abilities from it and train the ones you have ,the other minigames that appear you only have to play once unless you want Xehanort letters ,i find them to be necessary to fully understand story .
Unversed will get explain on certain character story mostly.
Advice i have is focus on learning auto ability's like reducing cooldown.
Just warning the optional bosses are quite hard specially with Terra.

Hmm flags i wonder what Bellamy role will be in this.
That hug was adorable, the Hawkins vs Law skirmish was nice (good to see that Hawkins can handle Law power somewhat).
Tama power probably works on Smile users that permanently on hybrid form since they are beast's that can't return to human form.
Not really surprised if what the mother was trying do is natural occurrence in town when they reach their limit.
Intrigue by ending its clearly a lie since most people there are in fact alive.

It is nice that Bellamy doing something that doesn't involve violence and seems to enjoy it ,i suppose this flag will substitute the one they lost at WCI.

Luffy was not merely impressed, he was AMAZED. His reaction here is bigger than when Jimbe called the whales in Impel Down.

Anyway, I never said that only earth shattering events should impress Luffy, just that his fancy is tickled by the unique/whimsical things of his reality (like laser beams). Saying that this is the "first Samurai action" that Luffy has ever seen is a clever way to put it like something unique, but in reality the technique didn't look any different than the swordsmenship we've been witnessing since the inception of the manga, especially Zoro's.

Btw, Luffy never met Ryuuma, but Kinnemon was around him since Punk Hazard.

(On a side note, I actually don't understand Kiku's slash judging by her pose in the air, so maybe I'm tripping, or maybe that's what so special here… or maybe Oda just had a bad day and drew a nonsense movement.)

But it is unique enough to him , actual samurai doing it ,should he be less excited because it was caused by sword?
Then he should no longer feel excitement because of laser beams he already saw quite a few of them or armor.
I bet if he saw a Cowboy shot a apple off somebody's head he be amazed by it even if he saw Yassop perform similar things because it was Cowboy that did it.
Nami can already do similar things to ninja ninjutsu but he felt amazed with Raizou when he showed his techniques.

Yes but he never saw Kine'mon cut fire(only Brook,Sanji and Zoro saw) or in action against a enemy in general(only thing he saw was him getting slashed by Doffy).

She was front of him then jumped , slash left to right doing a mid turn leaving her behind him.
It was fast and precise not mention what she did its incredibly humiliating for Urashima and now its possible he is going see Sumo wrestler vs Samurai.

Its quite simple , first real samurai action that he has seen (he never saw Ryuma as far i remember) and the action was done with real finesse and precision ,she did it all before topknot reaching the ground.

Already saw Luffy insisting to having a sword and armor because he find it to be cool plus the adoration Ninja we already saw on Zou its obvious that likes that type of warriors, so seeing one perform an action in flesh its really cool to him.
He going to act the same way if he sees another Ninja doing something, putting a piece of wood in front of a attack for example.

Doesn't need be earth shattering event to impress him.

Bellamy was a surprise but i think he needs a bit of time out from the pirate life at least have time to himself to rethink things ,no doubt we will see him later because of vivre card of Luffy.
Holdem was nice surprise also but i bet people are going complain about his goofyness, perhaps Tama ability will allow Smiles users instability to stabilize or it just to capture more beasts more easily.
Really liking Kiku so far and her interactions with Zoro and Luffy ,specially Zoro ,they are funny and cute.
Urashima opponent i don't know but it would be funny if it was Bepo.

So far people suffering from Hawkins ability were either completely unrelated or Pleasures from Kaido the ones that smile even if someone hurts them or Orochi men i assume they can't really refuse his orders.

Hmm so far only Pleasures and some i assume Orochi men got hurt because of Hawkins ability, there seems to be only one of is men present there (braided hair one).
This is good way to get rid Kaido people and Orochi people without seeming treasonous, i wonder if rest of Hawkins crew is being held hostage.

There's a limit to how many minions of side characters can be developed. That said, the point of these chapters isn't about Katari or Kitari, but rather these chapters are about further developing Heki.

I agree with that but there should be atleast bit more of attempt to developed them since chapter focus on loss of Katari and the emotions of his men and sister.

I mean this shouldn't be all for Heki sake since mountain people i assume will more present in story going foward and we should know more about their leaders so we readers can care down the line atleast .

I already give up the notion that Hara is going touch more on enemies at this point.

Another chapter that i didn't care much ,most characters present are really so undeveloped or so unknown that is really hard care for them i barely feel anything from it.

Yeah its necessary since there are people that have short memories and there is new readers that don't start from the beginning of story so one measly panel shouldn't be that jarring.

Its still extremely hypocritical of them. Caesar is a monster who makes monstrous weapons with monstrous effects, which was highlighted by the horrific aftermath that met Chopper and Nami in Zou. They called out Caesars atrocities then, but the very next arc they use the same weapons without a seconds hesitation? Thats not a good look.

We didn't know shit about the Mobydick yet I really got the feels when Whitebeard gave his farewell to his ship.
We saw tons of adventure of the Fishman Pirates on their ship and Oda just destroyed it just to have a ship burning in last week's cliffhanger…..It didn't even protected the sunny in any way and didn't fool the enemy for more than 2 seconds. And none of the fishman seem to give a fuck.

That's quite harsh.

They already said they are prepared to die ,basically sink with the ship ,not mention they have Fisher Tiger mark on their flesh.
Those adventures focus more on mark than their ship.
And the ship sacrifice allow the Sunny to gain some distance ,it was gamble they had zero prep time.

I'm not talking about what could makesense in the story or whatnot, I'm talking about the quality of the storytelling.

Fishmen would have been fine (they still should've done something better than the switcheroo though) but Wadatsumi doing all the work it's just weak.

Actually, tecnically the fishmen were part of the resolution since they still changed the currents, but they weren't part of he main answer: "how did the Sunny survive/avoid that blast?", thus the disappointment.

But he was not out equation ,we have nothing that showed that he was , when someone throws boiling water on top you the first reaction would be screaming and then finding way to cool off , heck Watatsumi has prior experience of being "cooked" nevermind that he can reach low temperture water with ease ,we see him diving in chapter 900 .

Why? He wanted to repay Jinbey for the trouble he caused in fishmen island and he is the only being there that can manhandle ships with relative ease ,good portion side characters in One piece have played much grander rule that is usual in other stories we have mutiple examples of this in One Piece, having focus on Wadatsumi shoudn't be weird or out of place.
But it seems that Wadatsumi is too much side character to actually be acting force in the story .

What makes sense in story should be important to you since it ties with quality of storytelling.
What a person finds to be a good storytelling method is subjective but for me atleast as long author uses what is present in story be either a place or a character or a thing without breaking rules establish before he is doing a good job and if he (author) can do it in way that we can't preditc the outcome even better ,that happened with this chapter atleast for me ,i thought that Wadatsumi would be a key part of strawhats escape but not the how, i was pleasantly suprised and glad that he played bigger role.

I'm glad we got more out of Wadatsumi and i hope in future we get more, he can tag team with Surume i don't know when or how but i hope it happens.

I would be fine if Wadatsumi pulled them down and the cannonballs hit a boat behind them. It's the same cheap cliffhanger and without the convoluted way to achieve it.

Why would the Chanter miss?
What purpose would that serve without fooling the enemy first?
That wouldn't buy time at all ,Oven would attack Watatsumi immediately.

I agree, Wadatsumi eating the Sunny wouldn't have been that bad if there was a better explaination for the wrecked ship and the flag.
Actually I think it could have been predicted even considering a well written solution, as long as it wasn't the MAIN reason why the Strawhats got out of that situation.

Why? Is it because it was Watatsumi was doing the action?

Fishmen and Watatsumi should be main reason for strawhats to escape since they can influence the battleground better than anyone else there .

The only problem with the ship was that they sacrificed the legendary ship of Fisher tiger for nothing. It didn't buy them even seconds, it was the most useless sacrifice ever.

It's like Oda wanted to wreck the fishman ship so they get stuck on totland.

You can make cliffhangers that don't try to deceive. It's the difference between "what will happen next?" (good cliffhanger) and having to give a new perspective on facts already presented for a less satisfying conclusions.

But is quite normal for authors to try to deceive their readers for mutiple of reasons like the use of a red herring, doesn't make a bad thing for doing so ,they exist so we the readers discuss about them ,then come to some sort of conclusion, "this fake because x" or "thus guy is there so its y", as long it doesn't break any know rules within than fiction world there shouldn't be problem.

What new perspective? The pieces were all there from the start and capable of events we saw and they(fishmen) were caught quite immediately because the plan had quit few holes now they are forced to stay behind.

Honestly that was the first idea that came into mind and the Wadatsumi switch looks more broken than that. Read what Razh wrote about the timing one or two pages ago, it doesn't make any logical sense.

They can use the sound of cannons of the Chanter as signal for the switch for example,the ship was close enough not to miss.
The plan didn't work well enough as we seen in chapter, this is a on the spot plan the only reason they gain distance is because Watatsumi is huge (travels greater distances) and spat out the ship gaining even more distance.
With resources at hand for on spot plan doesn't seem a bad plan to me.

Well the perception of a story is never completely objective but I think It's safe to say this could have been handled a little better.
It's not about the lack of hints.
It's about how the follow up to an exciting cliffhanger must be exciting too for it to not be disappointing. That's the main simple difference between bad and decent cliffhangers. And then there are also very good ones which have hints and stuff.

The one with the big wave was perfect for me: a giant santient wave is about to hit the Sunny–--> the new nakama shows that he is an amazing helmsman and he rides the wave.
The resolution pays back because is equally powerful. And the cliffhanger it's not just there to build up the hype for the next chapter but becomes relevant to the story too, as we are introduced to Jinbe's role in the crew.
The fact that the characters managed to overcome the situation thanks to their own skills (and also not just avoid it but overcome it) made it even better. And Jinbe being previously hinted as an helmsman was good too because it made the resolution fit better in the story, but the hint wasn't what made the whole thing work (I didn't even remember that until someone mentioned it).

Another example of this kind of cliffhanger which had a very decent resolution was the end of Luffy vs Croco-boy round 1: has Luffy really been defeated and stabbed in the chest by that big hook? How does he get out of that situation?----> He really is defeated and stabbed, and the best thing is that he's somehow able to touch Crocodile finally and we don't understand how. And how does he get out of there? All the other good characters are somewhere else and he's even been thrown into a sand pit now: that mysterious villain who later will become a nakama shows up again and shows interest in the D. in Luffy's name, which is also mentioned for the first time ever if I remember correctly.
A powerful situation and an equally powerful resolution.
It's not like we found out that Luffy's only been stabbed in the arm, or that it was just a Mr.3 wax Luffy or some weird Bentham power, and then the giant smiling crab comes out of the sand pit and puts Luffy in his mouth.

Chapter 900 ended up being like the beheaded Doflamingo string clone cliffhanger. Obviously in that case it was silly to assume that he actually lost his head but a string clone was the lamest idea ever, and it didn't even serve any purpose in the story that couldn't have been handled through less clumsy means.
The Law switch was almost as bad but at least it had a purpose later.

Also, the expectations were high for this cliffhanger because:

• All that Big Mom singing was hyping that last page so much and it looked like Oda had a very good idea to resolve the situation
• It was chapter 900, the solution could have had decent implications in the story.
• Two weeks break

And like I said before Jinbe staying back is a powerful moment that fills the expectations for this chapter and the Sun Pirates changing the sea currents is a smart idea that fits perfectly, we knew that fishmen were able to do that since Arlong Park I think, and still nobody even mentioned that in any part of the theories.
So why the heck couldn't Oda have used the sea currents change to explain the last page of 900? Something like "when it was about to get hit by the Chanter, the Sun Pirates created a current that made the Sunny slide away and made an enemy ship slide in where the Sunny was so that it was hit instead".

The switcheroo doesn't destroy the chapter for me but it's a slip, anything would have worked better than that which is lame and also sloppy (the timing, and also the way it was revealed to be Fisher Tiger's ship to make us care is ridiculously bad).

That would serve what purpose? They still be range of enemy ships to attack quite easily,wouldn't solve anything.

Hidding the target from enemy with switch makes more sense since it can actualy buy time to escape.
What really happened makes sense, it didn't simply work as planned but atleast gave them more distance from BMP and now they can change the current without afecting the Sunny.

Using to. Much force is worse than using to little force. That is why the cannon to fly saying exists. Dont you see how is so much easier to escape with so many people concentrated in one place, and dont you see how their effectivity declines drastically. Also any area attacks, like the ones done by the vinsmoke and the fishmen, are way more effwctive in this situation.

Where does BMP gave them chances ?
The ones giving Strawhats chances to escape are the Fishmen and Germa, how does smaller team would benefit BMP in any shape or form when they are against army and foes that control water currents and sink ships with ease?

I know the big controversy in this chapter is the way the Strawhats managed to escape the Chanter's attack, but I'm honestly not that upset about it, it was a pretty creative and unpredictable way to resolve things, which is clearly seen by the lack of accurate predictions. That being said, I feel like there should have been some consequence to it instead of simply resolving it without any story impact. Hell, even the flag was back by the end of the chapter (A mistake by Oda, I'd imagine).
The worst part about the chapter was the ending. That was super lame. I mean come on Oda, no one reads One Piece to figure out if Luffy becomes Pirate King, we read it to find out how he becomes Pirate King.
Another interesting thing to note is that Sanji was noticeably absent in the entire chapter. I wonder what he could be up to?

The ship always had two flags… they lost one.

Gerth ,yeah almost everybody guessed right it makes sense, she has similiar design to first draft of Nami i think way back minus the mechanical leg.
Watasumi was a nice suprise, too bad the switch didnt fool BMP.
Oven being constant suprise for me in good way , he has good mastery of his power .
Nice moment with Jinbei and Luffy.
I knew it Morgans would want to watch it till the end, seagull power .

Really good chapter for me , made me like Katakuri more and Luffy too ,i just hope the anime does the scene justice.

Since moment of Linlin show her collection i knew appearances was going to be key theme because even if was considered human or something with sense of self as along it has weird visage to her she collect it. Even in her flashback we have her trying to "correct" the appearance of other children ,since she never had a good role model to help her to see error of her behavior this never got better just worse and worse and now some her children would adopt this behavior too because of fear of their mother or became their way of they see things too .
