The app makes it easier to get certain mons depending of your location (I'd guess), and in order to get the mystical pokemon Meltan, you have to unlock something in the game, send it to the app, and then play a lot of the app to get the evolution of Meltan.

I expected more connection with the app, but fine by me. Anything else about the game seems fine, good enough to drop 20 bucks on it at least.

Somebody I know wants to sell Let's Go Pikachu for super cheap and I'm kinda intrigued, but is there a point to the game for someone who never downloaded the let's go app and has no interested in it? If the game is basically just a Pokemon Yellow remake then I'm fine with it, but if I miss out on like half the game without the app then I don't feel getting it.

His quirk is basically a better version of Confession, the same way Overhaul and Gigantification are superior to Decay and Big Fist. They should make a league for disgruntled quirk users with shitty bootleg powers.

I'm always interested to see how they present historical figures, but thankfully I don't have to play the game to see that.
Haven't played an Ubisoft game since AssCreed 2, there's something about Ubisoft games that really puts me off, but I can't put my finger on it, except I really dislike how they design UIs and I'm not a fan of over-the-shoulder 3rd person cameras.

That's probably how it is for most people, right? There's really no reason to go to the main site, since it's pretty easy to find them on Youtube. The bigger creators have their own site anyway, like Brad.

That scene with 18 was great, the genuine concern over 17 not wishing for his stupid thing was one of the few unintentionally funny moments this arc provided.

If the series was going to continue I'd say the Grand Priest and Angels were going to be the next villains one way or another. But the next episode is the last isn't it?

That's a popular theory, but personally I've never been a fan of the 'The Angels are the villains' twist, seen it to many times by now. I always liked the idea that Goku would wish back all the erased universes, including the four that Zeno erased ages ago and revive some ancient Galactus-like cosmic horror.

I didn't even have a problem with him not confronting Overhaul in the last arc tbh, the drama felt stilted to me. Not confronting a very dangerous person in a public place and informing the authorities are all very reasonable things to me. I realize that a cold and clinical view on the whole thing, but for some reason how it all happened rubbed me the wrong way.
Taking the initiative is fine, since some of my favorite heroes in other comics are the pure type who just want to help people, but the festival being cancelled isn't even that bad, even though Hori wants us to think that it is. There's really no reason for him to not inform a pro hero except that he really doesn't want the festival to be interrupted in any way. That's a really feeble reason for something that could end up harming other people, even if Gentle's MO isn't violent or all that malicious. What if he loses, gets knocked out and Gentle's actions allow for the Alliance to crash the festival? Heroes are supposed to take something like that into consideration.

Yeah…Never really been a fan of the hero constantly being where he needs to be. Especially through mostly mundane reasons. If he was actually patrolling or doing hero work when these encounters happened it would make a bit more sense.

At the very least it's dumb of Deku to even confront Gentle. He could have played dumb then alerted the Hound. I don't know why he thinks his talk no jutsu is effective on villains. It usually just pisses them off.

Gon's absence really doesn't bother me that much, Kurapika's story about revenge and redemption leads to more interesting situations. Gon wouldn't have any reason to board the ship to the DC 'cause his story already got resolved way back when he met Gin and Killua is sorta useless without him. I guess Killua still needs some resolution when it comes to his family, especially Illumi, but he could die during this trip for all we know. Leorio's got lots of potential since his character isn't tied down to one specific thing, so he can do whatever he wants.
The more I think about it the happier I am that Gon and Killua aren't around.

I think you are digging for meaning that isn't there. Jiren's backstory is the way it is because Toriyama thinks stuff like this is good, overwhelming strength is to him a character trait as any other.
Cell at the very least had a very striking design and was involved in a story that, back in the day, was very mysterious and exciting. There is none of that here, a okayish arc with the worst antagonist Dragon Ball ever had. I don't think there is anything intentional here, maybe a very superficial reference to another story or characters, just his bad habits as a writer showing themselves. These things are more noticeable now then ever, so many writers who create similar stories to Dragon Ball have far surpassed Toriyama by now.

! Jiren is probably going to win and wish back all the universes based on those comments ("it's also Jiren's story") and the spoilers. That's an okay ending, but not really very conclusive (which is another given), this also means at one point there can be more. Unless there is some sort of twist involving Freeza, that'd mean his involvement was strangely anti-climatic for all the build-up he got.

Jiren winning or not is irrelevant when it comes to the question of what's to follow, it's not as if he's the only one one who'd wish the other universes back, that role can be filled by anyone but Freeza. Every antagonist in Dragon Ball (and almost every shonen) is stronger than the former, so Jiren will be surpassed as well. That puts the writers in a bad spot, the erased universes can't produce a credible threat anymore, since none of them brought anyone as strong as him. Either we get another Zamasu or they are doomed to irrelevance, because of the absurd power spike in the story. The rules of Dragon Ball dictate that it needs to escalate even more, so that means some unknown threat exists in the non-participating universes, or the grand padre meme becomes real.
If they are really desperate to come up with anything plausible, they might as well give Freeza his wish and do some Emperor Joker-like story with him.

eh, I wasn't really feeling this. As far as I'm concerned, it's just Goku learning another form against the most boring antagonist in all of Dragon Ball history. The way it was represented wasn't bad or anything, but I would have preferred if Goku just looked like always without meme hair, but whatever.

Urouge is one of the worst generation. After Cracker and Katakuri were defeated by Luffy, Snack losing to Urouge doesn't look shameful anymore.

I wonder if Katakuri and Cracker are getting demoted like Snack. I have this scene in my head with Big Mom sitting on the throne of her demolished castle, a single tear rolling down her cheek as she realizes that Smoothie of all people is her only sweet commander left and that she'll have to rely on her the most in the future.

Anybody playing Kingdom Come Deliverance?
All the shilling that youtube did actually sold me on the game. I'm not familiar with the devs or anything, but supposedly it's made by this small czech team with a budget of 5 million or something, for that it's pretty damn impressive, still kinda buggy though and not well optimized, I still get performance issues sometimes and that's with having recommended specs and all.
I haven't played to much of it, I'm still on Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny, but it gave me a good impression.

JBs translation this week seems pretty awkward, especially the Monoma part about the beauty contest, I think it's supposed to be Kendo. Not saying he couldn't be in it of course, he's a pretty girl and all.

This arc has now given me two unintentionally hilarious moments. The rock thing with Toppo and Frieza appearing in Goku's thoughts about the people trusting in him.
No matter how the ToP will end, I'll always have that.

I get the date part because it was said jokingly, but the honeymoon bit made me cringe a little. Lolicon Mirio doesn't need to be a thing, folks have been memeing that enough already as it is.

Three of her top commanders defeated/crippled in a short span, her entire HQ/castle destroyed and her huge event ruined for all to see and she herself not being able to do anything to stop it is too big news to be kept entirely under lid. They essentially blew up the white house for all to see. Manpowerwise they aren't suffering too bad, but their prestige and their family name is basically mud if (when) Luffy does all of that and suffers no consequences.

It's definitively deserved, that's what you get when you lead a pirate crew in the way she does, with guys like Opera afraid to admit their fuck ups and having members like Bobbins who are too arrogant for their own good. This whole situation could've been easily avoided by them. I don't know if this was intentional or if it's just the plot protecting the gang.
anyway, about that confusing exchange in the end, I think Jaiminis got it wrong?
