Where did you buy it from?

I've decided to get a huge centrepiece for my collection and going with a resin statue like BP Studio or Pandora Studio or the like. Anyone here collect or have any? There are lots of resellers online, but want to shop somewhere safe so looking for recommendations.

I was waiting for Tsume to make a Luffy but more and more it seems that isn't happening.

Missed the last two WCF sets on my seller and now they're skyrocketing on YAJ and Manadarake.

I've seen some American shops selling the entire sets on preorder. May need to start just going for those.

Sadly those are the special order ones from Shonen Jump, a bit trickier to get your hands on. Keeping an eye out myself for them :D

Just back from Tokyo again and I had decided to wait until going back to grab a bunch of WCF, terrible idea. Loads have skyrocketed in price. Will be grabbing them monthly from Manda now.

Speaking of which, I used to use "SnowSakura" for release dates of prize goods, anyone have a new source? I know the Bandai prize catalogues still exist, but can't find digital ones with the week of each month they're due out anymore.

Good idea to say where in the world you are as shipping may be costly for some and maybe some requested prices even if higher than what you'll take for people to make an offer. I know personally things for sale without any sort of pricing instantly puts me off.

For the paint get a "Flash Magic Eraser", that's what they're called in the UK, not sure where you are. They work wonders.

One Punch man's second season going to a different studio isn't surprising. Madhouse do that a lot. The talk of doom and gloom and the death of Manga has come and gone many times, been reading well over 20 years here and it's just going through some changes.

It's more likely the fans of the last generation feel it is "dying" because their series are coming to a close, new things are coming and they aren't necessarily connecting with them, for whatever reason.

If you're interested in an interesting look at the topic, it's well worth checking out Super Eyepatch Wolf's video. I've come to adore his stuff.

It gives a fantastic perspective on the popularity of certain Manga and why Shueisha is aiming for smaller series.

There's a huge amount of Manga out there and while it may not have the same boom in the West at the moment as stuff like AoT or Naruto or Bleach had, it may again. Personally I find I'm more invested in series like Dr Stone and Neverland at the moment, while still massively growing my physical Manga collection with new stuff.

I don't collect much merch these days though. The Logokikaku, the WCF and the like.

I think Jump will be here long after any of us are.

Personally looking for Jump 50th anniversary stuff and just not finding it anywhere. Such as the Logos and the WCF. Really getting annoying.

Could do with an update to the shop list methinks, I tend to only shop at Mandarake these days, where are the rest of ya'll shopping?

The next nightmare to track down!

God damn WCF is getting a pain in the arse to track down, newer sets rarely appearing on Mandarake or Rakuten anymore. History of Sabo was bad enough but I've had zero luck with Punk Hazard now, really beginning to bother me.

Glorious Island is still in the One Piece style, comparing screenshots from the ep and that model it's completely different. I'm happy to have ecchi Nami merch but to me it doesn't look One Piece, it honestly looks Queen's Blade.

That looks more like a Queen's Blade type model than Nami… seriously the shape and style of her... assets... just looks wrong.

I've been hunting an Oda auto for a long, long time. There are a ton of fakes sadly, especially on YAJ. Mandarake Auctions are the best place as they're all verified. Unfortunately kinda impossible to prove validity without seeing it in person or taking it to an expert.

For a price comparison, the pieces that often to the rounds are sign boards which tend to be a reprinted doodle with a legitimate auto, these are usually quite small and for Oda you're looking at about 15,000Y. The other thing that is often available are either signed manuscript reproductions from JUMP competitions and the like which go for about 30,000Y and finally there are reprints of colour spreads, limited produced prints which are signed, these go for between 50,000Y to 75,000Y dependent on the art.

For a real sketch, not reproduced, we're talking hundreds of thousands of yen depending on the sketch itself. If yours is legit, auto real and the sketch isn't a reproduction I'd say easily hundreds of thousands. I'm betting that's a reproduced sketch with a real auto from an older JUMP competition/promotion but it's not one I'm familiar with.

The latest shown WCF look great, will be getting the whole History of Law set.

I find often the problem with buying or selling in this hobby is that sellers expect to get a lot more than you can grab pieces of Mandarake regularly…

So I'm hoping to get a bunch of "Fisher Price" style toys, the ones that say the animal names/colours/alphabet etc when you press them in Japanese. Does anyone here have any knowledge of such?

I've found a few flashcards and even "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" but no early learning toys as of yet.

Pretty sure I've said this before, but she's by far my favourite Nami POP of all. I'm not sure if the 2Y version will top this one for me since I prefer Nami with short hair.

I love this figure! Her anatomy is great, nice combination between realism and One Piece style, I love how they coloured her, her hair looks very beautiful! Many crisp details in it too. Amazing gradients on the hat as well, and the texture on both jeans and hat looks splendid! And I loooooooooooooooooooove that they added some pink/reddish tone to her hands and feet! ^____________^ It looks so natural and so cute!
The best part is of course her face ^O^ She finally looks like herself! And that cheerful smile! Perfect!

I don't give a slightest damn about clothes she's wearing. Nami changes them every arc anyway!

Absolutely gutted. I'm heading to Universal Studios Osaka 5 days after the new big One Piece event ends :( looks like the Sanji cafe will be closed too… anyone know if they'll still be selling the exclusive merch?

They are high quality art prints, basically a digital print on photographic paper, so they look almost like the original. They were pretty expensive at about 20,000 yen when released and limited to 10,000 prints. They aren't signed which is disappointing. They are professionally framed and quite big. I have one of Luffy, Nami and Zoro that I got 4 years ago. It's still in the box. Amazingly, somebody is trying to sell one for 150,000 yen on amazon jp. wow.

I have two autographs from Oda, one from an animator, a couple from the editorial staff etc.
I haven't asked the VAs for autographs yet because I'm waiting for an appropriate time.

Since animation cels don't exist anymore they become increasingly difficult to find but Mandarake sometimes has the old ones.

As far as Oda's autograph, unless you plan to get into the industry your best bet is Usopp's Gallery unless you wanna dedicate yourself to actually being part of the staff or becoming famous. Don't buy the crap on Yahoo. The vast majority are fake.

Thanks so much for the reply Greg, I had a feeling it would be unlikely but was hoping that perhaps he had done a bunch of signings and that some pieces were out there in the wild if I could just find the right places.

When I visited Toei they showed some of the older cels and lots of design sheets and the like but I've never been able to track down a One Piece one.

Was debating making a thread for this or perhaps in request but here goes:

I travel to Japan every year, buying various merch and the like, visited Toei numerous times and have a bunch of things that aren't for sale etc. But this year in Tokyo will mark my 30th birthday and I want to get something… special from One Piece.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go for such or what is available? Also as an aside anyone here have the like? Animation cels/sketches from Toei/ autographs from Oda etc?

Wonder when we'll actually get them though! Find it hard to find information on any WCF other than OP. Remember the Naruto ones we saw an a age ago?

Anyone know for example if this set of Jump Stars is the last?

I'm having a nightmare tracking down Marvel and DC Bishoujos at sensible prices, any know of a place to get em? After Scarlet Witch, Bat Girl, Rogue… would love a Catwoman but that's highly unlikely.
