By the end of the series I wonder what will be the strongest Mythical Zoan fruit, a dragon does seem pretty high on the list. But Is it the strongest though? Who knows, oh which reminds me why aren't there more mythical df users in the story.

I don't know, Luffy would give a better impression to me if he wasn't justifying what he did with so many words.

A simple line like "Pirate King doesn't run from anyone" delivered while smiling with eyes concealed would have sufficed. In short, he kinda talks too much.

I feel as if Oda had to do it the way he did for a reason, only because to me it felt as if it was required of him, like he put him self in this postion where he felt like he couldn't it execute much differently than what he settled with [possibly for progression purposes?] Hmmm I guess it could still very well be handled differently with the same end result. Huh, I guess i just debunked my own post in a way, well anyway Luffy's speech didn't quite match my expectations/preferences on how I imagined the scene being handled, so he explained Luffy's actions such as he did because otherwise it wouldn't be taken entirely in a literal context to eliminate it being just thought of as Luffy simply boasting while being cool for the sake being cool. I think that gave it a more logical approach behind Luffy's explanation without making him sound ignorant in anyway, which in turn didn't leave many questions left behind so that's kinda of a plus, so I think it worked out pretty swell… Ohhhh and other than that I agree with your post 100%. I'm still not positive how someone couldn't agree with your post, but that's just me. First I was thinking exactly the same as you did but it bothered me slightly and got me thinking of another view/prespective of thought to come up with more reasonings to think about outside of the final draft we were presented with etc. etc.. Basically I wish I could hang out with Oda to figure out his logic behind the direction that he takes in his manga.... I mean at least some explaintion behind his decisions in person would be not only amazing but also be good enough to put me at ease regardless of the answer. I might even prefer a comedic answer than a real answer from Oda

Some fruits are just more limited than others. OP isn't an online game so that everything needs to be balanced. Some fruits have awesome fighting potential and some fruits just aren't that good.

Devil Fruit control is big part of the question but I truly believe it's actually an Indisputable fact that what "tools" aka (Devil Fruit) you have at your disposal really plays the greatest part in this equation. Started the first book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, watched all of Game of Thrones about 3 times at this point and figured I like the show enough to actually start reading again.

300 pages read so far.

I know I'm guilty of hyping things up in the past but I insist You guys watch the latest episode of One Piece. Will go down as one of the best episodes ever. Did the manga justice and then some.

I was just about to in about 10 minutes, I haven't watched any episodes these past few months so I hope your not trying to trick me or something :ninja:

Bleach and Fairy Tail fights are even worse, they're garbage. Naruto is mostly mediocre too, but some of pre shippuden(?) fights like Shikamaru's fights are better than any in One Piece. One Piece simply shines in every other area that is not combat. Go flip :)

Early Naruto fights were great, but combat in One Piece is great too so I can't understand your point of view on this. Naruto has a more relastic approach in part 1 so I'll give you that coupled with more strategic battles that were more about ninja tactics and how to counter them to an extent.. excluding chakra of course, because for the most part it had a lot of hand to hand combat that, imo was more believable from a real world stand point.

Basically Naruto had awesome battle: Yes and so has One Piece: Again yes, so to say ones battles completely outshine the other is a tough call. Both have their pros and cons, and for you Naruto's battles outweighs the pros of One Pieces's battles but for me the scale doesn't quite dwarf One Piece's Pro's to that end. Also I forgot to mention I don't think One Piece fights are mediocre overall, there is quite a bit of creativity in the mix.

If anything Kanjuro helped this arc he's weird and i like that

Because it was one of those bandwagon type things, he was fun to hate at that time so people hopped on board.

Well, I still think that Marshall awakened his Logia and with his sub-power of "pull everything", he pulled WB power.

Meaning he didn't even have to eat the fruit, which is pretty neat.

Not really a cop out since Oda fucked up by making Doffy to strong for Luffy so it only makes sense to me in my eyes.
