Just finished reading the three recent chapters of Conan. It was pretty good. I have to admit I didn't expected Kogoro to be taken out for most of the case. Man, I feel real bad for Heiji this time around. He was real close of getting his confession out to Kazuha this time around.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
@Blake-Bakes-Cakes It's depends which version of the Crunchyroll app, you're using. On the Crunchyroll roku app, they still got the dub and sub as separate seasons. While on the fire stick and most of the other version of app have already merge the dub and sub together.

RE: Lupin the 3rd

RE: Non-Disney animation thread
The new Adult Swim block, Checkered Past started today. Man, it's just great to see Dexter Lab, Ed,Edd, n Eddy, Courage, and Billy and Mandy back on tv again. The bumper that they use for the block are great. They had this cool one with Dee Dee sitting on the beach looking out towards the ocean. I hope eventually Checkered Past show Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, KND, and the PPG (the original).

RE: Go Go Power Rangers… to Krispy Kreme!

@Blake-Bakes-Cakes said in Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ):
That’s weird, Toeis tweet claimed the voyage goes to 1012, however CRs article and tweet claims it goes to 1013.
They're probably counting the recap episode as well. Which makes it 13 episodes.

RE: General Gundam Thread
I have finished the final episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam. Man, the last few episodes were crazy from all inner fighting between the Zabi Family members to Char dealing them a final blow during the final episodes. The reveal about the Newtype stuff during the final episodes was really interesting, since it really important thing in pretty much almost of the future Gundam stuff. Amuro and Lalah's fight on Episode 40 was great and the animation during it was fantastic.
I'm starting a rewatch of 8th MS Team. Since I haven't seen the series, since it aired on Toonami back in the day.

RE: RIP Those We Lost in 2023
Pro Wrestler Windham Rotunda aka Bray Wyatt passed away. This one really hurts. I been fan of Bray for 10 years now. Bray was really creative wrestler in my opinion. Especially during his NXT run as the leader of the Wyatt Family and his Fiend run was also really cool. He will be missed.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Another update on catching up on the dub. I'm currently at Episode 839 (The Big Germa 66 Super Sentai transformation episode). The dub did a great job on the Wedding/Tea Party episodes. I only heard the dub voice of Big News Morgans before during Stampede. Now that I heard more of Morgans english voice, I really like it. Same for Oven's dub voice as well, since I only heard his english dub voice with Film Red until now. I like Stussy english voice as well. It fits her character perfectly. The Brook stuff in the english dub of Whole Cake Island continues to be amazing, and it been a highlight of the dub for this arc.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
I think the recap specials will be dub. Since that the Film Red Shanks recap episode got dub. Plus the recap episodes were part of the main volumes on japanese home video release of the series with the actual episodes.

RE: RIP Those We Lost in 2023
Legendary Pro Wrestler, Terry Funk have passed away. This one kinda hit me hard, since Terry had alot great moments in pro wrestling like the infamous fans throwing chairs into the ring during a ECW show. Terry will be missed. And remember Don't give up. Fight Forever.

RE: Western Comics thread
@pariston_hill The second run. Since I got the graphic novel release, which count both Wilson runs as an 10 volumes series.
-
RE: Western Comics thread
I fell behind on Marvel stuff, since I finished the original Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) series. So I don't know what been going on with alot of the series. Since it was on sale today, I got the first two volumes of the current She-Hulk series. I only read through the first volume so far, and I'm enjoying it. So far, this She-Hulk series is great as the Dan Slott run in my opinion. I'm really liking all the call backs to the Avengers Disassembled. Since Disassembled - Avengers Vs. X-Men was the period that I really followed what was going on in Marvel.

RE: General Ninja Turtles thread
The first two seasons of TMNT 1987 is coming to Paramount+ on September 19th.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Another update on my dub catch up. I'm up to episode 827, which is the beginning of the Straw Hats and Fire Tank pirates meeting before the Tea Party. I want to mention that the dub did a great job on the Brook vs. Big Mom episodes as well the Sanji finding out about Pudding's true intention. Pudding's english voice actress did an amazing job on the Pudding's heel turn.

Crunchyroll's November releases are out. No One Piece releases for November.
-
RE: Lupin the 3rd
I recently got Lupin the Third: Farewell to Nostradamus bluray. I thought the movie was really great. I really like the animation throughout the movie. Julia's running gag with Lupin made me laugh, especially when she and Zenigata were stuck in the suitcase together. The VR scene during the climax in the movie was also really cool.

RE: General Gundam Thread
I'm up to Episode 37 of Mobile Suit Gundam. The last couple episode that I watch were crazy in my opinion. The Big Zam battle was pretty great. Also the Char and Sayla stuff is getting intense. Also I want to mention that Ryu and Matilda's deaths as well the aftermath episodes hit me really hard.

RE: General Ninja Turtles thread
On the Totally Turtles channel, there are now up to beginning of Season 4 (the final syndication episodes before the move to CBS Saturday Morning episodes during the middle of Season 4) of the original series. I still enjoyed the third and fourth season of the original series. Since these the episodes I watch alot of due to the Family Home Entertainment vhs tapes. I will say alot of the episodes that I watch so far of the Season 3 and 4 episodes looks way better then the Liongate dvd releases. I don't know if its because Nick got a better video masters of the show or not.

RE: A New Anime Opening + ENDINGS ARE COMING BACK!!!
Here is the textless version of the new ending song, Raise.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Netflix did similar thing with the episodes during the Davy Back Fights and early Water 7 with them using the ending 14 animation but used the next ending song (Ending 15, Eternal Pose) audio. It really strange, since Crunchyroll on the dub episodes got all the songs that used on the home video release (Expect for Ending 14.). And on the Pluto tv stream, they have the Crunchyroll masters of the sub episodes. Which are missing alot of songs and stuff.

Manga Entertainment/Crunchyroll release the One Piece tv series in the UK. While Anime Limited got the rights for One Piece Film Red in the UK.

RE: 1071: ''Luffy's Peak - Obtained! 'Gear Fifth'''
I just finished watching Episode 1071. Really great episode in my opinion. There alot of things that I like about this episode, and I didn't mind all the recaps and stuff. I really like the animation for Gear 5. it was a great tribute to Hanna Barbera, Tex Avery, and Looney Tunes. I know, it wasn't going to happen, but I was waiting Kaido to say the infamous Tom from Tom and Jerry line, "Don't you believe it!".
The new ending song is really great and the I like the animation for it.

RE: 1071: ''Luffy's Peak - Obtained! 'Gear Fifth'''
And Crunchyroll have crashed.
-
RE: 1071: ''Luffy's Peak - Obtained! 'Gear Fifth'''
Warning for tonight. Crunchyroll and Funimation might crash, since we all know this episode is a really big episode. I remember when Episodes 807 and 808 (The hour long Luffy vs. Sanji special) came out, Crunchyroll and Funimation crashed (It also happened the previous week with the Dragon Ball Super: Goku Vs. Jiren hour long special.). So be patient with both Crunchyroll and Funimation tonight. I'm going to wait and watch the episode tomorrow.

RE: The Super Mario Bros. Movie
I finally got a chance to watch the movie today, since they added it to Peacock. I really enjoyed the movie. It pretty much have everything I want for a Mario movie. I really enjoyed Jack Black and Charlie Day's performance as Bowser and Luigi.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion IV (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Another update on my progress of catching up on the dub. I'm up to Episode 812 (The beginning of Brook and Pedro's raid on Big Mom's chateau.) Since she debut on Episode 812 and she's one of my favorite villains of the series. I really like the english dub voice of Smoothie and the voice fits the character perfectly in my opinion. I'm familiar with Smoothie's english voice actress with her performance as Kale on Dragon Ball Super, which I thought she did a great job on as well.
-
RE: General Gundam Thread
I'm middle of my first watch through of Mobile Suit Gundam. I'm currently up to Episode 15 so far. The Zabi family are really interesting villains so far. I already have feeling there is going to be big conflict between the Zabi Family and Char sooner or later.

RE: Official Pretty Cure topic
Good episode of Soaring Sky this week. I did got a laugh about Minoton in his trench coat in the middle of summer joke. I'm happy to see Cure Peach on this week, retro Pretty Cure character. The characters in Fresh Pretty Cure were great and it just great to see Cure Peach again.

RE: General Ninja Turtles thread
From what I watch so far on the Pluto tv Totally Turtles channel stream for the 1987 series. I can say the version of the episodes that Nickelodeon and Paramount got looks way better then what we got on the dvd. I'm more curious to see how the episodes of Season 3 and Season 4 looks. Since several episodes on the Season 3 dvds didn't look really good look like they were from the Family home Entertainment releases.

RE: General Ninja Turtles thread
It's crazy Seth Rogen is involved as a producer with alot of the great recent animated projects with this movie and Invincible. Its making me really optimist for the upcoming Darkwing Duck series that he's involved in.
