Persona 5, baby! Been getting my a$$ mopped since Friday, and I'm loving it! Definitely the most brutal HARD mode in the series.

RE: My Hero Academia - Gomu Gomu no Gentle Fist
This phase does not engender competition though. Anyone that stays above 50 points passes.
Competition was necessary in the first phase because there's not enough resources to accommodate everybody.
Several of those test-takers have trained though. Many are 2nd years.
And again, this is a test. The government is not responsible for making them work together. That's the school's job to make them more cooperative.
Again, this a test. It's not meant to nurture anyone. That's the job of their schools.
People that are intelligent and cooperative enough to work with others are going to pass. Judgement, decision-making, all those things are being judged as well.
It's like you're not reading the chapters at all. Those things are being outright stated and you're ignoring them.
Points are docked. Everybody starts with 100 points. Remaining with 50 points passes. This was explained in this chapter.
Judging is done by the victims (according to rescue methods and teamwork) and the suits in the chairs (according to fighting methods and teamwork).
Please, don't make yourself look dumb. This shit was all explained.
The government itself explains all this in the first page.
You haven't. Your criticism is generic. And your questions are answered in the first pages.

Remember that Inasa is a different type of person. He has this philosophy, and it was broken.
Plus, it's not like Stain was overreacting either. Killing people because they dared to think about themselves. Never mind that he generalized this view into all heroes, including Ingenium.
Shut him down!!!!!!!!

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
So I'd say this revelation about Nanao not having her own zan makes everything nimaya said about the importance of the zan complete bullshit.
That is supremely illogical. Yes one character being deficient outweighs the entirety of the series upholding the importance placed on the relationship between shinigami and zanpakutou.
She was unable to produce a zan using the asauchi because her zanpakutou had the legacy of the Ise clan, so she'd INHERIT her zanpakutou, and I'm assuming, ultimately bypass the whole process to begin with.
-
RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Wait. How is Nanao's mother able to suppress hollows? The Ancient-Holy-Cursed-Relic sword apparently hurts the wielder, and we were told it was only used for rituals. And how can Nanao have no sword fighting experience? She had gone to the academy and trained with an asauchi.
Bottom two panels. All you gotta do is open your eyes a bit.

RE: Oricon Manga sales
It's sad to see how much bleach declined:/ Has it really gotten that bad to the Japanese people? or is it the lack of advertisement and anime? Hmmmmmm
Still edges out stuff like Gintama, even without an anime.
And while it's declined overall, many more of my high school students here enjoy it than I realized.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Another thing to keep in mind is that while sales are important, something that doesn't get factored into a series popularity are manga rentals, to the best of my knowledge.
Also, the resell culture for used manga is much different when compared to the states and other markets.
Again, open acknowledgement that BLEACH's popularity has obviously declined. But a series is more than just sales, and that goes for any series.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Not really, only the extremelly arrogant secondary villains
! Steely Dan, Rubber Soul or ones that sort of need to explain it
! the D´Arbys, Ringo Roadagain [/spoilers].
! I´m pretty sure that that doesn´t happen in around 80% of the Jojo fights.
! –- Update From New Post Merge ---
! The characters explaining it might actually be reasonable in some situations.
I´ve already said that I think Shunsui needs to explain his because of it´s powers, and I also agree that Lille seem to be a "gentleman" about Shunsui sharing some info and giving his own.
! My problem is how frequent it is, and how it backfires a lot of the times.
It´s like no matter what character we are talking about, the rash one, the calm one, the reasonable one, the tricky one, the smarty one, the cocky one, every single one of these different personalities have one thing in common: The unexplanable need to always explain their fucking power out loud in deadly situations.
! This gets even worse if you consider that one chapter ago the character was moaning about how it didn´t want to use his power because insert reason.
! Also, maybe in Lille´s case, we can´t figure out how to beat him just from that, but in other cases we did: Rose, Shinji (HE ACTUALLY TOLD HIM HOW TO DO IT), Kira (despite the opponent not actually defetaing him and so on and on).
In more simple abilities, like Kira´s for example, saying his power instead of trying to get opponent off guard is just pure suicide.
! Fair and valid points. I don't deny some of the more fail worthy moments. Lol. Thanks for the refresher though. Rose…. damn. -
RE: My Hero Academia - Gomu Gomu no Gentle Fist
@TLC:
So the super special secret backstory Bakugo has on why he is a ginormous douchenozzle and the reason behind his entire rotten attitude is…he just doesn't like to lose? But he liked All Might a lot when he was a kid!~ That totally justifies his becoming a rotten bully.
For a chapter titled Bakugo: The Origin, it sure was light on the origin part. Can we get the piece of backstory on whe he became an asshole? Did Deku bully him in preschool? Something that could possibly justify his character?
I see what the author is going for her but the execution falls flat. Him finally working with Deku is supposed to be this big moment but it falls flat on its face because the emotional thrust of it is that he hates Deku for no reason to the point that it makes him sick to work with him. And I'm supposed to root for this guy, for this team up? The chapter sure frames it that way. Oh poor Bakugo, look at how much he had to sacrifice, he had to NOT BE AN ASSHOLE TO THIS GUY. What a hero!
And before someone tells me that a good character doesn't have to be likable, I agree, the problem is that Bakugo is not interesting either. He's just this shallow shitheel that the manga keeps putting this emotional weight on without ever following through, at best he's very inconsistently written and at worst, he's just insufferable. Which is a shame because out of context I used to like his over the top antics before I read the whole series from the start and got the context of the character.
All Might was cool, can we get more of him beating the shit out of Bakugo please?
I'm sorry but you're missing a lot of the thrust. It's fine that you like to hold magnifying glasses to things (you have a rep for kind of going overkill with your analysis, which is fine, no harm no foul), but a lot of Bakugou's character is not super developed, a lot of his bullying and hate for Deku comes from the fact that 1. Baku has a superiority complex (the root of which, we don't know, so I agree, seeing that would be great, but even if we don't see it immediately, there's still room for it later on). From chapter one, he hated the fact that "Deku with no individuality/quirk" would even mention himself in the same breadth as Bakugou. From wanting to be a hero, to wanting enter Yuuei, everything about Deku seems to aggravate Bakugou. In the real world, there are people like that, I'm sure you're aware. We're not all mind readers, and not everyone has a reason, let alone a good reason, for being the way they are or doing the things they do. Some people are in fact assholes, caused by a multitude of factors, and were we to have received some simply wrapped present explaining Bakugou's actions, that'd be kind of weak.
Todoroki got a big chunk of solid development that helped carve a pretty damn good character arc thus far. Maybe Horikoshi is still thinking up stuff or waiting to give more background. Seeing the results of this team-up will be more important than the backstory that pre-empted it. If anything, it added some more intrigue as to why Bakugou is the way he is. If HORI does not deliver, then, yes, it will be a missed opportunity but I still have hope.
2. To say that the execution falls flat when the kid is literally crying because he has to admit he needs to rely on Deku…. you're too hung up on things not progressing the way you want to acknowledge how moving that is. Unless you're specifically referring to the origin story and not the chapter as a whole. This is the 2nd time Deku has come to Bakugou's rescue, and that was when Deku didn't have a quirk. To see how much he's improving is more than likely pretty tough for someone with all of the expectations that Bakugou is carrying: living up to his power, idolizing All Might (which is a really nice touch, and more salt in the wound, considering Deku and All Might's relationship), among some other things. I could definitely use a refresher for the series since it's been about a year of serialization, but giving the first two Japanese volumes to several of my students and recommending the series as a whole to many other students to read, has been a refresher of sorts. but those aspects of Bakugou's character are great. Along with the concern he showed for Uraraka during the tournament, and the battle he had against Todoroki.
Someone else may have addressed some of things, I didn't have the time to check the rest of the thread. Just had 2 cents to throw in.

RE: Go Go Power Rangers… to Krispy Kreme!
Cool! I feel Billy may be the easiest of the remaining to cast. The others will be the most divisive and more difficult to nail. We'll see what happens though!
-
RE: Go Go Power Rangers… to Krispy Kreme!
I approve! She looks the part.
As for her credits, I have no idea. Amy Jo had some experience though I wouldn't call her the greatest actress to have ever lived. As new Kimberly brings fun and enthusiasm to the part, it'll be great.
I really wanna see the suits!

RE: My Hero Academia - Gomu Gomu no Gentle Fist
Phew! Glad to see that the readers' are sensible and Deku is number 1! If Todoroki would have taken that spot…. I would have been HOT! Lol. Greatly anticipating the chapter.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Hol' up, hol' up, hol' up….
Now, being the fan of BLEACH that I am, there are chapters that I enjoy and chapters that I don't.
This chapter hovered in the middle for me. A little slow, nice seeing Shinji and Hinamori, the Old man Yama and Ukitake allusions, some cool art, a transformation... meaning the ante is being upped, a lack of excitement coming off of the last chapter and the Mayuri fights, etc., etc.
HOWEVER, everyone seems to always call out 'why are they explaining their powers? That's stupid."
I'm not retroactively going to defend all of the past examples of this (Notably, when Shinji was trying to be hot shit against Aizen... that was the biggest SMH moment for me), but in the context of this fight, one might look at it from the vantage point of honor. Granted that Kubo didn't explicitly give us the internal thoughts of the X-axis, and one can argue the effectiveness of getting this message across...
But last chapter, we had Shunsui explaining how to play the game, in which the X-Axis called him out for explaining the rules, and thus putting himself at a disadvantage. Much in the same way, the X-Axis offered an explanation of his eye powers, so maybe there was that give and take, accompanied by the fact that the X-Axis is Bach's most IMPRESSIVE creation, the whole GOD thing, being able to always hit his mark, there is a sense of superiority be touted here.
Not only that, but we as reader's know the powers but that doesn't automatically mean there's a solution to winning, does there? Like, can y'all think of a way to defeat the X-Axis based on his explanation? Granted, we're not Shunsui and we don't know the extent of his powers, and that the act of the reveal of one's power set is disadvantageous, but as of right now, The X-Axis revealed that his eye is open and he can't be cut/injured. Whether he says it or Shunsui spends several "large" panels to figure it out, doesn't matter if the conclusion is the same.
And there's the whole show vs. tell.... but that's kind of stupid when applied to comics, I think. And the way in which y'all scrutinize these pieces of entertainment as if they are something greater, is also a futile exercise. It's a topic for another conversation, definitely, regarding serialization and the change in an audience over such a long period of time, demographically speaking. There's probably a better way of wording that but I do not possess the vocabulary, nor the know-how to do so at the time.
Anyway, just offering my two cents.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
On another note, I don't see how y'all consume entertainment and constantly compare it to something else. I mean, I guess we all do that to some degree. But...
Anyway, everyone does them. Like what you like, dislike what you gonna dislike.

RE: Super Smash Bros
Though it's mostly due to the change in my hairstyle,
I'd love to see Knuckles in the game! I know two sonic reps would be overkill but seeing how he plays in Project M, I think it'd be fun.
I've also never played Rhythm Heaven but the Chorus Kids have a dope design.
Another retro-ish character would be cool too.

Sometimes I get annoyed at how Kubo's characters behave completely the same no matter what the circumstance. But then I move on with my life because it isn't worth it.
"If it can be said
that it is the heart that is unchanging,
then that is the strength."The character poem from volume 54 for Rukia kind of sums it up.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Greetings again, APForum. Some of you may recognize me, other's may not. I'm the resident enthusiast of BLEACH on the forum, the monkey in a den of tigers and other ferocious beasts (do tigers eat monkeys? Maybe I'm more a gazelle…or better still, A ZEBRA).
Anyway, I caused a minor ruckus way back in 2011, sometime around the time of the tragedy in Tohoku for expressing opinions counter to the established laws of the land. Some things, I admit, were a little childish, as far as choosing the right words to say, but my overall thought process and logic were sound, IMHO. That experience in particular was eye opening for me and remains an important moment for me, because at the time, I also began creating YouTube videos discussing some of the very subjects, mainly manga, the big three and other anime, then eventually BLEACH, then nothing at all, really. Neither here, nor there. Feel free to venture into the past if you want to see who I was 4 years ago. It's always funny going back and having a look at my petty debates with members who have sense left, been banned, or made new accounts.
Over the course of BLEACH's serialization, and notably as of maybe a year ago, my interest in it fluctuate very much. For me, the pinnacle of cool happened around the time of Aizen's battle in FKT with the other captains. The Vizards return, the mindf!cks, the art, Tousen's mask reveal, through Deicide and Isshin's return, Ichigo's hyperbolic experience, until Aizen's eventual defeat were all moments of great excitement for me. Even the Lost Agent arc was enjoyable! The start of the Thousand Year Blood War was interesting, if a little slow, with some coo, wholly inclusive moments as directed by the series ending, up until the Closing Chapter. Needless to say, as I got older and real life became much more pressing, my interest dwindled at points (more so because of the weekly releases, but I haven't reflected too much on my actual feelings toward the story). Though, when anything comes under heavy scrutiny, the cracks are gonna show, there's no way around it. But, in essence, the same things I enjoyed about BLEACH were also there, along with some new things being added into the mix.
I was first introduced to BLEACH in high school. It was the first fansub I'd ever downloaded at the time, using the first computer I'd ever own that my mother bought me.
-> tangent, my first batch of subs were BLEACH, BECK, Honey & Clover... and maybe something else. But all of these series were series in which I knew literally nothing about. It was the titles that stood out. I was also watching Naruto during the time, as most of us probably were, however, that was a hook-up from a friend who burned the first 90 episodes on about 20000000000 discs. Lol. Hyperbole, but it was a sh!t ton of discs.
->-> Tanget #2: my taste in anime is not solely unique or anything special. People like what they like, and at the end of the day, there's nothing wrong with that. But I wanted to sneak in my Top 5 because that will ultimately give you an idea of who I am, as do most Top favorite anythings do (note, order is inconsequential, though, I guess I'll just go with chronology by release):
Touch, Cowboy Bebop, Honey & Clover, NANA, Your Lie in April /end
I was drawn to the funky, edgy character designs, as most original fans of BLEACH have mentioned before. I'm also a big fan of swords, which is why I was immediately drawn to BLEACH, no knock to One Piece or Naruto. but swords aren't central to either of those stories. It's obvious, but I want to point out the obvious, that any form of art, entertainment, media has strengths and weaknesses. Those aspects are natural. People grow and change over time, and making anything takes a toll on the body, especially the harsh realities we've come to know about the anime and comic industry in Japan.
With that being said, and I ran into some heat for this kind of thinking when I came to the board originally, there are things that BLEACH does better than One Piece and Naruto, and vice-versa. For instance, a common criticism of BLEACH is the overly large panels, compared to something like One Piece, and to a slightly lesser degree, Naruto, which is jam-packed full of action and detail, Kubo likes things sparse. But the weakness can be seen as a strength. While the detail in OP is great and all, the panels are very static. There is hardly any sense of movement between panels, no visual tricks to be had. All of the motion takes place in the panel, minus the occasional Luffy special attack that allows his stretch body to span through panels, especially double splash pages.
With that being said, I want to elaborate on what I like about BLEACH, not everything, simply...
BOOKED MARKED LIKE Tsukishima... I will come back to this.
TO BE CONTINUED ON BLEACH

RE: Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs
Hmmm. I personally was hoping for Charlie Rowe, based on nothing but looks. Maybe he was too Andrew Garfield-y for the execs and/or couldn't connect with Evans and RDJ as well. Kanye West shrug
While I'm not super excited (see: indifferent) I think that Tom Holland and Marvel/Sony can etch out a completely different PP/Spidey than previous iterations. He'll definitely be firmly in the middle of geeky-horribad Tobey Maguire and too-cool-for-school Andrew Garfield, and I hope they can capitalize on that.
I'm more interested in seeing the costume! Considering the ASM2 costume was pretty damn perfect, I wonder what it'll look like on someone of a different build and what tweaks they'll make to distinguish it from previous versions.
-
RE: My Hero Academia - Gomu Gomu no Gentle Fist
The entire situation post-fight is tinged with concern/recognition of Uraraka's abilities. There's also another scene where the other students are berating Bakugou for attacking such a "fragile girl" to which he responds, "Where do you see fragile?"
While Bakugou doesn't have a full 180 change of heart, he's definitely being fleshed out and developing beyond the surface level "Things go Boom, I'll Kill you all, I'm the best attitude."
-
RE: My Hero Academia - Gomu Gomu no Gentle Fist
I never thought of it as Bakugo showing concern for Uraraka, I think he was just annoyed about Midoriya giving her a plan to won. He certainly never had enough concern to hold back during the fight.
Bakugou says to Midoriya: "You put that shitty plan in her head, right? The plan that had her fling herself around so dangerously!"
He is definitely showing concern.

RE: New Mega Man TV series
Yeah. Battle Network is super dope! Pokemon wishes it could be half as fun as the BN games, especially BN3.

RE: Animation Spring 2015
Man that last episode of Hibike Euphonium. There's just something about how organic the characters feel and how natural the dialogue between characters is that just feels so damn refreshing. It's not like the characters don't fit into archetypes but they really extend as individuals way past their archetype and they feel like people instead of anime characters. It also helps that the show is visually gorgeous, has great cinematography and is centered around subject matter that I can relate to, brass band.
This is the most I've enjoyed a Kyoani show since Hyouka.
Nice! Looking forward to catching up with Sound! Euphonium when the season is finished.
I'm currently 14 episodes deep in Hyouka and it's pretty flipping great.

I think they do but can't definitively say–but I'd probably get on a train if you really want to see something. Sucks to pay that on top of your ticket but guess that's the breaks.
Yeah, seems like traveling out will be the most likely scenario. Probably end up driving to the nearest stations to travel to Osaka or Kyoto for DB and Avengers then.
Thanks a lot!
-
RE: Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs
@Steven:
Someone once told me it was in order to boost domestic releases, but that just doesn't make sense. I think it has to do with a lot of things–perceived interest in the movies or hero (Batman, Spiderman, Fast and Furious, Harry Potter, etc, all get pretty speedy releases here--Captain America or Avengers? Not so much.), translation/localization stuff (a lot of comedies and U.S. centric humor doesn't get wide release), and structuring movie releases around the Japanese yearly schedule, when more people can go to see them.
That makes sense. In that regard, July is a perfect time to do that.
I still wanna make my way to see Dragon Ball but it's not here in the boonies, unfortunately. Do you know if movies eventually make there way to less prominent theaters here in Japan? I know Baymax was playing around where I live, but I don't know if it was rolled out to the big cities and the country at the same time.
-
RE: Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs
@Steven:
Lol, it doesn't come out until July over here. Luckily I'm not super excited about it or anything, but it looks like I'll have to see it…some other way.

RE: Fresh Off The Boat
@Monkey:
Yeah the Beastie Boys don't exactly strike me as gangster by any stretch of imagination.
Yeah, completely forgot about that! The music is just another aspect of the 90s. Just another outlet of voices that resonated with displaced Eddie Huang and a few other characters.
-
RE: DC Movies Thread - Shazam saves the day
As someone who feels that Man of Steel is atrocious, I can say that I am looking forward to BvS. Though it will probably be more of the same, I just hope that the story actually flows logically and isn't just another clip show without transitions between scenes.
-
RE: Fresh Off The Boat
I really enjoy this series. I still can't stand Eddie though. But I've never liked little kids that try to be "gangster". Or adults for that matter…So mid 90s were a time that I remember liking and hating lol. Stupid gangster rap...ugh.
But everyone else I really like. The mother and father are hilarious. And I adore the little brothers.
The first episode though I nearly dropped the series altogether. It felt like they were trying to squeeze in how many times they could say "white people" into a single episode. Then there was the bigger racial slur towards the end. The theme song was also off putting. Luckily the song is short and the other episodes were amusing. Yeah there's still a bunch of common stereotypes but I feel the show could have longevity.
Whoa whoa whoa! Had to chime in about the blanket statement "stupid gangster rap." While I'm far from the biggest fan of straight-up gangster rap, I think it's far from stupid. Especially since gangster rap is used to broadly categorize west coast hip-hop. Not every song on any of the albums referenced throughout the series is entirely gangster rap as much as it is just straight up rap music. Sure 2Pac, Biggie, and NWA are gangster rappers but there's definitely versatility and variety throughout their discographies.
While the whole "acting gangster" was definitely an annoying part of the 90s though. And I'm sad that you can't appreciate the awesomeness of Danny Brown in the intro! I can't imagine a better song or voice for the show. But personal preferences are personal preferences.

RE: Dragonball Discussion
Yeah, he's younger than both Yamcha and Tenshinhan, yet looks decades older than both.
That's because Krillin got a baby mama, and for that matter, an actual life. He's got responsibilities! He may look older than both but he also looks a hell of a lot happier.
-
RE: Dragonball Discussion
Yeah! I enjoyed the redesigned Dragon Ball moments a lot as well as the lovely picture of Saiyaman on the hover bike with Videl, Goten, and Trunks! I have yet to find a nice touched up image from the actual opening, only this:

RE: Dragonball Discussion
The best thing about GT is easily the opening "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku" followed by the ending songs "Blue Velvet" and "Don't You See."
The lyrics for the opening are fantastic!
When I first met you,
I remembered a place that I held dear when I was a child.
Won’t you dance with me?
On a winding road of light and shadow, even now, are you lost on him?
There were just a few times where it seemed like I wanted to turn back,
But holding on to love, courage, and pride, I’ll fight on! -
RE: Digimon Adventure Oops All Fights
Sorry for forgetting to reply:
I love the whole album, but i'd have to say Face to Face for its chill beats for night time driving trips, followed closely by crescendolls, which one cannot listen to without moving.
My favourite album would have to be Alive 2007 though tbh, because the remixes are just too good.
All gravy, baby! Thanks for replying. Yeah, I leave the album as well. Face to Face and Crescendolls are great, too.
Something About Us and Veridis Quo are two of my favorites.
I've never checked out Alive 2007 properly. I guess it'll be my "Homework"

RE: Dragonball Discussion
@Yuugi's:
Ultimate Gohan was "Oh, shit, Gohan's supposed to be the main character but I spent the majority of the last two arcs giving him almost no screen time and when I did I pretty much just wrote him as an incompetent idiot. Instead of training for his power like everyone else I'll just give him a magical power up. Whoops, I really don't like Gohan as the main character, so I'm just going to bring Gokuu back! Namekian merging? Useless. Fusion? Useless. Potara earrings? Never mind! Ultimate power drawn out? Eh, whatever!"
At least Super Saiyan God had the added benefit of Toriyama having Gokuu outright mentioning how much he hates the fact that he relied on others for this advancement in power. Whis' training seems to be much more oriented on returning to the sort of philosophy that made Dragon Ball good in the first place: actual training and refinement of one's spirit.
Uhhh. By the time Ultimate came around, Gohan's run as our new main was clearly over… I can't argue that training was swept under the rug though. And Super Saiyan God has the luxury of being introduced without the restraints of serialization, and after a considerable amount of time had passed since the series proper (I'm not privy to all the interviews or the time when the concept arose, but...).
Were you at least a fan of probably two of the most badass dub lines in history?! Note: I vastly prefer the original Japanese to the English

RE: What Are You Listening To Right Now ? [V2]
I'm really enjoying it.
Definitely my new favorite Kendrick album.
He can really do no wrong (at this point let's see if he can go for a three peat).
I really like that he was okay branching out even more and didn't sell out (not that I thought he would) and that he keeps thinking of new creative ways to do things. I've seen people complain about it not having any bangers but it does (like the amazing Alright) but it's different.
I'm so happy it's getting the acclaim and push it deserves.
I may not agree with some of his ideals like the religion pushing he does but he makes it listenable and relatable so you can get the message behind it even if you don't buy into the supernatural aspect like with Jesus Walks from Kanye.
Also I've always hated the words boo boo and I even talked about that two weeks ago but he's made me like saying it so that's an accomplishment.Very well said. I like the cohesion and funk/soul mixed with the raw delivery. I've only had one full listen when it came out. Just been listening to it as it plays on my iPod, but I'm happy. Love the outro on "Mortal Man" too. I co-sign your feelings about the religious aspects but it's not overbearing, and like you said, it's easy to listen and relate to.
Lol @ boo boo.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
The scene was literally a reenactment of the Aizen scene, almost identical. That's not lazy, it's 25 levels below lazy. It's just sad to see an author's creativity drop to these levels. It's not even drawing parallels, it's downright rehashing things for no symbollic or ulterior motive, just Kubo not knowing how to write villains that go beyond the "I planned for what you ate for breakfast so that you'd become stronger!".The action scenes are excruciatingly difficult to follow, too. Kubo's fucking obsession with faux cool close ups messes things up so much, and his sense of flow and spatial disposition is obscenely low.Compared to this, SS is absurdly good.
I'm sorry, but I have to greatly disagree with the action being hard to follow. I agree, there are times when it's hard to discern what's happening, but to say "excruciatingly difficult" is a tad overblown. 9 of every 10 action scenes in Naruto's final 100, heck even 200 chapters was "excruciatingly difficult" to follow, the action this chapter, hardly.

On an unrelated note, nice Interstella 5555 av.
Might I ask what your favorite song is from "Discovery?"

RE: Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs
The movie is out in like a month. At most they COULD be doing a post credit scene, or a quick background nod, ala Hawkeye in the Hulk movie… but they aren't going to twonk anything at this point in the game outside of finalizing special effects.
Spidey will mostly likely appear in Cap 3. Which given its already got damn near everyone else in it already, is basically just turning into Avengers 2.5, its onyl missing Hulk and Thor at this point. (And I guess Vision,Scarlet Witch and QUicksilver).
Some webbing, that's all we ask!

RE: The "Everything-but-Shueisha" Thread
Hey Kaizou10 or anyone else, can I get a refresher on how the ranking system works in Magazine? I remember reading somewhere in this thread or another that popularity is measured differently than Jump's. Thnx

RE: Community
YASSSS! Thank you for posting. Couldn't view the Yahoo version from where I'm at. Looking forward to it! But it is sad not seeing Shirley. At least we have a new "Shirley" to make up for it. Lol.
