Maybe the Oro Jackson being made of the same wood as sunny had something to do with it. It can't be the entire reason, but it may be a factor. It is the only other ship we've ever heard of being made of it.

RE: Who was Roger and Mihawk's final opponent, and the former Pirate King
I do think the two of them are equal, but battles cant keep ending with no winner forever. Take any two people of the same strength make them fight, and eventually you have to have a winner. So the way I see it whitebeard and him moved along equally the entire time, but in the end Roger just finally won. It dosent make him any stronger or better than whitebeard, it was just someone had to eventually. I do also beleive the scar on his chest is from him and rogers final battle. That's just the way I think it happened.

RE: So, is Ace Shanks son ?
Well, i'm on the ace and shanks are rogers son and grandchild boat. I also think blackbeard may have the most link to saul of all of em.
Now as for the freckle argument:
"
Now, the interesting thing here is that different people have different versions (alleles) of this MC1R gene, which will produce different versions of the melanocortin-stimulating hormone receptor. These alleles will respond differently when melanocortin-stimulating hormone is present, and melanocytes will produce different amounts and qualities of melanin in response. It is currently thought that much of the basis for differences in eye, hair and skin color is due to the various alleles of the MC1R gene.
So, how does all of this relate to your question? Well, Freckles (or Ephelides as they are known to doctors), are really melanocytes which are responding to UV light. When a fair skinned person is exposed to sunlight, they develop freckles, and when they shield themselves from the sun for prolonged periods of time, the freckles will fade. It has long been hypothesized that this freckle response was genetic. The current theory is that fair-skinned people (who tend to have red-hair because of genetic linkage) have an allele of MC1R which results in both overall low melanin production and the freckle response of melanocytes.
So, to summarize your answer, people with red-hair tend to have fair skin, and people with fair skin usually have fair skin because they have an allele of the MC1R gene which does not produce much melanin. It is thought that these same low-melanin-producing MC1R alleles are responsible for the response of melanocytes to UV which is characteristic of freckles. I said that fair skin is usually the result of a MC1R variant, but there are examples of people with Albinism, or darker-skinned but red-headed African people developing freckles as well. This suggests that there may be additional mechanisms which will result in a freckle. As is usually the case with biological phenomena, there are almost always multiple ways for a given thing to come about."
So there you have it, it's sorta genetic, but the freckles themselves are not. -
RE: Post All-Inclusive Things About Brooke In Here
Well, I really think we should save our opinions till next chapter, becuase all we have now is a weak "sure" to luffy's question. Could go either way I think.

RE: Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
If Roger ate a devil's fruit I would hope it was the gomu gomu fruit, and on death the fruit returns to its original state or something. If it was any other fruit i wouldent like it.
About luffy choking, I have to say this, if luffys kneck stretched long enough that his feet were securly on the ground, he wouldent be hanging, and unless he's as retarded as he acts, he could easily get out of a nuse. If your feet are on the ground you just loosen it, you need the weigth to keep it tight. The makes the question, would his kneck stretch down that far, enough that he got a secure stance. When the nuse is first put on you before you hanging they pull it back to tighten it, you can just pull it to the opposit way if theres no tension on the rope.

RE: Shanks uses a sword, does that automatically makes Mihawk stronger?
Yes Mihawk is a better swordsman in my opinion, though I just figured id throw it out there, that Mihawk refused to duel shanks after he lost his arm. Oda did say from what I remember, that it didn't truely effect his strength. And now he's been out there on the grand line for a long time and is one of the Emporers. Could shanks fight mihawk and struggle and overcome? Who knows, that would be up to fate(Oda), the problem is Mihawk simply wont fight him so we will probobally never know. So yes at the moment Mihawk should be stronger, but the two dont fight anymore to truely prove it. But I say it's Mihawk, thats my two cents.

RE: One Piece=Truly a Masterpiece?
Good Bad Masterpiece and piece of sh*t are all opinions. It's all in the eye of the beholder, In my eyes I've never read a story, seen a show, played a game, or seen any story of any sort that i've liked as much as One Piece, which makes it a masterpiece in my opinion. Now as for why, I could never truely tell you, that's just the way I am. I'm sure theres been ALOT of people who read a few chapters of One Piece and just absoluetly hated it, we'll just never see those people here of course lol. But that applies to anything really, no two people think the same.

RE: In the hierarchy of Blue Seas, how high Eneru would be?
I also think the 500 mil bounty may be because of his ideals. He seeks to control, and has no value for human life. He's the kind of person that would wind up being a major threat the world government. That along with his crazy logia powers.

RE: What if there's Logia weapon?
Actually speaking of Lasoo I may be wrong, I don't know, but I thought it's fruit just turned you part dog or something. Not like a zoan because it had no ability to transform or anything.

RE: Water Seven, how important was it?
Alright we got a follow up on coby, we learned of luffy's family lineage, and that ace may not be his real brother. We got to see more back story for shanks and buggy, and learned of the 4 emperors. We got a hint that blackbeard may be way stronger than we had previously imagined him. We learned of Dr Vegabank or whatever his name was, and how the large marine ships sail into the grand line. We learned its vegabank who learned how to make objects eat the devils fruit. Everyone in the crew moved to a new level of strength. We got to see about ohara, and get a tiny tidbit of information on the lost history. We got to see how powerful an admiral was, and got to see Robin transform into a proper mugiwara. Getting blamed for destroying eneies lobby. Finally, We got the new ship and franky as a shipwright, and a great chapter for going merry's funeral. I'd say not only is this arc extremely important, but now that all is said and done its one of my favorite, if not my favorite.
