Yeah, that moment when Luffy declared he is going to be PK and the next second Kaidou said "What King you wanna be?" was touchdown an epic moment… but i hope that Luffy won't powerup in these 2 weeks as it feels really really rushed if he can overcome Kaidou in just a 2 weeks worth of training. It felt a bit rushed with his CoO against Kata, but that is an experience-based improvement, but this is much more imo.

RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Take away Big Mom's devil fruit and she's not half as dangerous. Just saying. No cloud riding, no lightnings and fires.
It's also an assumption that Mihawk can't cut Buggy. ^^;
Almost everybody that is known as a powerful character in OP is strong in his own right, without DF, Haki, etc. Even Luffy, without Gomu Gomu is strong as hell. Remember when he still smashed rocks and shit before gaining Gear 2.
And also, as KageKage said, BM KO'ed the Giants leaders out cold, killed the bear, she even ate the fking kids, a table and some chairs in the middle of obtaining the DF :))) -
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
The discussion isn't about Luffy's reason to lash out and jump Kaidou, but more that he rushes in this situations and gets K.Oed/ captured/ beaten that it starts to grow repetitive for Oda to keep using the same circumstances / set-up for Luffy to develop / gain strength … I'm dying to see a good combo between post-timeskip Sanji Luffy Zorro or even with more of them.

RE: Official Wano Thread
We haven't even arrived at the capital with the story … expect that to be as huge as all Dressrossa.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Kaido wouldn't be searching for Momo if he already had somebody who could read the poneglyphs.
Is it a fact that Kaidou knows of Momo's existence ? I thought nobody knows they reappeared 20y later except Raizou (cause Jack asked specifically for him). And also i think back in Zou it was said that Momonosuke didn't inherit the ability to read/write poneglyphs and thus Kaidou would not need him. Also, i bet there are others that can do that besides the shogun and Oden.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Could the mystery person in the cell be the former Shogun, Kozuki Sukiyaki ? Idk if anybody thought of this before (it's a common scenario), but instead of Oden himself, Sukiyaki could be a logic addition to this arc since he could step in when Orochi goes down and be a father figure to Momo until he comes of age.

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
I think Urouge was solo when going into BM territory but i think by now he is under a Yonkou or at least is going to be. Currently he retreaded to a Sky Island where he saw Kiadou jump of, but he will come down and i bet BB needs a guy with acces to sky islands.
-
RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
Urouge most likely joined a Yonkou or is about to. Let's not forget that evne Shanks can welcome Supernovas in his crew (Bonney maybe?), but yeah Urouge is the best choice for BB pirates atm.
On the other hand, i'm really curious what Oda has in store for Kid and Killer after they get away from the shitstorm that is aproaching Wano - will they continue to go after Shanks? Following Luffy is out of the question for a guy like Kid i think (same for working under a Yonkou). My guess is that he will go after Shanks, gets beaten and join's him in his fight to balance the powers of the NW. He needs a conclusion somehow.

RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
@uniaka:
I was expecting someone to fight with seastone weapons ever since seastone was revealed. Even more if wano is the country where seastone comes from and also the only men that can craft small seastone.
With all those crazy strong DF users in the world someone has to take advantage of their kryptonite. I even want someone with full seastone armor and guns shooting seastone bullets and swords of seastone.
Benn Beckman i think has the seastone bullets or at least it's a theory. Seastone weapons should've made debut a lot earlier imo. Even more so after they entered the NW. I mean no one in BM's crew could acces a weapon like that… not the whole weapon, like Kata's trident could have the pointers like that or smth.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Yup, most of the guys/girls (?) here predicted it will either go back to Reverie or Weevil story. At least that is what i picked up from the last pages. Reverie was left in a cliffhanger with Sabo's group trying to save Kuma & Shanks random chitchat with the big guys.
Also, the story could cover Marco's side, Jimbei's & Sun Pirates outcome of the clash, Vinsmokes new plan, Caesar Clown's whereabouts or the other Supernovas. -
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Well, since they made seastone bullets i think they can make more stuff from it. My guess is that it was Hawkins idea for the nail bullets since he uses nails like Razh showed. But in the same manner, i'm waiting for some top seastone weapons/ shields/ equipment this arc since Oda just revealed that only the Wano craftsmen can produce refined seastone like that.

RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
The idea of the Beast Pirates going back to report someone, with Orochi or whoever then managing to easily confirm that this is Raizou, and then after that uses the mystery prisoner to relocate Zou again (which contradicts the highly implied use of a Vivre Card) is a very awkward and underwhelming setup that doesn't seem at all like something Oda would do.
Well first, the mysterious guy is in that cell for quite some time so i think it is improbable that he knows of Raizou's whereabouts. Second, Kaidou's men probably can't climb onto Zunisha just like that and third, yeah, if, i also think that they can locate Zou with the help of a mink traitor or a stolen vivrecard. The question remains - how does Orochi know that Raizou is on Zou giving it happend not so long ago and the person in the cell seems to be there for a while since no one can remember who he is and when he got incarcerated.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
I'm not saying they knew who Raizou is, but why would Jack request the minks to hand Raizou over and go to such length?
My scenario was that after they left Wano (and as you said, they were discovered but not identified) some Kaido men went after them and managed to get to Zou somehow and only saw Raizou trying to get to the top. They reported back and the description of the culprit matched Orochi's memory of how Raizou looked like and sent Jack back to Zou (don't know how he managed to get there, only if by vivre card/mink traitor).
Orochi probably dismissed the possibility that the culprit was Raizou after Jack's return and knowing what happend. Else, i can't make any connection to why Kaidou's men reached Zou and destroyed most of it just searching form a big head ninja. If you have a different theory be my guest, maybe we can put it together and get a better scenario :D
Yeah, the part with Jack being away was wrong, that is how i remebered from reading the chapters.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
I don't think kaido n orochi aware of return of kinemon n da gang.. aren't they?
Nope, don't think so… I think Kaidou's henchmen only saw Raizou and Orochi identified him and sent Jack for actual proof (considering the prophecy and all). They probably still think he is dead since Jack didn't found him on Zou.
Otherwise, i don't see how and why Jack would ask for Raizou specifically and would go to such length to get him.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Do Minks even have a way to find Zou that doesn't involve a Vivre Card?
Anyways, my issue with the traitor being in Wano all this time is that it wouldn't explain why the Beast Pirates specifically knew that Raizo was there. They didn't ask for any other samurai, just him.
Well, after Oden's fall, Orochi probably sought out all his retainers, including Kinemon&co and didn't find them. After they reappeared 20y later, they were chased by Kaidou's forces on their way to Zou (don't know how they managed to get there) and probably a henchmen saw Raizou and reported to Kaidou who reported to Orochi who identified him as Raizou.
About the Calamities, was wondering if all 3 were now in Wano (as Jack was supposed to be somewhere else for ex). I predict one Calamity to be in charge of Udon and someone that has been discovered so far will run into him when trying to free Luffy.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
No one said anything about "death glare", it's just how Oda wanted to say the he looks intensely in a specific direction. At least that is how i interpret the whole scene.
On another note, do you think all three Calamities are in Wano? I expect at least one more to be there in charge of the factories and mostlikely Zorro will run into him (he needs his own Cracker imo).
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
the bone projectile person is from mink tribe..I say it first!
thats why jack can reach zou using the vivre card obtained from that mink person in kaido jailI said that too a couple of pages ago that it is the traitor mink who they tortured to obtain whereabouts of Zou. Glad to see someone that got the same feeling ;)
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Because he doesn't see him and he sense his presence. Anyway, each to his own interpretation. I just don't see why Oda would bother with creating those panels if Luffy isn't looking toward the dark cell.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
If fishmen and Minks can have haki, I don't see why any other sentient race couldn't have haki.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
The guard explicitly says that Luffy is glaring at them. And his head is turned towards the guard.
https://s9.mkklcdnv2.com/mangakakalot/r1/read_one_piece_manga_online_free4/chapter_924_ha/14.jpg
I think that is exactly what Oda wanted to transmit, that Luffy either recognises the person or that it peeks his interest in him (probably sensing his aura/spirit/will whatever). I can't see why Oda would make that panel just for Luffy to glare at a guard, it's a waste of page imo. The guard thinks Luffy is looking at him but it is because the prison cell is right behind the guard, that is all.

RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
The man in the cage is either Absalom or Kuzan, i tell you :))
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
But why would it be Vegapunk since nobody from the Kaidou crew knows what's in the cage, they feed him poisonous fish, Fujitora visited VP a while ago, VP improved the pacifistas in the 2y span and he had no relation or connection to Wano. Same way it can be Absalom cause he has a similar tophat.

RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
@uniaka:
So is CoC going to have anything beyond fodder removal? At this point, CoA and CoO feel way more special because that is the way to fight non fodders and beasts like yonkou commanders or yonkou.
I think that a Coa Clash between a CoC user and a normal user results in the CoC users win. Remember that when Doflamingo tried to step on Law and Luffy blocked it it was a CoC clash as stated by the Earwax guy or how hes named.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Or, you know, Momo, since this is a manga built around inherited wills and Momo surely inherited his father's to make Wano a great country open to the rest of the world. Also it'd make no sense to return the throne to someone we've only had glimpses of through flashbacks and via other characters' opinions instead of handing it to the one struggling character that we've been told to sympathize with for four arcs now.
It Oden is alive it doesn't mean the throne has to go to him. He will be the best proof that Momo is his true son and successor to the throne. After that Oda can do whatever he likes with his fate/story.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
The part about the seastone nail and Wano being the source of it, got me thinking maybe we'll get to see Usopp having seastone ammo on his arsenal. If people in Wano only have mines of seastone, and not other metals like iron, they would use it for everything including in carpentery. Sry if alredy brought up here, i haven't read all the posts
Yup, was suggestin the same thing aswell as for Franky's cyborg body. Usopp has zero chance against any top member of any Yonkou crew. Oda needs to develop his newly found CoO at least. Usopp should stop taking near death beating from every arc villan. Franky also needs some seastone knuckles that can hurt DF users as nipple lasers and firefarts are not enough.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Someone, at some point, in this arc, is going to give Luffy a mountain of meat.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
The mystery man being Vegapunk is a bit farfetched to be based only on the silhouette. I'll go with the wild theory Sencho posted cause i think this arc needs Oden's figure to make light on what really happend and to make Momo's succession to the throne viable. I bet he it really is him, he is a dishearthen man that has thrown away his name/pride/hope and just awaits his trial ( considering he is there for like 20y or so).
He will get freed along with the others but his cover will remain hidden ( he probably looks like a bum nd no one recognizes him) and will reveal himself after he sees that the prophecy came true. The crucial information about poneglyphs, raftel, how Wano used to be, Orochi's manipulation has to come from him as nobody knows what really happend exactly. Kinemon and the others have a gist about what happend but they have zero proof. And someone has to rule Wano after Orochi and Kaidou are gone and Momo is far from a possible Daimyo substitution.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Wonder where Oda gonna go with Caribou knowing about Poseidon plot point. Pretty sure Kaido would love a Ancient Weapon so I'm sure Caribou hasn't spelled the beans yet otherwise he'll gone to capture her himself.
I think Oda made Caribou exactly for the purpose of "the guy who messes up things in favor of the main characters" for when shit hits the fan. Also i'm sure Oda has made his DF specifically for storing something at a later time that only he could do.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Well a lump of seastone would be pretty brutal of a weapon.
But shouldn't it also drain the wielder as well if it's that size
It's is probably made out just like Smoker's jutte, only the spiked end is out of seastone, the rest is normal… and it would be about time more seastone weapons to show up as it is the best counter to DF and nobody is using them ffs. Probably Smoker got his jutte also from here by some unknown means (gift from Issho back in the days) :D
Also, it would be really nice if by the end of Wano, Franky will get some seastones powerups, aswell as Usopp some seastone ammunition cause they gonna need it for everything that comes after Wano. Shooting plants and nipple laserbeams are not going to work on BM pirates, BB pirates, Admirals, etc.
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
About the newspaper, my guess is that they wrote something like "Monkey D. Luffy, is the newest All-Star of Kaidou's forces" to avoid more disruption among the citizens and to cover up that he is a pirate. That would explain the random faces :))
-
RE: Chapter 924 : Ha*
Regarding the mysterious figure in prison, don't think he is one of the three samurais.
https://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/921/9 - this is how Kinemon remembers then and neither has a tophat (like holdem has) and i think Oda sticks to the general outfit of the samurais (Ashura looks the same as he looked 20y ago). My guess is that the prisoner could be the Mink traitor that revealed Zou's location/tracking method and he was tortured for it. It is a could plot development since Inuarashi is here and will give a hand in helping him escape.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Well, seeing how the first half of One Piece was one adventure after another, the NW part will be the same. I don't think Shanks will play a tutoring role here, but more like a trigger for Luffy's and everyone's development.
After Wano there will be some other Arcs then have the purpose to
1. consume time so the story isn't too fast paced to be true,
2. Further develop each character individualy;
3. Explore the NW, obtain informations, make friends, whole One Piece principles;
4. Let the other subplots and side-stories develop - like the Im thing, Blackbeard, Ancient Kingdom, Revo's, etc. There are other purposes ofc, but Luffy and the others will not grow exponentially in a span of a couple of months just to be able to survive the incoming powerful villans each arc.
-
RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
From my perspective it's the best thing that could happen right now. Maybe it's the reason why Oda gave him so much to do since he came on Wano. And rest of the SH could definitely use some focus. Wouldn't even mind Luffy being the one that needs saving for a change. It's time for the rest to show they're worthy of being Pirate King crew.
As long as Kaido doesn't become a dragon again and swallows Luffy.
Yes, that is what everyone expects, for the other SH's to pump up the numbers when it comes to combat. A "rescue Luffy" scenario would work if the end results are everybody working to rescue him, not only his crewmates. If Oda goes for that scenario, he will most likely make Apo, Hawkins, Ashura Doji, other samurais, all of Wano, X Drake, etc team up and free Luffy and while at the same time starting to acknoledge him as a true pirate worthy of the Yonkou position, same as how Dressrossa ended with everybody joining Luffy's Fleet.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
My guess is that he was a dragon that was captured by the marines and sent to Vegapunk's laboratory to be tested on. He wanted to experiment with artificial DF and probably fed him a fruit so that the blood contains DNA from a dragon and also from a DF and thus came the "failed" artificial DF that Momo ate.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Also I guess he didnt wanted to block at all to see what Luffy can do. Beside that perhaps him shrinking to his human form makes him insanely dense so to say. So that he is impossible to kill because of how dense his body becomes thanks to shrinking into smaller form.
That would make X scar on his stomach easy to exmplain - for example Ashura together with second Samurai slashed his Dragon form belly and damaged him. He seems to be more vunerable in Dragon form.
Well, you have to take into account that he was floating in midair so he could'nt have put any resistance to Luffy's punches. Proof of his durability is that he didn't took any damage whatsoever from Luffy's punches while in dragon form.
And yeah, i also think he isn't a human. He could be a semi-giant race who ate dragon DF or the otherway around as you say. The possibility that he was a small dragon once that ate a DF zoan type sounds very plausible.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
I never really got how BM's iron skin worked exactly.
Like she's born with it, but loses it if she's emotionally affected.
Is it like a mental force field or what is it supposed to be?
It's from eating all the random stuff out there like chairs, tables, rocks, nun wanabes, etc.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Pretty sure he was supposed to straight up die and they forced him to keep Shanks around.
Shanks can simply have suck 12 years ago.
Shanks was to Raftel before 12y ago, he battled Whitebeard and Garp aboard Roger's ship and he didn't had any DF. I'm quite certain he was really powerful, but probably he didn't do anything to evade the sea monster in order to not hurt Luffy in collateral damage or something (ofc it's a bit of a stretch but it was for plot purpose).
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Well, Shanks didn't had any DF and was probably worried not to use any other way to counter the sea king as it would hit Luffy aswell. Other then that its plot purpose.
-
RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
@Long:
Greg curious what your thoughts on oda softening kaido or giving him a sad backstory after this chapter are? Some people were predicting maybe kaido finds a new reason to live and reforms after this arc but seeing how oda had kaido beat up speed and tama, albeit tama isnt dead and it was off panel, do you think those chances dropped.
Well, Oda most likely thought of his backstory from long ago, from when people called him "the strongest creature in the world" in the manga. My prediction is that Kaidou was once captured by the marines and sent to Vegapunk's laboratory in PH to be a labrat for the artificial DF experiment. Before or maybe at that time he ate the Mythical Zoan DF and it resulted in the "failure" DF that Momonosuke ate (see his reaction to Kaidou appearing as a dragon).
He could have a sad backstory (you can tell he had it pretty rough in his early years from his views over the world) but i think he is beyond redemption as Oda portrayeld him. He will accept death/defeat with a warm welcome since he was shown trying to end his life anyway.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
@Kaido:
Man, Big Mom didn't have nearly anything as impressive as Kaido, it's almost like none of the main characters were allowed to take her on in a full fight.
That is Oda trying to save the best for last. BM will show her strength when the SH's will go after BM Pirates.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Has anyone thought about the connection between Momonosuke's DF and Kaidou's DF ?
What if at some point after beign captured and escaping, Kaidou was sent to Punk Hazard and used as a labrat for Vegapunk to try and experiment his Lineage Factor and artificial DF - thus creating the so called "failure", Momonosuke's DF.
At some point, BM intruded into the lab and managed to rescue Kaidou and also met Caesar Clown with whom she kept in touch with for the later giantification experiment.
I presume someone already posted this but was wondering if there are any other connections :)
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
So your saying Luffy wasn't completely serious against Kaido? Besides there's no way a other top tier would get treated like BM did on Sunny.
He was extremely angered by what Kaidou did and he lashed out with force alone. If he were to use his new CoO maybe he could've dodged that attack, but that means he has to be composed and undistracted by emotions or anything -> hence taking the fight seriously.
-

No it just shows how poor Oda portrayal of Big Mom was.
Com on man, Luffy always gets kicked around before the serious fight. He got ass whooped by Croco, Luci, Magellan, Caesar and many more in the first clashes before he took things seriously and commited to the fight. On the other hand Jimbe is the most serious guy ever and he fights in a standard fashion. Why are we still comparing pears to apples.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
I could maybe buy Big Mom's and Kaido's abilities not being known widely, since they've been enclosed in their own lands, not getting into bigger conflicts for a long time. Even so, there are spies and rumors. And Kaido has a habit of going around random places to test himself, drunk or not. There's a huge possibility he was going to crash Marineford as a dragon.
Probably even Law knews the rumors about Kaidou beign a dragon before he started all the alliance thing and plan to overthrow Kaidou, but he wasn't convinced himself and probably treated it as a rumor or at least underestimating the magnitude of the information.
Also, this could be one of Kaidou Calamities since he has shown interest in cyborgs (Scotch or whatever his name is) :

RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
But awakening his DF won't be enough, he needs time to figure out ways to assimiliate it into his fighting style. For it's not a straigth forward power boost, but expansion of abilities.
Does it have to be triggered in battle? I think it makes more sense to learn it through other methods.
But if he loses conciousness and control over his DF maybe it will act on his own and awaken by itself. I'm not saying that he will beat Kaidou at the same time he awakens his DF. And as i said, through other methods is pretty hard for Luffy cause he knows no other way then through experience.
Anyway, even with awakening i don't see how he could win in a 1 vs 1 with Kaidou. It will probably be a cumulativ effort combined with exploiting Kaidou's weakness and external help.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
I don't think that Luffy needs to trigger his growth. He keeps growing exponentionally during and after every major fight. As long as he doesn't die he'll strive to push himself over his limitations and not lose sight on victory, that's the kind of fighter he is.
Yeah, Luffy increases his overall strength through experience but on the other hand he is really dumb and has poor insight capabilities. For him to achieve awakening i think you have to master the fruit and think how you can expand it's abilities beyond what it does to your body. I'm not on the boat of Luffy randomly awakening his fruit through intense fighting.
My reason to believe there should be a trigger is that something needs to happen that makes him snap and lose control over his fruit (thus is the only way for the DF's abilities to go beyond, the other beign that one has to research and test the limits of the DF). Luffy needs his his Krillin to pump up the numbers. -
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Well, my guess is that Luffy will lose someone important which will trigger his growth and possibly awaken his DF.
I'm not talking about other Strawhats, but anyone from Law to Kinemon could be used as a trigger cause Luffy only lost Ace since the beginning of the story and that was so dramatic that blackedout. Now it will be someone not that close to him but still enough to make him snap. Since Law was used for the whole Dressrosa arc and Wano arc main trigger of events,Oda could cut his story short here. Otherwise, it will indeed be asspull to give Luffy or others the power needed to beat Kaidou.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
When I first read the chapter it looked super odd, but comparing the two panels it seems like they fit together okay. all he did was thrust his club forward, while still in the sideways position, all while flying(?) forward towards Luffy.
I assume Oda intentionally made the transition so fast so that it emphasizes on the speed of his attack that even G4 Luffy couldn't react to it. It was a straightforward attack with a huge club that hit his head spot on. Normally he could've avoided it but it just speaks words on the speed of that one attack.
-
RE: Chapter 923: Emperor Kaidou VS Luffy
Now Sanji will step in to save Luffy but will also get oneshoted by Holdem and both will get thrown into jail … comic relief.
-
RE: Chapter 922: Supreme Commander Kaido of the Animal Kingdom Pirates
We really haven't seen a Top Zoan DF user that has awakened his fruit and was able to control & master it (meaning he didn't transform into a mindless beast).
We saw what raw strength the Zoans in Impel Down had. WE could get a Lion Model : Chimera type that would be out of this world strong.
-
RE: Chapter 922: Supreme Commander Kaido of the Animal Kingdom Pirates
Not saying that he needs to, but he probably would have.
He's better than that, in short. Can't just introduce a villain one day and have Neko, Carrot and Pekoms suddenly saying "Omg, that's somesuch who left Zou ages ago" then force feeding us emotional relevance of that encounter and inevitable future fight. There is always some sort of a buildup with Oda in situations like that.
I get your point but by the reasoning, there won't be any other Mink character of seemingly importance from now on since Oda hasn't foreshadowed anything. Anyway, i really hope the other Calamities are drawn in the same manner as Jack and not as Holdem.
-
RE: Chapter 922: Supreme Commander Kaido of the Animal Kingdom Pirates
There's also Hawkins' cat.
Nobody needed to mention them because they aren't prominent characters, not yet anyway. If there was a mini-boss mink in Kaido's crew, you bet your ass there would have been a foreshadowing. Oda wouldn't just put a mink character there just for kicks. There would have been a back story, and an emotional weight tying them with one or more of good guy minks. Like an estranged family member, or a villainous castaway.
Why does Oda need to always keep the same pattern for introducing villans. He could be Bepo's father, a Grizzly bear. Probably minks are too ashamed to mention him giving that he betrayed them at some point or something. He probably was a former retainer of Oden that stayed behind when Oden was killed and joined Kaido and the other minks probably think he is dead already.
