One of the big things that bugged me in wano arc is that Jinbei and Kawamatsu didn’t have a moment. It didn’t cost Oda anything to give them a moment. When jinbei was alone sitting at the dinner table while the others were parting, that would have been a great opportunity for jinbei and Kawamatsu to have a talk.
What does Kawamatsu know about the Fishmen and the world outside?. Does Kawamatsu know how to talk to some fish like jinbei does?. Can he handle water like jinbei?.
These things are not trivial, they enrich the story.

RE: Chapter 1058: New Emperors
@cavendishsama said in Chapter 1058: New Emperors:
@access-timeco A scenario I could imagine would be:
Big Mom is getting impatient with Pudding -> tells a Sweet General to seek the Man with the Burn Scar (if he's supposed to be someone who can read Poneglyphs, that's also how Kid could have learned about him), alternatively it could be the Sweet General heading for Three Eyed Tribe Island or wherever they are -> Kid intercepts him/her, steals the rubbing of the Poneglyph.Still somewhat careless of course, but at this point I'm not considering it plot conveniance if the BM pirates are incompetent, it's just who they are.
Whatever scenario of Kidd getting the poneglyph from a Sweet commander, is just too convenient and stupid. It’s just Oda going the easiest way to make Kidd relevant. Apparently he just said, I don’t have time to think too much crap.
I have seen some people say that Big Mom pirates are a joke and this Kidd story just adds to it but the truth is that if you look at all the yonkos and their organization, Big Mom’s should be or should have been the best by far. Her main crew is constituted by her kids, many of whom are veterans in their 40s and with powerful fruits. She also had complete control of her territory unlike Kaido. Has she committed stupid mistakes, well other than hiring Bege, I can’t think of any. Luffy and a couple of strawhats besting her at WCI should not be seen as incompetence. Luffy’s the MC and he was gonna do that to anybody and he really had to struggle even with all the luck/help he could muster.

It’s very rare, very rare when the anime episode is better than the manga and this was way better than the manga in Everything.

@realtenchu Don't worry. Kuzan will probably be the one to save Koby- revealing that Kuzan is the leader of "sword".
You still have not answered the most important question. Where was Koby when the strawhats fell at SA?. Where was he when kizaru and the pacifista surrounded them. Where was he when the westfold fell?.

My thoughts exactly.
Only Momo's flashback at the start suffered from slight pacing slowdowns on some frames, but we'd be eating good if we otherwise had normal pacing in EVERY episode of the anime. I get that they can't animate like this every day but the pacing should be the norm, and not an occasional thing
Let me repeat, this WAS one of the best fighting and overall episode in the history of One Piece. This is the One piece that I felt in love with, the romance Dawn saga. Captain Kuro, Don Krieg, Arlong, we are back to that. This Is One Piece

Didn't expect Law to land all of gis awakened attacks on BB either. Also really seems like BB doesn't have conquerors haki and won't be resisting Law's amputate or even shambles. If Van Augur is occupied then BB can be teleported in the sea.
I heard a theory that Blackbeard doesn’t have conqueror’s haki because of way he has risen. I really hope this is true. There must be a price to pay for not challenging the powers head to head.

RE: Chapter 1065: Six Vegapunks
So the ancient kingdom was advanced, what about the rest of the world?. Was the ancient kingdom helping, controlling, developing the rest of the world or they were just hogging all the advanced tech for themselves?.
What about the devil fruits, did they exist at that time, were they a creation of the ancient kingdom or just part of the natural world?. We know that the nika fruit existed at least during the void century.
The world seems to have gone backwards and more magical. The celestial dragons, the victors of the void century indeed wrote the history but for all their power and knowledge, they just can’t completely bring the world to heel. They can’t even control the devil fruits. 800 years should be enough to at least round up and store the most powerful and useful fruits.

I had the same problem with this episode (and probably will have later on with the similar ones) when we touch the "tragedy" of Wano any way:
The anime team so overused all these flashbacks and scenes (at least 15 times, but who counts...) regarding Oden and the Wano suffering (Otama, SMILE fruits, etc.) that I (and many fans as well) became totally numb to all this.
Sorry, but that's the truth.I just want Wano arc to end and move on.
And we got another recap episode... great.
I agree the flashback took too much of the episode. I would have rather they had expended on something more creative.
The anime has done great in the last few episodes on adding things that weren’t on the manga. That episode where Luffy grabs and throws lightning is one of the best episode ever made. On this episode they could have added more celebrations from the samurais specially from old man hyogoro and his group. It would have been better a more detailed and expanded celebration by the people inside Onigashima. -
RE: Chapter 1079: The Emperor's Crew, the Red-Haired Pirates
I think BB ship is there to kidnapped Robin. I assume by this time they know that the Triclops is useless. The weird feeling is that they are probably gonna succeed in kidnapping. I’m gonna hate that storyline if it happens.

As I said earlier, it would be better if Sanji was away since the beginning, and Usopp was the one to trap Kaku. A good moment for the later and no character inconsistency for the former.
Usopp and Franky should be bulking up. This is the perfect arc for both to be upgraded.
Usopp should be getting a few of those bubble weapons and maybe some lasers, etc.. Franky, this is his oyster. If he doesn’t get anything from this then I don’t know what to tell you.
What powers the pacifistas?. They don’t seem to run out quick and their laser usage seems to be easier than Franky’s.

What really sucks is that Kuma's entire story is going end with his death and I do believe it'll be his salvation as he'll say goodbye to Bonney and see Sun God Nika. I'm probably gonna cry at the end of this, I know it.
Could very much be. But I’m still not cleared on the memories of Kuma and how much that robot Kuma that’s coming is Kuma. Someone said here that Kuma has suffered so much that he will be given some redemption here and not die. Maybe his memories can be transferred into another body. Maybe he’ll become the ancient giant robot. Who knows how Oda will play it out.
But whatever happens yes I want to see a great entrance by Nika as Kuma and Bonney see him. They have been admiring Nika in this flashback. They should be well rewarded.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuma lays down dying at Egghead while seeing Luffy in Gear 5th attack Saturn, and is content with the knowledge that Luffy will beat him in the future even if he’s not around to see it, being reassured that his will will be fulfilled.
It reminds me of when Tom fell down just as he was acknowledging how his sea train helped out Water 7.
That Luffy will beat him in the future?.
Saturn is dying here, there’s no escape for him.
I’m more sure of Saturn dying here than Kuma. -

Maybe Marco will pull up at Egghead, because of Bakkin telling Marco that Vegapunk can confirm Weevil's heritage.
I know, we are all desperate for the next spoilers too.

RE: Chapter 1106: On Your Side
This should not be an escape, this should be a win and an execution. The arc has been talking about a shocking thing that’s gonna happen and there’s only one thing that could shock and that’s An elder’s demise. It should come at the hand of Bonnie or Kuma to close the justice circle.
If Kuma lives, I Don’t know how Bonney becomes a strawhat unless Kuma himself joins. And what’s gonna happen with all the pacifistas?. If they aren’t destroyed here, I suppose the giants could take them all to elbaf. Maybe vegapunk could reprogram them not to obey the marines anymore if Bonney is not around.

I have a feeling we won't actually learn what Vegapunk says next chapter, only reaction shots around the world, like "I can't believe it!", or "It's true?!".
Well after that Marco ending in Wano, I wouldn’t be surprised.
What the heck was that?.
In a flashback:
Flying turkey: “Hey guys good job, you’re the future bye”Luffy: “you helped me out at summit war bye.”
And thus began Marco’s real adventure, looking for Patchwork.
